I went to visit my boyfriend's mom in homer glen. In Chicago we have so many great restaurants, but we always have hard time to get something good and fresh in suburbs. This restaurant impressed all three of us. The food was fresh and delicious and the owner is so friendly and talented. This is the best restaurant in the south suburbs and one of my favorite in the entire Chicagoland area. If Q was downtown it would be weeks for a reservation and double the price. Visited Q tonight with my girlfriends for the Martini Tasting and it was great! The owners, two sisters, are absolutely lovely, friendly and accommodating. This is a hidden gem in the burbs (the location is unfortunately tucked in a mini strip behind Starbucks so the street visibility is nil & the marketing/logo doesn't do it justice). Everything here is custom crafted and wonderful! I've heard some people says it's pricey, but for the quality & quantity of the really fresh food, it isn't. We've met the owner/chef -- she's self-taught & puts a unique spins on her favorite traditional creations. I crave the pad tai (perfect take out dinner) and can easily make 2 or 3 meals out of it. We live in the city...thai food and french vietnamese food (aka Le Colonial) are our favorite foods to enjoy at many local establishments . My wife and I decided to try this place out (since it was new) After walking in were thought it looked nice and where impressed a bit. But after looking at the menu we had a bit of shell shock over the price. At first we wanted to walk out, but then I decided to try it just the one time. I thought the food was ok, but not worth the price. We are some what of food snobs and usually dine in the city, where we get better quality food for usually less the price. This being said, it is one of the better places I have eaten at in this area, but probably will not go back due to the price. I don't write Yelp reviews but I'll make an exception. This place was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly, quiet but very elegant. Our waiter was very good. Friendly, attentive and helpful with suggestions. The lemon grass spring role appetizer was surprisingly good. The yellow curry chicken was so good. I loved it. The chocolate marscapone cake was perfect. The coffee was perfect too (no sugar or cream needed). It was slow for a Friday. I really hope business picks up for them because I want them to succeed. Went on a Sunday evening. There was barely anyone there. 1] Price is way too high. I would understand the pricing if I was in the city but we're in Orland Park. I yelped this place and saw the rave reviews and I should have checked the price-points. If I had, I would def not have stepped into this place. 2] The waitress was so awkward and I wanted more information about why it was fusion and just background info about the restaurant, but she didn't make an effort. My wife and I tried Q today. I'm glad we did! We had the mayonnaise seafood rolls and shrimp rolls as appetizers. They were excellent. My wife had the chicken spicy basil and I had beef pad Thai. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. They were featuring Liz Mandeville, a great Chicago blues musician. She is so engaging. She even had the whole restaurant singing. It was so much fun. The mixologist/bartender is very talented. I had the best mojito ever and saw her make several special cocktails. We started our meal with calamari that came with 2 delicious sauces. We shared Pho and the Red Snapper. It was really too much food but they were great. It seems they often have live entertainment. If you go to this restaurant I would recommend ordering some of the suggestions from the other dinners who have taken the time to inform you. I realized that the efforts of the Chefs Best might give you more pleasure from plating to the intricate Sauces and creativeness much more so than the standard Thai Dishes. We ordered Four Thai Dishes that you would find in other Thai Restaurnats and were not impressed. The presentation was nice, however the price was almost double. Had a great experience here with my girlfriend. The staff are very nice and the place is very nice has a modern touch of fine asian dining. The food is good minimal size fit for a fine dining restaurant. We tried the frog legs tempura and it was very deliciuos. Well I must say I was a little disappointed we were there on a Saturday night to celebrate my daughter's engament and our 50th wedding anniversary. I was glad to see they expanded there menu but I ordered the drunk in noodles and someone else pepper steak which was good but very small portion compared to the rest of the meals and the drinking noodles were tasteless very disappointed . I really hope they do not go by the way of most restaurants and stop trying to please there customers.Plus the other sister who is part owner was not there and she always always made us feel welcomed.Very very disappointed. read more

The first time we tried Q restaurant was 3 weeks ago and it was great. It was on a Friday night with live music. The food, drinks, and music was very good. We wanted to go back so last Friday we did unfortunately. The server was very curt and abrupt with us. She also said the bar could not make the martini we wanted and we had to stick to the menu. The first time we went they made the martini we wanted. I'm not sure what changed or why they wouldn't accommodate us again. We were very unhappy with the server which I believe was one of the owners. She needs to get a clue otherwise they will not stay in business. I've never had such a rude waitress in my life.
