Yelp suggested I review Qamaria Yemeni Coffee. I just reviewed Qdoba in Glen Burnie; so I'll get off my current series to review Qamaria. I just visited on Monday for the first time ever. I learned they just opened in Laurel in May or so. I was meeting up with a couple of friends. I was a bit late and was able to see what they ordered. I didn't want coffee this time since it was evening. One of them highly recommended the iced Matcha tea, which I said I'd go for that over my other friend's smoothie. The place is large and open late, which is unusual for a coffee shop around here. A lot of people were hanging out, plenty of places to wifi with various comfortable seating. They even have a prayer room, which is unique to put it mildly for a coffee shop. Cashier was friendly answering my questions mostly about the various flavor choices. I settled on the Matcha with mango flavoring. Wow, this is amongst the best iced Matcha tea I've had. I'll definitely try to make it back over here. Next time I'd want to try the banana matcha or the Caramel Macchiato.

Awesome place for a caffeine fix and sweet treat! The cafe is beautiful! There are plenty of tables available, including one with some games, and even a prayer room and meeting room. The menu is unique and there are also lots of delicious dessert options.

Finally made it to this coffee shop! I've heard only great things so I stopped in yesterday. It's located in a quiet and small shopping center off Van Dusen. Ample parking available. On a Sunday morning, it was busy but not a long wait. This place is perfect for working or meeting up with friends. This is the type of place suitable for a coffee date. I took my order to go but it's a place you would want to sit and enjoy. I got the brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso and it was really good. I've had this drink other places and didn't like it. Not here! It was perfect. They offer a range of drinks and pastries. The decor is amazing. The service was friendly. I can't wait to come back.

    Warm, beautiful space

Happened to be passing through and enjoy finding local coffee shops that differ from the large chains. Yemen is the birth place of coffee and whenever I find a shop claiming to roast the og, The aroma was fantastic and love that they have Turkish coffee on the menu. The pastries looked really good, although I didn't sample them this time. It is a little off the beaten path and appears to be in an area that will develop, but very much worth the trip.

Absolutely loved the experience and coffee I had here! The space is huge and gorgeous, the customer service is outstanding, and my chai tea was incredible! I'll definitely be back for another coffee and to try some of their food. Everything was made to order and the sweet treats all looked delicious. Super happy to have such a nice and unique coffee shop near by

Love love love this location and their amazing staff! My friend and I were craving a tasty dessert and drink to go with it, so I couldn't wait to come here! Upon entering you see an area to pick up your items, a little further down is the cash wrap. There's a screen located behind the counter where you can see their specials, as well as a large menu and display with desserts. We settled on the adeni rose chai, tres leches, and basbousa. Loved every item and I cannot wait to come back! Not only is the seating area spacious but they also have a prayer room (hello, inclusivity)! They have meeting rooms available for rent as well ($10 an hour) and a spacious seating area for family and friends. BTW, the area is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely better than Starbucks, and they also have their own Qamaria merchandise! Would I recommend? 100%. There's ample parking too, which is always a bonus. Bring your friends and enjoy!

I think this place is just what this shopping center in Laurel needs! It's a beautiful restaurant with really great drink options. I went on the day of their grand opening so I waited in line for about 45 mins which felt less than that because they gave us free samples of their honeycomb cake and coffee in the line. They have a lot of staff behind the counter so they are pretty efficient! They were out of the crème brûlée latte but I'll have to be back for it. So instead I got the Adeni chai latte and that was really well done and nicely spiced. We grabbed a few pastries and I regret not buying a full slice of the honeycomb cake because it was decently moist and sweet. We got the biscoff tres leches (which was pretty good, just less dense than I was expecting), the San Sebastián cheese cake, the meat manoush, and spinach pie. The spinach pie was not my favorite because it was tart inside and just spinach, rather than a cheesy spinach sort of thing. The meat manoush made up for it but could've been bigger. All in all, I'd definitely come back for the drinks and for a nice place to chat with friends.

The space is beautiful and spacious, the staff are nice, and I liked what I tried. I waited in line for about 10 minutes before reaching the register (this was to be expected as it was only their second day open and this spot already went viral). When I got to the front, the cashier told me they needed a 5 minute break (I assume to give the baristas a breather on orders/to catch up) and I didn't mind this. The manager spoke with me for a few minutes while I waited and even showed me the meeting room. It's $10 an hour to rent and $5 for a half hour. Chicken croissant was good but like your typical deli sandwich but the banana peppers were a unique touch. I liked the honeycomb bread a lot. I think that may be my go to pastry when visiting there. They accidentally made my matcha hot at first but quickly made another one iced and they made it just how I like it, so it was perfect. I fear this place will see me often.

I've tried their Qamaria Iced Caramel Macchiato and their Kouign Amann croissant! I especially enjoyed the caramel macchiato and the interior decor because the coffee is nicely sweet and comes with double espresso; the interior is filled with warm colors, and stylish ornaments. The space is medium sized and clean. Customer service is good. Parking is easy. Qamaria walks a fine line between 5 and 4 stars. Because I had such a pleasant, smooth dine-in experience, I will give them 5 stars and look forward to more 5s on future visits. Overall, I'd recommend!

Lovely atmosphere and delicious drinks! We stopped here on the way to New Jersey from Maryland and it was a great pick me up for the drive! We tried to date latte and qamaria latte. Both were creamy and delicious! The date latte was just sweet enough and mixed with espresso was a perfect balance. We also got the cinnamon bun which they heated up for us. It was kind of a croissant texture and it was so yummy! A little pricey but worth it for the experience if you are dining in!

Amazing. This shop is gorgeous. I loved the busyness of it all. Groups hanging out talking, friends catching up over a cup of coffee, employees on their laptops, teenagers listening to their headphones......it made me feel cozy and comfortable. They have a wide selection of coffees, teas and refreshers. Pastries, Cakes and muffins. Beautifully decorated and bright. The staff were all happy with smiles on their faces. You could tell that they really enjoy their jobs. Jose was amazing with the coffee art......flowers, animals and a specially made latte with my name and music notes on it. How exciting! I love this place. Enjoy!

La Espiga De Oro translates in English to Spike Of Gold…read more Whilst this immediately makes me think of the Golden Spike that connected the transcontinental railroad in the middle of the nation, and was immediately stolen by thieves (probably seconds after the ceremonial driving in); I'm assuming in Spanish that this might be a phrase similar to "Struck Gold", but to be honest, I'm not really sure. If it is similar to "Striking Gold", I would definitely say that this Bakery is very aptly named. It's your typical Latin bakery with fist-sized and larger pastries in large glass shelving units with glass doors on the front that are self-serve. You take a large plastic Mens size shoe box and a set of tongs and just go to town. And you really go to town cause everything is like 55-85 cents. It's stupid cheap. They also have hot foods. My goal right now is to make back to try the hot food bar, but we did decide to try one of the tamales while we were there. First of all, it's the largest tamale I've ever had. It's about the size of a small burrito. It also happens to be one of the most delicious tamales I've ever eaten. 2 large chunks of fork tender pork are hiding beneath the mass of impeccably seasoned masa along with some veg and sauce. I get this and a plastic box of assorted pastries. The pan de queso is delicious. It is the most soft and supple pan de queso I've had, it almost completely falls apart as soon as you take a bite. The cheese flavor is very apparent, and it is balanced. I also try a pineapple layered pastry that is quite delicious, and a soft buttery bread with cheese on the bottom as well. It is REALLY good. I've truly never had Latin pastries that were this good. I haven't had MANY Latin pastries, but these were surely the best out of the few I've had. Can't wait to come back and try more.

I said you have them on your menu, and I pointed them out on the electronic menu board above the register where there's a sign that says "Order here". The cashier couldn't care less. I got the chicken Nachos. The nachos had a white crumbly chees on top, which I assumed to be Cotija cheese, which I am very familiar with. Nope. It was the definitely the dry almost sawdust Kraft pregrated Parmesan "cheese". I thought the chicken would be grilled Pollo. It wasn't. The chicken had the texture of reconstituted freeze dried scrambled eggs. I own a food freeze dryer and I am very familiar with that texture. The yellow cheese sauce was definitely from a can. Skip this place. It's terrible
