Chubbys happens be one of my first memories of eating a cheesesteak as a kid. Not much has changed...for the better. ENVIRONMENT There is another cheesesteak establishment within walking distance of Chubbys which consistently has lengthy lines. Chubbys differs in this regard and has a lengthy menu. Upon entering, you'll find counter seating and booths and in my 30+ years of visiting I've never struggled to find a place to sit. You'll encounter the classic "Philly welcome" upon arrival. This consists of a healthy dose of skepticism followed by them knowing your mother's name within a few moments of conversing. FOOD I may be in the minority of individuals but I prefer a chicken cheesesteak to a beef cheesesteak. In this task, Chubbys sits near the top of my favorites. The bread is a smidge soggy but the chicken is well seasoned and leaves nothing to be desired.
