Good tacos but not much meat for the price. $20 for 6 street tacos is a little steep especially for a hole in the wall taco spot.

Legit Mexican food in beautiful Flower Mound. Finding that the best Mexican restaurants in Texas tend to be connected to a gas station.

It is located in a very nondescript strip mall What stood out even more was that this is truly a family-run restaurant. The kids were helping out, Grandma was working, and everyone seemed to have a role. There's something special about a place where the whole family is pitching in, and you can feel that warmth from the moment you walk in. If you name your restaurant Gorditas, I'm ordering gorditas. There was never any doubt. We both ordered the three-gordita plate. Mine came with potato, pork, and fajita chicken. Every one of them was delicious. My husband chose beef, cactus, and potato. Of course, I had to sample all of his too, and honestly, I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. The plates also came with rice and beans topped with caramelized onions, which was such a nice touch and added a lot of flavor. I left stuffed, happy, and already thinking about which gorditas I'll order next time. If you're looking for authentic food served by people who clearly care about what they do, this is a great stop.

For 3 things with no sides or drinks that is insane. Especially when you see the quality. As if that wasn't bad enough I get home to find that my fajita torta was actually a ham sandwich with a couple of crumbles of beef. WHO PUTS HAM ON A FAJITA TORTA? There were more jalapeños than anything else. It took me forever to pick them out. The street tacos were small even for street tacos and they both came with 1 tortilla each. This place is not it. No wonder there was only one guy in the whole place. Save yourself some money and go to Fiesta's deli or Taco-hut.

The lady was really nice and pleasant and helped a couple gringos order dinner. :) Tried their street tacos and had a barbacoa, pastor, and carnitas. It came with rice and beans. May have been an off night. But I can't say that anything was awesome or would I would consider GOOD. It was just kinda meh. The barbacoa had a lot of grease, which I would expect to be very flavorful. It was somewhat bland. The pastor was really dry and probably my least favorite. It may have just been in the warmer all day or something. The carnitas wasn't bad. It was tender and the best flavor. Their salas were good. The green didn't have any heat to it and had a pleasant taste. The red one had a nice flavor but made me sweat a bit. The rice was light, fluffy and tasted food. The beans were beans... not a ton of flavor could've used some salt. Decent dining experience. It's in an older gas station. Not the cleanest place (not the taqueria's fault), but it wasn't nasty. Won't swear this place off, but not in a rush to go back. Service was fast and friendly. May have been an off night for them. There are worse places to eat.... We supported a small business, if nothing else. :)

The chorizo was good. It was what I expected. However, there wasn't much bacon in the BEC tacos. In fact, there wasn't much of anything in any of the tacos. They were ... lite. Lite in flavor and size. Very skinny. No look, it's obvious they know how to cook and I'd bet their street tacos would be good, but this breakfast was disappointing. TM, if you're reading this, please put more fillings in your tacos.
