After those first three years, and due to a scheduling conflict, it was necessary to change my staff person to Lynne, who has also been excellent and very precise. I must say I was extremely disappointed with the Andover facility. I had an appointment for myself my daughter and my 16-year-old granddaughter. We all felt extremely uncomfortable and that staff was very rude with us. After leaving the facility I checked the service fees online and compared to what I was charged I feel I was overcharged for the services that we received. If I could give zero stars.. I would. I came in to take my acrylics off and I saw on the website that it is $15. I did a walk in and didn't even wait for 5 mins in the waiting area so I thought I would have a good experience... I was so wrong. The guy who took my acrylics off put acetone in a bowl and told me to put my nails in the bowl. He walked away and after 5 mins he came back and started taking my acrylics off and also started clipping off my cuticles. I saw my cuticles floating in the acetone bowl and the next thing he does... He puts the acetone that had my cuticles in BACK IN the acetone bottle... LIKE WTF!! That's so disgusting. Now I wonder if I was giving reused acetone. He finishes my service and next thing you know.. BOOM!! He charges me $40, just for my acrylics to come off and to clip my cuticles and shape my natural nails. When I went to the cashier I did ask why it is $40 instead of the price on their website, they said they have been trying to update the prices on their website but they couldn't. Like i'm sorry but how is that my fault? They didn't want to reduce the price so I just paid the $40 instead of going back and forth with them. On top of that, they said I called before I came and said I agreed with the price... I never once called the place, I just did a walk in. I wanted to like this place since it's looks so nice inside. But what really matters is the service and the cleanliness in the place and I was so disappointed. I will never go back. read more

This place has gone down the tubes. I'm really surprised and disappointed. I had an appointment a week ago and 20 minutes after my appointment time after not being seen yet, I had to leave. Scheduled it at a specific time for a reason. When I sent an email in to let the manager know I was upset about it , I got zero response. I have tried to call and reschedule several times and immediately get put on hold. The Nail Tech was very much a perfectionist and did a great job, but unfortunately by the time I was done and she told me I could put my shoes back on they had not been dry enough and were smudged by the time I got home. My legs were a little prickly because I didn't want to shave since i'll be in a wedding this Saturday and I'll be doing it then. So then she proceeded to make fun of my prickly legs. Asks me if I want me fingernails done cause they look so bad. Wow thanks! Um no I am not getting fingernails done. So the service I paid for was basic pedi with a scrub, mask, hot towel and some citrus moisturizer or something. The mask was not a mask. She barely put anything on my legs. Went to get a fill, they got me in right away but the (1st) woman who did my nails didn't say two words to me. The second was nicer but didn't clean up my nails after painting them and had to have someone else come and do the design.... Which looks okay... Incredibly disappointed with my gel polish manicure. The staff was great and I was promptly helped and did not have to wait to get my service. My nails were not filed evenly, left in a very oval shape, were jagged and left at uneven lengths. The gel polish was also lifting on a couple of nails from the top coat not being applied all over the nail. I called to discuss my concerns with the manager who said that I could come back in to have then fixed, which I refused because I leave for vacation tomorrow. She also offered me a $15 voucher to use towards anything. I explained that the Polish was going to come off and I did not want to return. She then offered to give me a full $30 voucher for use towards my next gel manicure. I said no thank you, I'd rather not have more services there I'd prefer the money back to my credit card. She said they do not give refunds. My response was simply okay and she said have a good day and hung up the phone. Needless to say, I'm out $30 with a horrible manicure that I had to re-file my own nails and will need to have a new one when I get to my vacation destination. read more

This place is really clean. You get your own mani kit that stays in the shop, so you know those tools are not being reused. The pedi tools are sterilized and put in a pouch. Open fresh for each pedi and not reused. Bowls are scrubbed and sanitized after each use. The staff is nice and they do a great job. Lots of color choices. I would have given a better rating if they understood the concept of appointments. Every time I've come here I have to wait 10 to 30 minutes after my appointment time. I'll most likely keep going here as the other places in the area did a terrible job on my nails. read more

I went for a simple manicure, I walked into the shop, brought my own polish and was ignored for a couple of minutes. I was seated at the manicure table and the woman helping me never spoke, I was like she was annoyed she was just doing a manicure. My manicure was done and I went over to the dryer, I sat and sat at the dryer, no one came and checked on my nails, I announced I was dry and left my 10 dollars at the counter, I turned around and said thanks for letting me visit your nail salon. I tried this place because it's near my work and I had heard some good things about it. However, I went in to get my nails redone with the dip powder and after 2 day's 2 nails chipped. Then after 2 more days 2 more nails chipped. The dip powder is supposed to last 3 to 4 weeks. I expect it to last that long with how expensive it is. Plus the person who did my nails was more concerned with talking to others that work there and answering phone calls/texts than she was with doing her job. I will never go back to this place. I always come here for pedicures and love it. Great clean atmosphere, welcoming staff and my pedi always looks great. I decided to get my fingernails done for the first time in 3 years and I had never gotten them done at Q Nails before. I made an appointment in advance since it was a Saturday and had no preference in technician. I arrived 10 mins early and right away I felt almost out of place. The staff seemed rushed and it wasn't particularly busy. The technician I got seemed like she didn't want to be there and right away sat down and began working at neck breaking speed to put my acrylics on. She never spoke to me except asking what I wanted on my nails. She also made three of my fingers bleed from filing so hard. It's my fault for not speaking up, I thought bleeding was normal because it's been so long, but my fingers beg to differ the next day. She didn't apologize but kept filing over the bleeding skin. She also managed to answer and talk on her cell while doing my nails which seemed strange to me. Just make sure to look into who your nail tech will be when you visit here and speak up if something seems wrong. My nails did turn out very pretty tho and exactly how I wanted them. read more

I've been coming here for years. I recommend making an appointment because they are often busy. I have had amazing nail art done many times. I brought my niece and her bridesmaids here for their wedding mani-pedis and they arranged for all 5 of us to have our pampering done together. Everyone was happy with their results. This is the only nail salon I have ever been to that I have left happy every time! You get what you pay for and you get what you wait for! I am always comfortable there and my nails are always on point! They make you feel like part of the family! I have been to my fair share of nail salons and I will drive from New Hope to Anoka for my nails! They take pride in their work/business and they care about quality.
