I live in Hawaii now. My parents live in Michigan. This specific Qdoba is my absolute favorite. Every time I visit my parents, I specifically drive 30 miles to this particular Qdoba. My parents have one two miles away. But this 28th st Qdoba is the best I've ever been to. I will drive 30 miles out of the way to go to this Qdoba multiple times when I visit. Every time I go in, the employees are so welcoming and friendly. The inside is always clean and employees are always doing anything they can to make it a memorable experience for each person that comes in. Today I met Freida, and she was an absolute gem. She helped me with my order, recommended another kind of salsa I might like. Every single time I go in to this Qdoba, I am blown away by the experience. Freida is an incredible manager and you could tell her team was excited to be at work. I will be visiting multiple more times to THIS Qdoba while I am in Michigan. Mahalo for the amazing quality of food, the cleanliness of the store and the welcoming atmosphere that is provided at every single visit at 28th st Qdoba. DO NOT GO HERE! Lady building my burrito bowl and pushy and gave me little to no food. When I asked for more rice cuz it was obviously not enough she a few more specks of rice on my bowl. 6pm on a Thursday and there is TWO employees in the entire restaurant. It took 11 minutes to reach the order table, then was told they were out of what I wanted. One employee was walking around wiping tortilla chips onto the floor in the kitchen while complaining the equipment didn't work. All bowl of lettuce was on the floor. Oh, and Apple Pay and Google Pay aren't being accepted. This is a common occurrence for this location. I've been taking my money down the road to Chipotle for the last 6-8 weeks, and was hopeful for a change today...but nope. It's clear to me that management is way under qualified, the franchisee doesn't care, and Qdoba won't fix it. Avoid this place. I normally love Qdoba but the food and service you receive here is not worth the money. I went around 6pm only to find out they were only accepting online orders, no walk ins. Very frustrating. I then have to create an account and order online. It takes about 15 minutes to get meager portions and an unappetizing bowl (approx 5 pieces of lettuce on my bowl, and brown guac). There is a reason why Qdoba has closed so many locations and it has little to do with their food. There food is better than Chipotle in my opinion but their simple business management skills are lacking. I went to this location when on business travel with a group of four others for lunch around noon on a weekday. When we got there they had were three workers and no one in line. When we got up to the front, the lady told us we have to wait to order as they have been slammed with doordash orders. I would have been ok if they made a few orders first but literally we waited 10 to 15 min before being taken care of. The line behind us all was out the door we waited so long. That is not even the worst part. By the time we ordered our burrito bowls all the mixed veggies and guacamole were gone. I politely asked if they could bring some out to my table once they were ready. They said yes but never brought them out. Friday at 2 pm ... not accepting credit cards, out of Guacamole, did not give me the free chips and queso because I wasn't logged in on the app (had to reset my password - ugh!!) and then once I got logged in, they would not credit me for the chips and queso. Oh, and they would not take our wire baskets back because they have too many, but told me I could drive up the Woodland Mall location and try there. Yeah, NO!!! Will not be back to this location. Just stopped by to order dinner at 6:30. They are out of white rice with non being cooked in back. A mobile order was waiting for Queso that was put on the stove when they realized they were out. The food prep area looks messy. I got the last of the chicken and again I did not see anyone preparing more. If they are open until 10pm they have some very poor management. Floor needs to be swept. No busy so someone could be doing it instead of talking behind the counter. read more

If you want meager portions slapped together by uninspired vapid minded teenagers, you're in luck! Where to begin... For starters, this Qdoba is suffering from the same affliction that makes all "fast casual" restaurants an annoying experience. You can walk inside with no one in front of you, approach the counter, and then wait ten minutes while online orders are filled first. Why?! There is a physical customer standing before you having to wait but priority is instead given to an online order that just came in (you can watch the receipts print while you wait...) that won't be picked up for another 10 minutes at least... way to go Qdoba. Make the person who is there NOW wait the longest. When it was finally time to fill our order, we had to beg the line crew to give us portions that are acceptable. We asked for more lettuce as we were only given a few pieces to begin with. The employee audibly groaned and added TWO EXTRA PIECES. It took her more effort to select the individual pieces than to scoop a fair amount. Wow. We also noticed that an employee cooking in back was not wearing a hair net (his hair was towering another foot up from his scalp through his visor and was in no other way restrained to tied up. I love Qdoba and I usually have good luck at this location. I haven't eaten much prepared food since the pandemic, but we thought we would give local businesses some business. I was excited to be eating Qdoba again, but I was disappointed when I looked at my food. The order with ingredients were taped onto the bowl from my online order. It was easy to see that half the items were missing. Seriously, half. No salsa, jalapeños, guac or pico. I called several times to ask if they were just out of ingredients. That would be understandable. However, nobody picked up after several tries. Understanding turned into acceptance and then anger. Here I am writing this review. It looks like I am not the only negative review for this location. It didn't have to be this way. We went there last night at 5pm. There were only 2 people in the lobby, so the earlier you go, the faster you go through! I ordered a kid's quesedilla with chicken, adult nachos, and 2 adult burritos for my family. (Sadly, nothing is guaranteed gluten free, so there is nothing for me here). Customer service was friendly and eager to please. They messed up in which items I wanted on which burritos twice, but my kids were making demands too, so the mistakes were honest- no harm done. I ordered the chips side with the kids meal, and chips came with my son's nachos, but we only walked away with one bag of chips....if it was full, it would not have been a problem, but there were only 16 chips total in the bag. (Yes, yes...we counted because my kids are persnickety...but 16 chips isn't as many as it sounds.) We got this order for taken out and didn't discover this until we got home. In order for both kids to have their fill, we had to supplement with our own chips. No bueno. But all in all, great experience overall everytime we've been here. We will be back, but we'll be a tad more mindful of how many chips we're given. (Also, sign up for the card! After so many purchases, you get a free entree! This time was our freebie!) read more

I have never seen such a trashed restaurant. There was spilled food everywhere on every surface. Cook tops where nasty. They were also out of queso and the employee said it would take too long to make more. The guacamole looked like it had been sitting out since yesterday. Two of the employees were apparently on break and made us wait while they made their own snack. We have never had this experience at any other Qdoba and certainly won't be back to this one. read more

I really want to give this 2 or 3 stars, but I won't because they have vegan meat from Impossible Foods here, which is fabulous. Unfortunately, the rest of the food doesn't really warrant a 4-star rating from me. They don't give as many veggies, beans, rice, guacamole, etc as Chipotle does. And the food doesn't seem higher quality either ... Chipotle advertises their meats as humanely raised and many of their veggies as non-gmo, so it seems as if Chipotle is higher quality as well. I would just go to Chipotle and pay extra for the guacamole. Your total bill will be lower and they give way more food. (But maybe thIs varies with what server you have?) If you're a person who just wants to try the new vegan Impossible Meat, I would just go to Burger King and get 2 Impossible Whoppers instead. If you want them vegan you can just ask for them without mayo and put your own vegenaise on them (I do this every time.) Tastes great with Diet Coke, Coke Zero, or classic Coke on the rocks. read more

If I could give this location a negative star review, I would. Absolutely am so disappointed in my service and order. I made an ONLINE order coming back from vacation because the lobby was closed and was online only, choosing my likings, I picked up my order when it was ready. My boyfriend and I BOTH ordered CHIPS AND SALSA, paying for our OWN chips and salsa - DID NOT SELECT TO SHARE OR ASK TO SHARE THE BAG OF CHIPS WE HAVE BOTH ORDERED FOR OURSELVES - we get a ONE small bag of chips to share which was completely bullshit. Not what I paid for. I also asked for brown rice and both beans, received both rice and pinto beans. Absolutely so upset with my service. No wonder this location has 2.0 stars. I PAY for what I ORDER, I really expect to get it. Especially if you're looking at the online order ticket..... you're looking at it to read.... Read it over 3 times!!!! Cmon. Pissed.
