The apple juice was good, floors need cleaning & The middle aged spanish woman was rude to her coworkers. Reprimanding them in front of customers while she made my burnt food.

This place is off our list. We ordered through DoorDash and it was a complete disaster. First, when the food didn't arrive when promised, we called the restaurant. They said they hadn't started the order because they were out of the pork we ordered. They never called or messaged to get a substitute. Next, when DoorDash said the delivery person was near, we saw him wandering on our street, going door to door. Our house number is clearly displayed in two places at the front of our house. When we finally got the food, the Chicken Protein Bowl looked nothing like the menu picture. There were no black beans, extra chicken or guacamole. The fajita vegetables were hardly cooked. The chicken was heavily charred. Here are the pictures of what was advertised and what was delivered.

I'm only give two stars because the brownie was delicious! Everything else was such a let down! First off the like counter was dirty and everything looked kind of left out. My burrito was cold, tortilla was hard, chicken hard and the rice was so hard it was the worse part! Everything on the line was no better so I tried to open and eat it like as a bowl I ended up just throwing it out. When we came in the staff were complaining that as soon as they get the line down more people come in; shouldn't you be happy to be receiving business. It was not a great experience and I won't ever be back.

Our visit here tonight was disgrace, I'm not usually one to complain about stuff but there was just so much wrong here. First there was only 2 people working the front and the line was to the door. It felt like forever to get to the register and finally got to pay and sit. Then we find there are no napkins and there is a broken bottle of hot sauce right in front of the soda machine. At this point I wanted to just get the hell out of there. Almost every table was dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned all day. All that being said there's still more, the trash cans were overflowing with trash and people didn't know where to put there plates and trash. It was terrible compared to any you find in center city. It will probably be a long time before I hit this place up again for a burrito.

Ate the meat. Left the rice. It's soggy as day old corn flakes

Everything was clean and well kept, and the outdoor seating is a nice bonus, especially in good weather. Service - The staff were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Service was smooth and efficient, which was perfect since we were on a bit of a time crunch before our show. What We Ordered - Pork Tamale (Good, with flavorful filling) Al Pastor Taco (Easily our favorite, great flavor and well balanced) Chorizo Taco (Good) Grilled Chicken Taco (A bit on the dry side) Barbacoa Taco (Just okay, slightly dry) Lengua Taco (Very good, tender and flavorful) They also offer a nice perk of a free margarita with your meal, which was a pleasant surprise. Final Thoughts - Overall, a really solid spot with great service and a fun atmosphere. While a couple of items were slightly on the dry side, most of the food was very enjoyable. I would definitely come back for another visit.

And then came the food... We started with "nachos with everything." This was an extremely large plate of incredibly soggy nacho soup. Personally, I prefer melted cheese to queso sauce on my nachos, but I've had good nachos with queso. These nachos were swimming in a thin queso. It did not help that the chicken was also very, very wet. For the entree I ordered chiles rellenos. I was anticipating a nice cheese pull. Instead, when I cut into it it bled out the same darn thin queso. It was gross. I'd take Trader Joe's frozen version of this dish any day of the week. This was bad. Finally, I ordered a Long Island ice tea that was very very very strong but also very very very bad. Whether that's a pro or a con depends on your style.

We drove to Huntingdon Valley and among warehouses and storage complexes, we turned into Provecho. It has a warm atmosphere with Spanish music playing in the background. We ordered the Shrimp Fajitas and the Chicken and Steak Fajitas. The dishes come loaded with freshly grilled red and green bell peppers and onions. The rice is cooked perfectly with a mild seasoning, the guacamole is delicious and has great texture, and last but not least, the pico de gallo was flavor packed! We had all the necessary toppings for our fajitas. The Shrimps were tender and succulent, we rolled them up in the flour tortillas and had some great shrimp fajitas! The Steak and Chicken were cut into thin strips, but were tender and tasty - we proceeded to wrap the slices into another flour tortilla and enjoyed them as well. The only item we didn't eat were the beans - they were too watery with no flavor. It's a small restaurant, but was busy on a Saturday night and filled up fast; we noticed a great deal of people picking up orders. We agreed we had found another destination that serves good Mexican food; we'll be back.

If the demise of the restaurant scene in 2020 is like a full-length novel, then this review of this taco food truck is more of a wonderful novella to be watched each afternoon like a story one lives to immerse themselves in -- concentrated and poignant, full of the flavors of what one would expect from authenticity. Sitting adjacent to an Auto Zone parking lot in what may be considered not the fanciest of areas, exists what may be one of the best taco trucks in Philly. The most successful operations boil a specific type of cuisine down to a handful of signature, crowd-pleasing dishes. The taco, burrito and torta. That's what they offer. If I hadn't stood by the kitchen waiting to find our server, and if at least two other employees hadn't asked whether I needed help, we still might not have our food. I try to be careful about leaving poor reviews. It's not always fair because things happen. I've been to El Poquito many times because it's within walking distance, has decent food, and a fantastic atmosphere. About 95% of the time, however, the service is either bad or outright horrendous. This last visit (May 2026): Two of the four of us arrived promptly at 6:45 and ordered chips and salsa. We waited 15-20 minutes for the chips, which seems like a long time--even during the busiest part of the evening--for scooping some chips into a bowl and spooning out some salsa (verde style, and tasty). But seriously, that's a long wait for such a basic order. The other two members of our party arrived around 7:05, and we ordered our meals around 7:15. To be fair, our server was very nice and attentive. He stopped by a few times with the assurance that "the food will be right out." Want to guess what happened next? If your answer was "nothing," you'd be spot on. Around 7:55, I went inside to find our server. Again, he was very nice. I stood near the ordering computer between the bar and the kitchen. Two different employees asked if they could help. I explained how long we had been waiting. One of them--who I think was the manager--disappeared into the kitchen with a "let me go see what's going on." I waited for her to come back with an "it will be right out," but, like our food, she never made it back out of the kitchen. Another waiter (also very nice) found our server, who said, "You don't have your food yet?" He then looked over at the table of three very hungry people (including one 10-year-old) and responded, "Fuck, really?" My reply, somewhat under my breath, was, "Yeah, really." Blah, blah, blah... eventually the food arrived. The manager apologized and removed some drinks from the bill.

The place was PACKED wall to wall because of the holiday. The wait was about an hour, so we decided to order food to go instead. I ordered a strawberry mango margarita from the bar, and honestly, I've never had a margarita taste like a tequila sunrise before. It was thick and just not good. Jesse made it, and when I mentioned it didn't taste like a margarita, Chyna (not sure of the spelling) attempted to remake it. The second one was slightly better, but still not what I'd expect from a margarita at a Mexican restaurant. We ordered the 4 taco platter (about $21). You can only choose two of the same taco type. We tried the short rib, chicken, and pork tacos along with the street corn. The tacos were okay maybe a 5/10. They fell apart. The black beans and rice were actually good. The street corn, however, lacked flavor and didn't really resemble traditional street corn. Barely any cheese or seasoning. Even the lime served with the tacos was so dry we couldn't get juice out of it. Overall, maybe the kitchen was overwhelmed because of Cinco de Mayo, so the food just didn't have that extra care behind them. First impressions matter, and this one unfortunately missed the mark for us. On the positive side, the space is large inside, they have a nice patio/garden seating area outdoors, and reservations are available. We might go back and try taco Tuesday.
