This place is solidly ok. It's basically Mexican fast food. The times I've been, it's taken a bit longer than expected to get what I wanted, but the employees were friendly. I also think the quality is slightly better at Chipotle. That said, when I've gotten food here, it's not because I wanted a gourmet high-end experience, but because I wanted some cheap and easy quesadillas after a long day or before a long night. As expected, I enjoyed myself while eating it and hated myself after. I went there once and they gave me a free quesadilla because the register was broken, which was pretty awesome. I give this place 0 stars. I have been here several times for lunch. There is a serious issue with this game place and food handling. The Hispanic male manager handles the cash/card transactions and without gloves will pick up the lids and place them on the bowls without washing or sanitizing his hands thereby transferring any germs he has on his hands from handling nasty cash and credit cards. I have spoken to him several times concerning this issue and not to place my lid on my food and would have someone with gloves do it. Well today there was another man there, White male and not sure who he was but he told me I didn't have to eat there and he is right and I won't ever eat at this disgusting place again. If they don't feel it's important to respect that I don't want someone handling money and handling my food at the same time I can surely take my money and my health concerns to a more cleaner place who places their customers safety first. Today I saw a male cashier once again handle food after touching money without gloves or washing his hands. When my work colleague stepped in and informed the cashier that he should not be handling money and food simultaneously, their manager/supervisor interrupted her to inform her that "you don't have to come here and get food from us", thus brushing off her concerns. The manager/supervisor did not take my colleague's comments seriously and, instead of chastising the cashier for not wearing gloves, condescendingly scolded my colleague. Today, March 16, 2020, is not the first time we have seen the cashier proceed to handle food, then handle money and vice versa. My colleague has expressed her concerns with that cashier over his lack of wearing gloves when handling money and food and they have gone on deaf ears. Given the fact that we are in the middle of the 2020 COVID Pandemic, I would think that a restaurant would do its best to curtail food borne illnesses. Every trash can in the store was full, including the bathroom. Perhaps the A/C was malfunctioning because my wife and I couldn't stop sweating while eating. While I was ordering the toppings for my burrito, I felt rushed even though I knew exactly what I wanted. They assumed I only wanted two ingredients and no veggies. Don't know why. Our go to place for a snack before or after a movie at the E Street Cinema if we're not in the mood for a real dinner. (Since the entrance is on E Street right next to the E Street Cinema, I don't get why the address is 11th Street cuz that's not where it is!) It's always tasty and delicious and fresh tasting. I absolutely love Qdoba! And I'll take it any day over Chipotle. However, this location is terrible! The service is unbelievably bad. The unprofessional staff is usually too busy talking to each other, instead of paying attention to their customer's orders. Frequently I have to repeat myself, or wait until they are done talking so I can tell them what I want on my burrito. Then I get a major attitude for interrupting them. The food is also subpar compared to other Qdobas in the area. The last time I ate there the chicken on my nachos was cold and fatty. I keep giving this place a chance because it's right next door to the E. Street Cinema, but I think I'm done now. I'd rather drive an extra 15 miles and get good food from smiling faces than deal with the bitchy attitudes again. read more

Before yesterday (7/22/2014), I would have given Qdoba a 5 out of 5. I've always preferred Qdoba to Chipotle, however Qdoba has forever lost my business. I received terrible food poisoning last night and I believe it was because of their beans. My burrito order: White tortilla, black beans, white rice, mild salsa (tomato), corn salsa, and regular shredded cheese. I ate the burrito at 4pm on 7/22 and by 7pm I felt nauseated. I returned home and I was unable to eat anything else. Around 9pm, I had to go to the bathroom and didn't find the most pleasant sight. I reassured myself I just had an upset stomach. I decided that sleep would make it all better. Instead, I awoke at 1:30am to none other, but vomit. The rest of the night I continued to be sick up until 4am. Sorry for elaborating on my gruesome event, but I wish to express extreme caution to any customer that dines at this specific Qdoba. I am a 110% sure that I got food poisoning from my burrito at Qdoba and will only return to receive a reimbursement. Did any other fellow customers receive food poisoning on 7/22/2014 or around that date? read more

I like this place! It's across the street from my office building so it's convenient when I need to grab a take out for lunch. Service is quick so don't be turned off if you see a long line when you come in. I always order their chicken taco salad! One of the best I've tried in my opinion. I also like that Qdoba has a nutrition calculator on their website. I am a member of the gym across the street (Energy FItness) so I just show my gym ID and I get 50% off my total order :-). read more

This place is okay if you need burrito-style food and are in this neighborhood. The style, presentation, and feel is about as inelegant as can be. This is just the most minimal degree of improvement over an inner-city McDonald's in terms of quality of the dining experience and comfort level of the seating areas. The burritos are overstuffed and very difficult to eat. My recommendation is to go with tacos or quesadillas or the nachos items on the menu. read more

The Gambrills MD location has really crappy service and the food portions are child size, and I'm not a big eater. We have eaten at this location several times and we won't be back, its worse each time we go. They must make one heck of a profit because the portions are pretty tragic for the consumer. The staff treats you like some type of inconvenience. For the prices we pay, that's getting old and we're done. They manage to put 1/2 teas of queso in 3 tacos, it's an art that they must have practiced "how do we get as little ingredients as possible in a taco", including lettuce, yes folks, lettuce, you get about 2-3 shredded pieces. And the meat...ha, it's about 3 little pieces per taco. They look like they just wave the spoon over everything. The food here is okay except half of my taco shell was stale (how does that happen?) and my chicken was lukewarm. I wished they served beer like some of the other Qdobas do. So when i visited dc and saw this place i had to try it again as chipotle has taken over my taste buds but i have to say i was not disappointed and the burrito was hot and fresh with decent chicken. I enjoy the food at Qdoba, but when I came here today I was reminded of why I haven't been here in months and why I won't come back - the service is terrible! The app crashed when I was trying to scan my card and the cashier rang up my order wrong. It's not the first time I've had this problem at Qdoba, but it will be the last. This Qdoba was my best qdoba experience yet! The staff was super friendly and they always went the extra mile. When I asked for a foil to go, they gave me a foil and a bag. When I asked for a kids meal even if I am way outside the age limit, they happily said yes. I love kids meals since most restaurants in America serve way too much food. When a restaurant looks beyond the amount of money they would make on a kids meal vs. regular meal and serves me a kids meal anyway, I always walk away satisified.
