Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and--most importantly--excellent coffee. Their cold brew is on another level and easily outshines other coffee shops. Highly recommend.

Good coffee! Came here while heading to Eggbred for food. I parked along ocean blvd, street parking. Parking might be difficult to find. I ordered the iced mocha ($6.25) and coffee eclair ($5.45). I thought it was pretty good, nice local coffee shop. They have lots of pastries but they're a bit pricey. Interior has nice modern wooden look. The couch was hard and doesn't have much cushion. I would like to see a trash can by the door along Ocean Blvd. I had to walk to the other side of the coffee shop to throw my straw wrapper. Would definitely come back.

I will start this review by making the obvious comparison: this place feels like a fancy Italian Starbucks. When I say fancy, think more comfortable living room, of a middle-class person, please do not think fancy like Pavarotti's living room which I assume has a baby grand and couches made with Italian leather, the same kind use for a Lambo. This place just gives a crumb of vibes of the Amalfi coast gone business casual, which is enough because other chain coffee houses do not help one travel to the boot shape country of Europe. I entered to grab a coffee at a nearby business, where I was getting a breakfast sandwich, the joint did not have coffee that was special, just black to be enhanced with Splenda and half-half, and I get that enough on normal weekdays. I was helped by Isabella, a sweet person, who was kind enough to invite me back again, after she learned that it was my first time. This gesture seems small but in reality it is hospitality in a phrase, which reminds me of a Japanese proverb: A kind word can warm three winter months. I got a regular latte, and Isabella listed the various syrups available. She went down the line deep, I think I remember that are common like vanilla and caramel and others that seemed more original to a coffee chain, like pistachio, and others felt tropical like mango. The coffee distinguished itself enough to be remembered as delicious but not well enough for me to know that I had gulped pistachio instead of slurped it, as when I have pistachio ice cream, or munched as I have when I have pistachio nuts, straight out of the shell. But still it was grand coffee, again better than one can get at other similar coffee houses, but, truth be told, I have had coffee from other chains that was steadfast in its roasted glory, which I will not name out of respect for this exxperience, but, the extra x in the word experience is a hint. :-) What was wonderful about this house, again, was the elevated comfort that this place offered. The wood wave wall, which I and other Yelpers have captured, felt more artistic than a design choice. I do not want to over hype this place, but I feel like I have seen something similar- to these wood waves- at an LA museum, perhaps the Broad, or the Moca. And atop these waves was the phrase- empowering the creator. I never wanted to write a screenplay or the next summer beach book but the message made me feel like this place can help me do just that--- someone give me a brush and a color palette I think I want to paint sunflowers on a vase! The couches seemed plump and they made me want to be a cat--- a feline with the famed ability to stretch and rest, without worry or woe in its mice-filled head. The selections of baked goods, seemed sophisticated. For example, they offered French Macarons, Dulce de Leche Cheesecake, Tiramsu, Chocolate Ganache Cake and other items that all seemed special, and like a treat that elevates a typical day to one that I can claim to be special. I can imagine, that when I was younger, less informed, more broke, more open to wonder, I would have plastered my face into the display and spend minutes trying two decide the two pastries that will allow myself to feel Parisian and decadent. This place had a lot of small touches that were stylistic choices to make this place a stroll for the eyes, which is great because it gives one something to do as they wait for their food. I completely forgotten that Reese Whitherspoon had a book club, but this place spotlighted one of her recent pics--- I accidentally deleted the book, but the place reminded me that not only Oprah or Rory had books to recommend to the caffeinated masses. I also liked the gray-green pumpkin. Another touch to remind us all that this place was fresh in its take on what a coffee house should be, and that take was fancy can be accessible to the average creator! of art, in its many forms.

One of my fave LBC coffee shops. Great location, friendly service literally always every time. they recently made me the perfect chai latte I've never had a better one and I've been drinking them for 20 years, it was the perfect amount of spice & sweet.

A palatial coffee haven. Ceilings within a sniff of the clouds themselves. Palatable decor aesthetic devoid of painful puns, godawful shiplap, or calculated kitsch. There are so many places to sit here. I almost felt rude only having the one set of glutes to park. Seating problems haunt coffee shops, but not Qargo. They understand chairs here. The staff is absolutely on their coffee game. Julia made a point to ask me what type of milk I wanted in my mocha for health reasons, etc. She conducted herself like a legitimate bean roasting queen. I do not know what that last sentence means, but she makes a point to do her job well. I think that is why so many busy professionals drop by this venue to have coffee & read email. Oh yes, the mocha tasted like milk & coffee & chocolate mixed together.

Never actually got the $7.40 drink i ordered. Firstly, no vegan brekky options? NONE? no oatmeal? no fruit bowl? its 2025 and it's the easiest thing in the world to provide at last one vegan-friendly option when you have 12 regular options, not counting the pastries. they also upcharged me for oatmilk without disclosing the upcharge verbally or on their menu. I only realized it because I asked for a receipt after noticing the total was higher than expected. also, let it be known that i ordered at 9:48, it's currently 10:03 and i don't have my drink yet. I unfortunately need to head out to see my partner cross the marathon finish line, it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to make ya girl a smoothie. literally could not have been a worse experience :(

I recently have been so addicted to this place! I always get the vanilla iced latte (3 pumps of vanilla) add cinnamon. I love coffee that wakes me up and taste good! And not to mention the customer service is always great! Very friendly and welcoming!

I walked here one weekday afternoon after visiting a friend who lives a couple blocks away. If you don't live or work nearby or aren't enjoying the beach across the street...good luck finding parking; it looks to be near impossible. The interior is modern and visually stimulating. There's a good amount of seating inside and a small patio outside. I purchased an iced vanilla latte and a warmed chocolate croissant. They offer several boba teas, one of which my friend wanted, but was told they were out of boba! So she ended up getting a plain iced tea which she didn't care for. We sat out on the patio to chat over our drinks. The vanilla latte was good; above average but nothing spectacular. The croissant was small but great; fresh with plenty of chocolate inside. Better than Starbucks. But honestly most places are.

Toasted Marshmallow latte & turkey bacon cheddar sandwich

This place is honestly one of the best spots to come to. The barista here is one of the most helpful and attentive people and he definitely knows how to make the best coffee. Amazing customer service :)

Humongous "small" latte and a flat white

If you want a latte that actually tasted like coffee, order a flat white, not a "small" latte which is 16 oz!!!

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

I had difficulty cutting through the crust with a knife. There is a lot of cayenne in their hollandaise sauce, not my favorite version. The thick slice of tomato was the highlight. Side of bacon $6 for two measly pieces - overcooked and too crunchy. I could tell the bacon would have been good if it was more on the meaty/chewy side. This came with a potato pancake which was like mashed potatoes mixed with cheese and then fried. Service was okay, I think because it was pretty busy. Lastly, our table was very wobbly and we had to fix it with sugar packets otherwise our drinks would have toppled.

It's right in Belmont and one neighborhood away from the water. Great date place and bar too. 2026 update: This breaks my heart. The menu has changed, the chef has definitely changed and service has unfortunately gone down. First off they cut a good portion of the menu and the physical design is not the easiest to read. (that's not really a problem tbh but it's something to note) What is the problem are the following: Ordering food for 3 took 20 minutes for servers to come, get food, and water + drinks we ordered. food took almost 45 minutes to arrive at the table. I get the kitchen makes a lot of stuff but this is crazy. at this point we were here for over an hour without eating. Not only were the orders wrong but also food portions were noticeably smaller. Credit due here, they fixed that (ofc which takes an extra time). Final straw here: To get someone's attention, get the bill, then for them to come get the bill, pay, and give us our cards back took: TWENTY MINUTES. Just to pay. tldr: food prices went up, staff not attentive, food still decent but different chef. Food is noticeably saltier. Training can be a little hectic some times when you're in the service industry and sometimes it can slow service down. Our server Ben was on it. We had the grilled artichoke, chicken piccata, and the cioppino. All very very delightful. During our dining experience I needed to use the restroom. The smell in their bathroom was amazing. Probably one of the best smelling restrooms I had ever. When I was leaving, I politely ask the hostess if she knew what the name of the smell was bc it was so awesome. She wasn't telling me the exact name. She essentially told me the essence. While in the middle of her talking, a female manager aggressively told us that they were not aloud to tell patrons the scent. Hey, I get it, but as a person who was a manager for one of the highest ranking upscale casual dining restaurants, who has worked in 5 star resorts, knowing how to provide kindness to both guests and staff, this manager did not present those skills. This manager was quite frankly disrespectful not only to her staff, but to me. There is a way to handle situations without embarrassing your staff member and making them feel small and showcasing your flex of power to a diner who was about to drop hundreds for a dinner in our volatile economy. This manager did NOT handle this appropriately. Like i said, she was rude, extremely aggressive to respond, and not once smiled and said, "I'm so glad you love it. It's our secret to get you to come back." She did try to say it was a secret, but seriously... with the way she treated her staff.... I think she better focus on hospitality rather than the scent in the bathroom. After this interaction, I actually watched and observed the manager during the remaining time of our dinner. I wanted to see how she interacted with her staff. I wanted to see if she knew how to manage without flexing on her staff bc obviously she doesn't know that words matter and what you say and how you say it can make or break your staff's entire night which can reflect on how they treat their guests. I get this is lengthy over a restroom scent, but as a person who thrives on seeing the beauty in how a management team can make a huge impact on the success of a company, if she's openly rude and aggressive to me and her hostess, how is she with the rest of the staff and guests? Just a little food for thought. I will say, that interaction totally changed my view for the remaining time of our dinner. I truly hope that the female manager who was working last night June 1 reads this and changes the way she handles situations. From what I saw and experienced, she needs to take a step back and regroup. She needs to be retrained on how to treat her staff, how to smile with kindness, and how to kindly make a joke about the scent kindly with laughter rather than an attack on her staff. To the hostess: I'm sorry you had to be treated that way. You were incredibly kind from upon greeting us even to the very end. You're awesome. I'll return back, but I do hope next time, the manager from last night is on a better wave length as the people who help create her position. There are a lot of great managers out there willing to take that place.
