The quality of service is not as good as other spots but the prices are dirt cheap. I did get a regular mani that chipped after just two weeks, which seems pretty fast compared to other spots. Pedicures generally last longer so Q Nails is a great option since it's still quite cheap They're also decent at eyebrow waxing, only paid $12 which is a steal. If I need something more reliable then I would go with Honey or a nicer spot in Manhattan. read more

I came in here on a Friday!! Didn't wait long , i wanted a gel manicure. I had three tips left from my wedding . Took like 10 minutes to get off in the end i wasn't even charged to remove them. I paid $28 and got a great massage . I waited before leaving a review because of the ones i read. And i wanted to know if the gel lasted. I must say it felt very thin i was afraid it would come off . But it lasted two weeks not bad. Will definitely go back read more

Been coming here consistently for the last 6 months because it's the most convenient since I live by the waterfront. The aunties at the store have been very accommodating whenever I have concerns about the shape or look of the nails. I appreciate their patience whenever I'm there. When it comes to powder nails I think the results are great! The vibe is simple but the prices are the best that I've found in the area. May vary between technicians but so far the ones I've experienced are good. read more

Edit: I have gone back for gel manis a handful of times since this review due to convenience and also price. I've gotten mixed results each time but I will say that none have been has bad as this first time I went. So I would say it's definitely technician dependent. read more

This has been my go to nail salon since the day I moved to LIC. All the ladies there are nice and professional. I'm easy going with the style and always pretty happy with all the gel manicures I got done here. Although some customers can be very specific about they what they want but I think this place deserves more than a 5 star review. They also have back massage services available which is totally worth your money. Go around 4-430 if you can, that way there's no wait and you can avoid the crowd read more

Just left the salon frustrated. Got a gel mani and regular pedi and they did a terrible job - don't know where to begin. Nail technician was really rough on the nails, the shapes of the nail aren't really the same. The painting itself was awful, you see the uneven layers. Note, I have asked the technician to fix numerous times. If I stayed quiet, I would have left with worst nails. read more

I am a nurse, so my hands get washed and purell'd a lot. A gel manicure should last for 2 weeks without chipping or annoyingly peeling back from the nail. There are a couple nail technicians here who really strive to give you that, and that's why I keep coming back to my specific nail tech. If she's busy, I'll come back another day. If I can make an appointment with her, I get a lovely gel mani that lasts a full 2 weeks. read more

50 dollers for gel pedicure. EXTREMELY RUSHED. That's what I get for not going to my usual spot, but because I work close by I decided to try this place. Instant and total regret. So expensive and once again rushed, the whole thing took like like 20 minutes maybe 25 at most / skimped out on the massage because some one else came in. Just over all not worth the price. read more

I've been to multiple nail salons in the area - both the LIC waterfront and court square - and I think Q Cute is consistently the best. I asked for this design and they knocked it out of the park. I always call same day or day before to ask for an appointment. Highly recommend. Well priced, too! read more

It's my first time here and honestly I had a good experience. I was seated right away and worked on immediately. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The lady who did my nails (she had glasses) was very careful and articulate. She made sure every cuticle was taken off and everything was smooth. I asked for a certain design and it was very well done. Also her massage was out of the world....I felt every knot from my neck and back go away. The price isn't bad at all. I spent $33 for a gel mani with designs. Other places would charge more.. I would come back here- also the facility is very clean. Everything was very well put and I had a very positive experience here. read more

This is my first time reviewing a manicure because I want to make sure others in LIC residents and others don't waste their money. I spent over $40 on only the gel manicure that should at least last 10-15 days but it didn't last a week. It's sad that they believe taking people's money for service that is not worth it. I also did my pedicure and I had to tell the tech how she didn't clean off my nails before applying the nail polish. My recommendation for this business is work on customer service, smile and care about what you do everyday. They can't stay in business otherwise. read more

Horrible gel mani which they charged me $40 for. The lady was not comfortable doing a special powder gel effect nail but instead of telling me that , winged it, and the result was horrible. She then put this color on top which is nowhere near what I wanted but whatever. The result is a bumpy mess with nail polish everywhere. I had to leave so they couldn't do it all over again. I've been patronizing this business since I moved into the neighborhood, in 2021. It was this past Thursday (2/15/24) when I walked in at 6:15pm. I told Amy I needed a mani/pedi (gel). She told me to have a seat and let the new guy do me. She knows me - so I'm not sure why she handed me to him. I sat down, & he proceeded. A Caucasian woman walked in about ten minutes later & started asking Amy should she leave, since I'm in the chair. IDK what that was about, but it was nine o'clock when the new guy finished my pedicure & my toes were not filed properly. Amy started stating to the white woman (who came after me-once she was done with her pedicure) how tired she was, & that I should come back tomorrow to get my manicure. I knew it though. I felt it as the time passed. This is black history month & me being African American - I was extremely offended. Esp b/c she chose not to service me-over them. She wouldn't dared let them leave-feeling how I felt, once I left. That's what was offensive. As a loyal customer (number one), and then watching her take every white person who entered the salon after me (number two), REALLY PISSED ME OFF. I will be finding a new nail salon. I had to then ask her to put the foil on my nails (which she did not want to do), with a plastic glove on-and walked in the cold, home. I then didn't have the tool at home-to remove the gel which was lifting from the acetone & it was really making me angry. I couldn't believe they just wasted my evening like that. When businesses show you how they feel about you, BELIEVE THEM! & then proceed accordingly. At this very moment, I still have gel particles on my nails. I'm way disappointed at how she did me. I asked to speak to ten owner and she told me that she is in China! So here I am, writing this very detailed review. Stop being rude to paying/tipping customers! read more

Review related to my first pedicure after the pandemic, also I never been here before. This salon is cute but really small. Everyone wear a mask and there are plexiglass partitions. Plenty of sanitizers in places. My pedicure was good, but nothing special, which I guess it's fine since it was just $26. This place ain't so bad. Especially for the neighborhood - LIC is LACKING on good, affordable nail salons. Workers were friendly enough. place seemed clean enough. I came by for a quick mani/pedi and massage. She took her time on my hands and feet and did a nice job. Mind you, my nails chipped in 2 days, but thats to be expected with a basic, non gel or powder dip job. I've been hesitant to try this place out due to the mixed reviews but glad I finally bit the bullet. I'll def be back as it's convenient and I'm tired of schlepping to Astoria or Manhattan to get my nails did! read more

Definitely the best nail salon in Hunterspoint, also reasonably priced for the neighborhood at $33 for manicure and pedicure. They also have a loyalty card so if you go a lot that you can redeem for a free manicure/pedicure. Fair warning, it takes a lot to get there. I go twice a month and have only cashed in one so far. The girls are always very nice and do a good job. It does get busy during peak hours as it's a small salon so if you're going during those times just be prepared for a wait or be okay with coming back. Really it's great, no complaints- I only left off a star because it's not a high end salon like tenoverten but as long as you know what you are walking into it's fantastic! It's also a very clean facility which is a must have for me. read more

Absolutely worst nail experience I've ever had. The photos will tell. The rudest staff EVER. I spent 2 and a half hours here for them to tell me my finger is bent upwards that's why the nail looks this way as if this was my first manicure! I'm beyond upset at how poorly the staff is trained to talk to their customers, extremely unprofessional. Not only did they not listen to what I wanted my nail length to be, they switched nail techs mid manicure, made me bleed, ripped my skin off, and yelled at me when I told them my nails were all different shapes and lengths. I will never go back and I highly suggest you save your time and money and do not go here! read more

They are very clean. The prices are fair considering that they are located in LIC. Sometimes the nail polish doesn't last long. As far as consistency I only go to the same person, because some just do a mediocre job. The only bad experience that I had with them which I had to take a break going to the salon. I have an afro and every-time ago they will ask me if that is my hair. One day the owner put her hands all the way onto my roots to see if it was real. Then she said something in her language to her staff. I was so furious but I didn't say anything, because I knew that it would not end well with her. She has not done anything similar again but if she does this time I would not stay quiet. read more

After a couple years of consistent good service, updating my review and showing my appreciation to a solid, neighborhood nail salon. It's on the small (cosy) side but the services are effective, well priced and the salon is open until late. Extensive color selection, accepting the cards, it checks all boxes to get a mani/pedi done. Props to Jasmin for a great back massage last night, she was super helpful! read more

The technician did a poor job on my french pedicure and I'll need to find another place to get a redo. I selected this place since I was in the area and it closed at 9p. Other places closed earlier. It seem to have ok ventilation since it didn't have the strong smell like other places. The staff are chinese and seem to know some English. The whole process took an hour. You get to sit on the massage chair. At the end, you get a little shoulder rub for a few seconds. read more

I went today t get my nails done I will NEVER go here again.. They looked at me as if I don't belong there my nail technician act is if she didn't want to touch my nails. I told my nail technician they look nice no smile she just looked at me like ok as if she wanted me to hurry up and and just go. When it came down to her giving me a massage it was less than 20 secs.. The only thing I can say my nails came out nice but the way they made me feel will never forget. So I care less about how the nail look at this point its about the customer service. I'am a African American women I deserve to be treated fairly just as anyone else. read more

This place is alright. I didn't feel like any EXTRA attention was paid but on the other hand, I don't think that my pedicure was bad at all. It just is what is. Staff wasn't super busy but they definitely had customers to balance. Hard to beat $23 for pedicure in OR out of the city and I think that's their strong point. I agree there was kinda a English language barrier, but it didn't inhibit the service. read more

Great foot massages, poor for nail services. I would show you my gel manicure but this is the 2nd time I went and it came off in 2-6 days. The color selection for powder dip gel is so bad I can't even have that done there. My pedicures are always smudged too. Sadly LIC doesn't have much to offer so I'm starting to go back to the city for my nails. Rather take the train 1 stop then pay $50 every week for chipped nails. read more

They currently have an infestation problem. Lots of flies and crawly winged bugs on the floor, which one of the employees was stomping over right in front of the clients. When I looked around, there were many bugs crawling right at my feet, which left me feeling itchy and paranoid. I had to leave. I get that these things tend to happen, but the right thing to do is to close the business until extermination has been performed, not leave customers to be surprised by the condition of the place mid-treatment. They also asked me to pay AND TIP before I even got the service done. I have never had a place ask me to tip them, let alone before the service was even completed before. Tipping is a complementary touch, which I always do. I paid $35 (plus the tip they asked me for upfront) for a manicure I will now have to redo myself one day after getting them done. Such a mess. for the high price i am extremely sad and disappointed. i never get to have them done and i was hopeful this place would do well :( I hate to leave a bad review but I definitely would not recommend their gel manicures. Not sure why the photo won't upload. On a high note, it was clean and i did not have to wait to get in. The massage was nice.

When I started getting my nails done, they were always short and so brittle that they would never grow, and my cuticles were terrible. As I got bored with the single color, I asked for an ombre at a random chop shop one day, which was a BIG mistake. Please see the first two pictures. I thought to myself that I might not be able to find someone to do nail designs until I saw my best friend's nails and was introduced to Miki. After going to Miki, my nails became so strong and long, and people are always surprised when I tell them they are my natural nails, with no extensions or anything over them. Miki brought all my nail design visions to life. My question wasn't if she could do it but which five nail designs I wanted to pick that day. She did my nails for my engagement, bridal, wedding, and baby shower, and I would not trust anyone else to do it for all my special occasions. I highly recommend her and trust me; you will not be disappointed.

I paid $45 for a manicure, pedicure and 10 minute massage which I think is more than reasonable for the area. The salon itself is a little run down and colors are disorganized but for the price and service, I'm willing to overlook it.

I was denied many times the service because they were "busy" but they took different customers (with no prior appointments) in front of me. I kept going to this salon for years because it's close to my home and does a service for my nails that I cannot find anywhere close. But I had enough! Today this salon lost a loyal customer that spent a lot of money in that place. And I will take a lot of other customers with me to another place. I hope the owners will take measures with the employees and implement some common sense rules.
