Every time we go to Lotte Market i got to stop here for some delicious korean food!! Workers are nice and friendly! Their food never disappoints!!

    Spicy Squid

We've eaten here 3 times. Love the soondubu and jjampong. If only they would add mackerel to the menu

    Spicy tofu with beef soup

Went to visit this place for the first time today and they were wonderful. Service was awesome, food came out at a reasonable time. Spicy tofu is always my go-to when visiting korean restaurants, and I think this is the best spot for this dish. They were so generous with the tofu serving and there's no additional charge to add beef (not sure about the seafood). It was totally worth driving from 757!

The wings were advertised as double fried so I expected it to be more like a Bon Chon friend chicken wing, but it did not taste battered enough in my opinion. The flavor was still great and they were fresh. I was excited to try the Angry Squid, but the portion was a bit disappointing. The dish was full of flavor; however, it came with two pieces of shrimp and a handful of squid rings. Bulgogi ribeye bibimbap 4/5 - a bit on the saltier side but still had great flavor. I was happy with how fresh everything came out and the ambiance inside was nice. The server was attentive and the food came out quick. Would love to come back for their happy hour that includes 1.50 soju shots and $1 per dumplings (offered M-F 4-7p)

Probably wouldn't go back unless I was craving Korean and ran out of new places to try. Although we read they have a decent happy hour ( $1 dumplings ) so I'd definitely roll for that. ---- Food ---- House Bowl served in a clay pot filled with white rice, house-made kimchi, soybean sprouts, carrots, cucumber, and pickled onions. We got ours with bulgogi ribeye. The flavor was good but wish it came with an egg ( $2.50 extra ). ( 3/5 ) Angry Squid - Squid, shrimp, carrots, cabbage, green onions tossed in our sweet & spicy gochujang mix, served with rice. The portion was really small with only about 8 squid rings and 2 shrimp. The flavor was really good with decent spice. ( 4/5 ) Korean Chicken Wings Honey Gochu - These definitely weren't your traditional Korean chicken wings. The menu read they should be twice fried but they didn't end up having a full coat of batter. Having said that...they were still fine ( 3/5 ). ---- Service ---- Essentially one server also acting as hostess and bartender. She did a great job. Never waited for anything and was nice. ---- Ambiance ---- Quiet and only about 70% full. Well decorated, nice warm lighting.

The bar was spacious with cool decor, it was pretty quiet in there when we went around 4:30. I have never been to a hot pot place before, so it was very overwhelming, burners are right Infront of you and a grill. The waitress was not very good at explaining everything and we felt rushed. There are so many options of broth, sauce, and meats to choose from. We tried a lot of the meats, steak, prime rib, short ribs, chicken, spicy beef, scallops, shrimp and spam. The meat was flavored to perfection. We then ordered a bunch of vegetables that we wanted to throw on the grill. When she brought it out she dumped it in the broth, when I was going to grill it all. I was able to retrieve it and put it on the grill. The veggies were fresh and tasted great. The sauce bar and other sides at the buffet table were tasty as well. The only thing I will say, is there is a two hour time limit, but around the one hour, she brought us the check and stopped refilling our drinks. (we got the spicy meats and sauces) so I was drinking a lot of water. I can only imagine 6 people only having 2 hours and one grill to use, how they would feel rushed. The experience was just okay, but the food was the star of the show. If you have no idea what you are getting into like me, I would read up about it and get more familiar with everything since the waitress was not very helpful.

The waitstaff were attentive and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The hot pot offerings, including meat, seafood, and vegetables, featured a well-curated and diverse selection. We should've taken it out of the broth earlier (our mistake), but when we asked to have it replaced with new broth, they said they "weren't allowed to". So we were left with bitter soup the whole time. 2) we were told to grill on the parchment paper since it helps staff "clean them easier", then the paper burnt and the charred bits got onto the meat and making the meat inedible. 3) we got there around prime dinner time, hours before closing. I perused the hot bar around 7 times the entire time and not once did any of the hot items get replaced or refilled. Felt like I didn't get any of my money's worth from the buffet stuff. The other kbbq/hot pot stuff followed a similar pattern in not being refilled often. 4) we were sitting under an air vent that kept dripping condensation on us the entire time Aside from these complaints, the selection is pretty limited compared to hot pot 757, and the quality definitely was on the lower side given how everything has been sitting there for some time. I usually never write reviews but this was too blatant to just ignore. I hope for their sake that we came at a bad time. Definitely won't be coming back.

We stopped by for drinks and dinner and were immediately impressed by the setup. Located inside Väsen, the food operation has a cool food truck-style pickup window at the back of the brewery when your pager goes off (order at the bar). It's casual, efficient, and adds to the fun atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish we tried delivered huge flavor and was packed with personality. This is the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation and comment on how good it is. The bar service was equally impressive. We placed our order through the bartender, and despite it being a Tuesday evening, there was plenty of staff on hand. Multiple team members checked on us throughout our visit, and every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and genuine. What really stood out was the sense of community. Although it's a relatively new addition to the Forest Hill area, it's already clear that locals have embraced it. They even have branded merchandise and cycling gloves for sale, and during our visit we watched several cyclists roll up, hop off their road bikes, and come inside still wearing their cycling gear. It felt like a true neighborhood gathering spot. Places like this give a neighborhood character, and Kobop Korean feels like something special. Outstanding food, great service, a fun atmosphere, and strong local roots. We'll absolutely be back.

Vibes - our waitress was kind and quick but this restaurant isn't the place to come if you value aesthetics. Food - we were a bit disappointed but I think we were just under the wrong impression about what the food would be like. There are A LOT of sauces to choose from and it's difficult to know what they'll taste like. We spent 30+ on 12 wings so definitely pricey. I really wanted to try the kimchi fried rice, but that comes in a pretty big serving and they didn't have that as a side option. So I ordered white rice. The waiter said he's gonna ask if I can get a side of kimchi because that's also not an option as a side order. It's a no go for a side of kimchi. They said it's a different kind of kimchi they use for the rice dishes. Oh well, maybe I can suggest that be an option in the future. Someone told me that this place was better than Bonchon so I'm gonna compare the two. It's definitely a friendly, family atmosphere. Plenty of options on the menu. Outside dining as well as inside. Appears to be very clean. Rice - mushy not how I like it. it has a hint of something it's not regular white rice. But it's also not Jasmine because I like Jasmine rice. Interesting. I definitely expected better rice. Not rice pudding. I didn't know the wings came with French fries but they were bland. Not even any salt. Chicken- they only gave me 2 flats and 6 little drumsticks. Ok, it's a little spicy which was also unexpected. I really don't care for them at all. The waiter was nice and checked on me a few times. I wasn't offered any ranch or blue cheese or any other kind of dip for that matter. I asked if they had buttermilk ranch, they did not, just regular ranch. No offering of wetnaps either. I had to pour some water on a napkin to wipe my hands. Since I said I'm comparing, I'm gonna have to give it to Bonchon for the better wings, the better taste of the soy garlic, and the rice. Sorry bb.q I'm disappointed.
