Wow! I was almost disappointed with Richmond's hot pot scene (coming from DC/MD) until I experienced this place. First off the interior is bright, fun, yet beautiful! The gold pots and silverware gave it a slightly upscale feel. I liked being able to get the raw foods yourself instead of waiting on it to be brought.. i was able to use the kbbq meats in my hot pot (like thick pieces of salmon, chunks of chicken and beef instead of thin slices. The sauce bar was VERY clean and had great options.. even had old bay seasoning! Only downside was service. I was seated next to a table of 2 and in front of another solo diner (i was solo too), but i noticed these tables were checked on regularly by my same waitress who repeatedly skipped my table- i only was assisted when i flagged her down.. as she made her rounds to the tables around me. There was only one obvious difference- i'll let u see my profile pic to guess. Ill try another day but if this is a theme, i will gladly stop patronizing.. shame.

My new favorite place to be! I've visited Richmond Short Pump many of times and knew about this place, but figured it's just another buffet place that I can try another time. And if the sign stated "Korean BBQ Buffet " I would have been hitting it a long time ago! We'll, today was the day. And boy I was so amazed how big and fun it was! When you walk in it's so colorful and the decore is very trendy! Very clean and modern. The service was spot on, plus the price was good. Most other Koren BBQ Buffet places I've been where priced higher. I was so excited to start the experience The back wall had so many choices to pick from just for the soup experience , and sauces as well. The Island stands have the raw meat you can chose from for grilling. Plus cooked side dishes, fruits, vegetables, noodles, spring rolls, french fries...etc... I did both experience, and am glad I did. Everything was so tasty and delicious! Wish I could have tried everything, cause there was so much to try! I will definitely be back!

I came here during a weekday dinner and got the ayce for $34 pp. They give you one hot broth of choice, a variety of meats, veggies, and sauce fixing to choose from. The KBBQ also had a good selection of beef, pork, and some other meats. My favorite for the bbq were the garlic pork and spicy pork but they did they a long time to cook and get crispy. The ribeye and short rib were pretty good as well. I was able to try both the tomyum and miso soup. The Tom yum was very savory and sour and my preferred soup for the hotpot. It was very hot temperature wise which cooled the toppings and meat fast but was hard to sip on as I burnt my mouth a tad(but worth it). Overall it's easily the best KBBQ in the Richmond area! Food(50%): 7.7 Staff/service(25%): 7.0 Value(25%): 7.0 Overall: 7.4/10

Qpot differentiates themselves from the other AYCE hot pot and kbbq spots by also offering a Chinese buffet. The restaurant is quite large and able to seat several different parties sizes. All of the food is self serve (besides the hot pot soup base), which I really like since you can control your own portion sizes and try a bit of everything. It can be overwhelming with so many food options so I'd recommend going with ample time to enjoy it. The table was kind of small when you're trying to manage the grill, pot, and various plates. Next time I'd probably focus on one thing at a time. For adults, lunch (M-F til 3:30pm) is $23 and dinner/weekends/holidays is $34. They do have a buffet only option during weekday lunch.

Came here for lunch before dinner hours. This is buffet type, hot pot and barbecue.. you can create your own sauces however you want. And you can also pick what goes into the pot. our waitress was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend. Kid friendly as well .

Spicy pork bulgogi, winter beef, Bachan beef

good atmosphere at the restaurant and good food. There is a good variety and the food has changed out quickly. Fast and efficient service.

Great first hot pot experience! I love being able to choose what you want and see all the options. Our waiter was so nice. We told him we'd never been to hot pot and he said he would be our teacher. So sweet. The place is also so comfortable and clean.

Short rib pork and a buncha other nice bbq things!

I've notice their fusion dishes are where they shine now. Whenever we do come, we're able to get a seat immediately. The people who work here are kind. Do know that service can feel a little slow at moments. The space itself is cute and the paintings on the wall are nice. The best thing I've tried here recently were what my friends ordered which were the bulgogi loaded fries and the bulgogi quesadilla. They have a fun time with fusion here! I got the shiitake mushroom savory udon noodles on my last visit and wished they had a bit more flavor. The time before that I got the japchae that was way too oily for me. My fiancé likes this spot a lot, so we do go a couple times a year.

They even have vegan kimchi and were so nice to bring out vegan gochujang because the one they have on the table is not vegan. We got the dolsat bibimbap and I always say the stone bowl is absolutely worth the extra money. The best part is always the crispy rice. Tteokbokki Having a vegan option without seafood was a great find. Most of the time the sauces have shellfish in them and I don't have the patience to make it from scratch. The noodles were cooked perfectly and they give you two vegetable dumplings on top. The sauce was nice and spicy without being too overwhelming. Kimchi pancakes: wish they had a bit more kimchi in them than the batter, but still good. Japchae with tofu, nice and almost beefy tasting. The black pepper was a nice punch. Korean fried tofu so nice and crispy with a really good sauce. I have been missing KFC since I turned vegan and good to know they have a good substitute for it. Service A good sized family run place where you can sit down or get take out. You order at the counter and they have a screen or you can be like us and take their paper menu to a table. A few four sized tables and some smaller two seaters. There was plenty of take out and delivery while we were seated. The person at the front was super helpful and patient as we tried to figure out what to order. They seemed busy and did not stop for too long the entire time. They came to bring us things and check in on us. Please use reusable cups for dining in and not styrofoam cups though! They have reusable utensils which is nice. Ambiance It's a fast casual place, but in a little strip mall in the county. They have K-pop playing and a stream of music videos so I didn't mind.

We stopped by for drinks and dinner and were immediately impressed by the setup. Located inside Väsen, the food operation has a cool food truck-style pickup window at the back of the brewery when your pager goes off (order at the bar). It's casual, efficient, and adds to the fun atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish we tried delivered huge flavor and was packed with personality. This is the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation and comment on how good it is. The bar service was equally impressive. We placed our order through the bartender, and despite it being a Tuesday evening, there was plenty of staff on hand. Multiple team members checked on us throughout our visit, and every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and genuine. What really stood out was the sense of community. Although it's a relatively new addition to the Forest Hill area, it's already clear that locals have embraced it. They even have branded merchandise and cycling gloves for sale, and during our visit we watched several cyclists roll up, hop off their road bikes, and come inside still wearing their cycling gear. It felt like a true neighborhood gathering spot. Places like this give a neighborhood character, and Kobop Korean feels like something special. I really wanted to try the kimchi fried rice, but that comes in a pretty big serving and they didn't have that as a side option. So I ordered white rice. The waiter said he's gonna ask if I can get a side of kimchi because that's also not an option as a side order. It's a no go for a side of kimchi. They said it's a different kind of kimchi they use for the rice dishes. Oh well, maybe I can suggest that be an option in the future. Someone told me that this place was better than Bonchon so I'm gonna compare the two. It's definitely a friendly, family atmosphere. Plenty of options on the menu. Outside dining as well as inside. Appears to be very clean. Rice - mushy not how I like it. it has a hint of something it's not regular white rice. But it's also not Jasmine because I like Jasmine rice. Interesting. I definitely expected better rice. Not rice pudding. I didn't know the wings came with French fries but they were bland. Not even any salt. Chicken- they only gave me 2 flats and 6 little drumsticks. Ok, it's a little spicy which was also unexpected. I really don't care for them at all. The waiter was nice and checked on me a few times. I wasn't offered any ranch or blue cheese or any other kind of dip for that matter. I asked if they had buttermilk ranch, they did not, just regular ranch. No offering of wetnaps either. I had to pour some water on a napkin to wipe my hands. Since I said I'm comparing, I'm gonna have to give it to Bonchon for the better wings, the better taste of the soy garlic, and the rice. Sorry bb.q I'm disappointed.
