As any of you who have been on any extended vacation, you know it takes a week of prep time just to leave for a week. So many things to do! So little time! Anyhoo, I was in the middle of getting last minute chores done prior to leaving the next day, when I got wild hair... My husband asked me if I would cut his toenails because he had a painful torn meniscus and couldn't bend down to cut them. I politely declined and immediately countered with, "Why don't we both go get a pedicure?" (Good save, I must say.) Which brings me to why we both were in ALL Nails & Spa hours before we were getting out of dodge and heading east. We picked the first place we saw and luckily they took walk-ins. We both "Ooohed & Ahhhhed" whilst our "Spa Spouses" tended to our ugly, unkempt feet. At the last minute, I decided to throw in acrylic fingernails. Why not? I'm here! An hour and a half later ... or was it two ... time flies when legs are masterfully massaged ... we both walked out of there feeling fit and fine! Thank you to Sandy, Susan, Tyler and Rosy. Amma (?) was wonderful! She didn't try to up charge or sell us anything. I got a citrus pedicure with regular polish, French dip manicure, and my mom got the citrus pedicure with gel polish. The total ended up coming to $150 together before tip and we felt that was fair and that our nails looked great! They offer 1 free alcoholic drink (or soda, water, etc) while getting your nails done, and they have massage pedicure chairs. We made an appointment in the middle of the day on Tuesday (right after new year's holiday) and it was very very busy. Happy to see local businesses thriving, but a word of caution if you are looking to get in quick, you may need to be flexible or get lucky with a less busy time.

Each tech has been very helpful, detailed and kind. This place *does* seem very busy and I understand why: they do good work. I'm never concerned with the wait, even when I have an appointment, because I can be in a hurry anyplace else but the nail appointment is my time to slow down and if they need extra time to get to me then who am I to assume I know how to manage their business better than they do?! They do their dip powder the correct way (without UV lamps) and seem to have good repartee with their clients. No one or company can offer perfection every time so mistakes and miscommunication are bound to happen but I have found my concerns to be met with all willingness to fix what I want, when I want it. I have had a dip mani every time and only this last set had a few that came off--BUT only because I'm in the 6th week of having it (thanks snow-pocolypse and sickness...). I think their prices are reasonable and the facility is clean, albeit not pristine--they deal in paint, of course there are going to be little spills and imperfections. And to put a point on how much I have appreciated their service, I don't even live north of the river.
