Unfortunately didn't get as many food pictures as I wanted, but coming from Taiwan and having delicious Din Tai Feng dumplings this place was incredible. Loved the food the service, and the space. They definitely catered to us having 2 kids under two and didn't make us feel rushed, and gave us the perfect table for a great dining and family experience. Highly recommend !

So glad to have this option if you can't make it to Chinatown! The ambiance is perfectly nice but nothing special. I don't eat red meat, so my opinions are skewed, but the Chicken Mushroom soup dumplings were my favorite! It's nice that they also have seafood and vegetarian options. They were a bit slow to take our order but our waitress was very friendly, pouring a bottle of wine into 6 smaller glasses instead of 4 regular. I definitely recommend adding yourself to the Yelp waitlist before arriving so you can be seated quickly.

Came here on a Thursday night around 5:30pm. Online it said there was only a 6:30 reservation available so we went anyway in the event the website was wrong, and it for sure was. There were 3 other people there, and it's a sizable restaurant. I came here with my child, and partner. They have a smaller menu, obviously mostly dumplings, but they also have skewers and some shredded potato salad. On that day they had gotten their liquor license so they had beer from Off Color brewing. The staff were attentive, kind, and fast. We got the special roe and pork dumplings (12 steamed), pork and cabbage dumplings (12 steamed), and lamb coriander dumplings (12 fried). You can choose between fried and steamed. We did not get an appetizer because we went wild with dumplings. They were very good, very doughy, an a different style of dumplings, although all the dumplings they had were the same style. Slight soupy inside, and yes throughout the dumpling dough almost sticky. Definitely worth trying and we will be back!

So good! Walked in and got seated right away without a wait. Service was really attentive and quick. The dumplings are so tasty and super fresh. I believe each order comes with 12 dumplings. A little bit pricey but very tasty!

We were actually at the new Wicker Park location within walking distance on Division. We tried to visit the Chinatown place when Laura was here. Now we know why we couldn't get in without reservations. Wow, Donna picked another winner. I got the steamed dumplings with pork and scallops and they were very good, especially when dipped in the chili sauce. Nicely balanced between the scallops and pork. She got the fried wagyu beef and coriander dumplings and they were even better. Tender and bursting with flavor. Dipped in the soy sauce and vinegar just upped the satisfaction. Service was attentive and cheerful, especially considering all the questions we had.

We visited QXY in Wicker Park on Saturday night. It wasn't too crowded and we were able to get a table for three immediately. The restaurant is clean, well kept, and nicely decorated. Service was fast. Our table ordered the halal lamb and dill (7/10), egg, shrimp, and leek (6/10), and tofu, cabbage, and mushroom (4/10) dumplings. As a vegetarian, I felt the dumplings were bland and not worth the price (similar pricing or even more expensive than meat options).

Had been wanting to try this for a while, no wait and was seated promptly and given water. Server was kind and fast. As I'm a vegetarian, I ordered the tomato egg dumplings and the tofu/cabbage/mushroom. They were pretty good, the tofu cabbage was a little bland for me and the tomato egg good but I'd rather just have tomato egg itself with noodles. The issue is the price. I understand the labor involved but why are my meatless dumplings more expensive than the meat? Just these two orders of dumplings, with tax and a 20% tip, came out to 60 dollars. Very overpriced, will not return for how much this is.

Came here for lunch while visiting Chicago. Someone mentioned that this place has good dumplings. We shared fried pork dumplings, shrimp, pork and leek dumplings and a cucumber salad. These small dumplings with very little stuffings had good flavors. However, they weren't the best I've ever had. The cucumber salad was crunch and fresh. They tasted really good with hot sauces.

First time…read morebringing the kids, first time introducing them to dim sum, and we came in hot on a busy day with multiple events happening in the area. MingHin was packed, loud, and a little chaotic. Worth it. Dim sum is an experience as much as a meal and MingHin delivers on both fronts. We ordered more than we could keep track of. Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously. Chinese broccoli to balance out the indulgence. Everything was solid, fresh, and exactly what you want from a dim sum spread. The room was packed and buzzing but the service kept up impressively. Servers were constantly circling, clearing empty plates and dishes without missing a beat. Clean and attentive even at full capacity, which is no small thing. Fair warning if you are bringing little ones: this environment is a lot. The noise, the crowd, the overwhelming parade of food arriving at the table. Our kids loved what they ate but the sensory experience was a bit much for them. This is a place better suited for a group of adventurous adults or older kids who thrive in high energy environments. Prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. A Chinatown institution for good reason. Just know what you are walking into and embrace it fully.

The portions are huge, so I highly recommend sharing dishes, especially if you're dining with a group. If you're not familiar with the menu, it can be a little challenging to know what to order, but the staff is usually helpful with recommendations. Some of my favorites are the dumplings, various rice dishes, chicken, lemongrass dishes, Mongolian beef, and other traditional offerings. This is a fantastic place for larger groups, and they're very accommodating when it comes to splitting checks. The food comes out quickly, the atmosphere is lively, and there's plenty of variety for everyone. If you're in the area near Joy Yee, MingHin is definitely worth a visit!

Be prepared to wait a little bit for a table, or share a big one with another party at peak times. Prices are reasonable and portions are pretty generous. ===== Kind of lost count of how many times I've been. Love getting the dim sum and noodle dishes here. Some favorites: beef cheong fun with egg, siu mai, Singapore noodle, xo rice noodle rolls, spare ribs, pork and century egg congee. All the food has been very solid. Inside is always bustling and can be a bit crowded. Service is pretty friendly as far as Chinatown goes, and very efficient. There's a guy who works there who I think is the manager or something, because he puts in 200x effort and is always hustling. When he's not around it feels like something is missing. Prices are very reasonable and we like ordering a lot here so that we have tasty leftovers for later. This place has quite a few big tables and is good for large groups. My only nits are that very occasionally a dish or teacup will have a dirty spot, and that the bubble tea here is kind of meh. I don't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was a little watery and lacking in flavor. It's also probably tough since they're boxed in by boba places now. Pro tip: When you first get your table, they'll ask you what kind of tea you want. If you ignore them or don't know how to answer, the default is green tea. Another one is to come at off-peak times. Not only will you get a table faster, but I think they tweak their portion sizes depending on how crowded it is. Definitely will be back! And I recommend you visit too

The staff was attentive throughout our meal, and the food came out quickly despite how busy the restaurant became.
