Didn't used to be a qdoba fan bc I was a chipotle regular but wow they have really stepped their food game up! Tried this location last week and it was delicious. The queso Diablo is addictingly good. Our burritos were great and they were generous with the fillings! Reasons they didn't hit the 5 star mark is 1) location... this plaza is the worst plaza to park in 2) staff wasn't overly friendly and 3) one of our bowls and our salsa was super messy and leaking everywhere--pretty trivial issues. The amount of food you get for under $10 is also a big advantage. Overall, highly recommend!

I visited Qdoba for the first time today and I am so glad that I did. I placed a mobile order and it was ready and waiting for me by the pickup time. Inside, it was clean and the employees were friendly. The food was awesome. I got a burrito and it was huge- so much so that I'll have a second meal out of it. Chips were fresh and flavorful. I will definitely be back!

I was very saddened to see this Qdoba ranked so low on Yelp, so I decided to try to boost its average. We frequent this particular Qdoba in the University area about once a week and have had nothing but fantastic experiences, quality service, and fabulous tasting food! In fact, I've mentioned during lunch how we see the same people working week after week and how they've got it together. I've been to many other Qdoba (and other similar burrito restaurants) and have yet to find a staff that is more consistent in their quality service and delivery of fresh, tasty food. Now, onto Qdoba's food. I think I've tried practically every single item on the menu by now. Their chicken choices definitely top my list over their steak (sometimes tough), beef (sometimes greasy), and pork (usually dry). The chicken, in the words of Goldilocks, is "just right." Every time. The regular chicken burrito (with extra hot salsa, please!) is always a winner. However, when I'm in the mood for something with a little more pizzazz, I go with the pesto chicken burrito or formerly, the retired mole chicken burrito. And when I'm in the mood for something naughty, I go with the queso chicken burrito. The Naked Burritos (without the tortilla, for you low-carbers) are good...but I leave still feeling hungry. Since we go to Qdoba regularly, we've signed up for the Qdoba Card, earn points each time we visit, and have gotten a handful of free burritos over the past few years. It's a great rewards program for something we already enjoy!

I'm giving three stars because of the African American guy with dreads who made the experience a bit better. He greeted us when we came in and made our food to our expectations. His co worker not so much. He was short and I think he was Hispanic or white. He had an attitude the whole time. It looked like he didn't want be at work. He went ahead and gave ya the total and assumed we didn't want beverages. When we asked to add beverages he seemed like it bothered him for adding stuff after giving the total. Also, as soon as we came we noticed the mess they had back there. There was tomatoes and peppers mixed together sitting on the table. The floor was dirty and the dining areas was dirty. Just small improvements. Better attitude and cleans store is all and it will be a 5 star.

For my introduction to this place was rushed and inconsiderate. Guess my high expectations was crushed by the wrong server. Guess I'll stick to what I know across the street where they have sofritas and provide consistent portions. #stillhungry

Like Chad says: "Qdoba is something like a Mexican "Subway"". Good staff and the food is usually fresh off the grill.

Good food. I like sitting outside since it's completely covered, allowing wind to come through and keep you cool in these hot months.

With its subdued lighting, faded brick walls and tightly packed tables, it's the perfect spot to escape with a bottle of tequila on a rainy Friday night. But if your circumstances aren't quite so desperate, Que Onda is also a great destination for an intimate date night or an evening with friends. On a recent visit, my wife and I started with a bowl of chips and queso, accompanied by a pair of oversized house margaritas. When I complained to our server about my drink's disappointing lack of kick, he took it off the bill and recommended the far superior Patron Cadillac Margarita, which improved my mood in a hurry. For dinner, I dove into a delicious taco combo platter of steak, carnitas and baja fish, while my wive enjoyed a tasty Taco Salad. Service was outstanding throughout our meal, the prices were reasonable, and the ambiance superb. Well worth a visit if you're looking for solid Mexican food and margaritas in Charlotte.

The service was OK though it seemed most people did not speak English, which is fine. It just made it kind of harder to communicate. That said the food was decent but the reason why I gave two stars was because I feel very misled on pricing. The menu showed Que Siberia tacos three for $12. Steak/Asada tacos for three dollars which brings my total to 15+ the two drinks. I thought she said it was $20.80 so I paid it with my card and gave her five dollars cash for a tip. I get to the car just to double check the transaction and she charged me 3499 on my card and took the cash. I went back inside to confront her about this advising. She completely overcharged me, and she only offered to give my six dollars tip back to me. I am now going to dispute the transaction with my bank because I was unable to resolve this issue. That's sad.

I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.
