2.5 stars. I've been here twice and I will only go back on an early weekday. My first visit was great. I went in on a Tuesday around 10:30am. I had two ladies take care of me. I went in for gel mani pedi. Pedi lasted 3.3 weeks. Gel builder mani only 6 days. My visit today was on a Friday and I walked in around 2pm. I didn't walk out of there until 5:30pm. I went in for a gel pedi and manicure. Gel pedi service was great. But the top coat on the gel color made it darker and you can see where she didn't apply top coat. One foot was a whole shade darker. She corrected the darker shade by applying a third coat and then reapplying top coat. She mentioned something about the light in there and looked up. I also had her correct where she applied gel over the cuticle. At home the top coat and nail polish under look like two shades on my toes. I'm unhappy. Now my manicure was a complete mess. She applied one coat and quickly applied a second coat and then bam quick to top coat. I should mention a women came out in and tapped her shoulder that she'll wait for her. This happened when she was wrapping up on my toes. I believe this is the reason she rushed my mani and didn't wait for coats to dry in between. I sat there with my nails in front of a fan for about 30-45 minutes. My left index and left pinky were so thick in polish they didn't dry in this time. I had her correct and she said I should've gotten gel. Gel is forgiving and quick to dry. I understand why she said this but that's not what I wanted. They had people waiting and chairs were full. This place values quantity over quality. I was expecting the great service and great quality that received my first time.

Right off the bat, didn't seem the best choice. They left my nails uncured. This was my go-to nail salon since 10 years ago and was a loyal customer for three years. I moved around and now moved back to Long Beach, to come to my home nail salon just to be left disappointed. I came in for Mani & Pedi and was assigned to Kelly. She was heavy handed with the nail file and the cuticle tool and she not gentle, felt like she was rushing. Wanted to take off my builder gel and had a good experience with Sandy! Sandy is very kind and sweet. She gave me some nail tips after taking off the builder gel since I like growing my nails out. Just did a regular clear but overall I would go to Sandy again!

I visited this salon for nail polish fix. I realized as I was sitting getting this service; my eyebrows needed to be shaped and cleaned up. Sandy was excellent and professional. I would encourage and approve her. i looked up when finished and there hung a mirror and was surprised how great my eyebrows looked. What a wonderful experience. My regular nail lady wasn't available so I went to a different salon and so glad I did. I have gel-filled nails and one broke. The lady that did my nails was "on point". She soaked my nails in warm water and removed the cuticles. Love the level of attention given. Will go back in the future. read more

I used to live in LB and come to this nail salon, and loved it. Then I moved to the Bay Area. Today I was in LB and had broken a nail! I walked in to French Nails (like old times) and TEN YEARS later Sandy recognized me, squeezed me in without an appointment and I left with beautiful nails again!! Sandy wants every customer to leave happy. It was definitely good to be back!! 10/10 recommend. read more

The service was really good and they were so nice shoutout to my girl sandy my dad is friends with her, so I basically know her and she was gentle to me. She was nice and the vibe was really good. They had some really good music and it was just super amazing and chill and they did a lot of pretty nails pedicures and manicures and you get to get your eyebrows done. I love this salon! Finally a place I want to go back to! All the gals a good, I always go to Sandy. She's a perfectionist, she's funny, she speaks good English and I enjoy being with her. They have come through every time for my daughter. So I decided to do a last minute gel manicure. And of course I call an hour before they close. Lol I got there at 6:10pm and out 6:44pm. Usually I don't like rushed service but I had to be in and out because i had so much to do still before going home. My girl Lynn did an amazing job for a quick mani. I usually go to another place down the way and they take an hour and do a poor job. My gel nail polish was lopsided and sinking lol I've found my new spot and my new girl!! Best nail salon in the area! I didn't feel like they were rushing, even though they were packed with constant new customers coming through the door. Gel manicure very thin and natural. Regular pedicure done very well with attention to detail and a nice massage. The massage chair was also one of the best I've had in a nail salon. Topped off with friendly service and good prices I've been to two others in the area but this will definitely be my new spot. read more

I have been a client for over 3 years and I love this place. The girls are always friendly and make you feel comfortable. I love their services. I do my nails and waxing with Yvonne and she is truly the best! She always goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. I love her work and service very much! I can't say enough about Yvonne. I also do my pedicure with Tina who is also very nice and good with keeping my nails clean and ingrown free. I suffered a long time with ingrown nails but after she took care of my nails never again they got ingrown. I do my facials with Sandy who is wonderful she does excellent work with my facials for a very affordable price. Overall If you are looking for a good nail salon and more I recommend French nail salon. read more

I love Hanna for my manicures, she is the best at giving me nails that are the perfect length with enough and even amount of nail coating! & Yvonne is the best for pedicure, i occasionally have ingrown nails on my big toes and she knows how to take care of them. Also, she & Hanna are not afraid to touch my skin disorder (psoriasis/eczema) when its flared up, making me feel comfortable and normal to receiving service. Love you girls so much! The first time I went I was told I had to "pay extra for color." I picked a package and was told I would have to pick the next available package ($10 more) if I wanted color. I came here to get my nails done for my big day, this is the SECOND time i come to get my nails…read moredone. I am very low maintenances and only get my nails done for special occasions and they are very good at replicating designs you want. The smell is nice inside, workers are always nice. My major takeaway why i wanted to come back was that usually nail salons nip at my cuticle and it gets red/stings. So i'm always afraid at getting my nails done, but they are gentle with the drill and i've never came across an issue. Will come back!

I got a pedicure and gel builder fill however I hate having to reach over so they can do each hand and they were kind enough to just keep switching sides so I could be comfortable while getting my pedicure. Brian was the one who worked on my hands and he did an amazing job at giving me an almond shape to where it looks natural. I am definitely going to save this place so next time I'm in town, I can go back.

Unfortunately, as the appointment continued, the quality of the service declined. Her technique became noticeably messier, and she repeatedly nipped my cuticles, which was both uncomfortable and frustrating. The biggest issue came when I asked for the flower design I originally requested. I understand that detailed flowers can be difficult to draw on nails, and I do not fault her for struggling with it. However, I do take issue with being charged for a design that I ultimately did not receive. I even told her to stop attempting the flower, but she continued trying anyway. Customers should not have to pay for a design that was never completed successfully, regardless of the products used during the attempt. That said, I will give credit where it's due. The salon itself has a very friendly and elegant atmosphere, and the staff members were welcoming and provided good customer service overall. I just wish the actual service had matched the experience and pricing.

I had been coming here every 4-6 weeks for over a year for a dip nail gel manicure & gel pedicure until I had a bad experience a while back. Yvonne and Amy always teamed up and did a wonderful job, I was always very happy with their work. Until one day I came in and someone new did my nails. That evening one of my nails popped off so I went to get it repaired. The next day two more popped off so I went back in again. The third day another popped off so I went in. While it was being fixed, an older lady came over and practically yelled at me that I needed acrylic. I told her I don't like acrylic and the dip nail usually lasts a long time. She snapped back insisting I need acrylic if I want it to last. I told her I usually come every 4 weeks and one time I even went 6 weeks, the regrowth was so long we joked it could take a refill. She cut me off and said dip nails only last 2 weeks. I told her that it lasts until I come in and they take it off, that they never pop off, they are usually quite hard to remove without the tools. She argued back that they do not last that long, only 2 weeks. I reminded her two weeks is still a lot longer than one-three days, they have been popping off, nowhere near two weeks . She cut me off again and said "Talk to her!" pointing at the technician taking care of my nail, and walked away. Mind you, I wasn't rude or demanding, didn't request a refund or new set or anything, I was just minding my business getting my nail fixed when she walked up. I don't mind the bad manicure, but I won't tolerate the disrespect. I will not be back. Picture attached of a previous manicure I was happy with from my 30th birthday. Amy and Yvonne are great and I have had another person before, I think her name was Jennifer, she was wonderful too. But the manager or owner or whoever the older lady was, was not nice at all. read more

So yeah... i went again and it was fabulous. I had someone do my nails and they turned out to be wonderful. Her name was Mai, i think. I told here I had a birthday party to go to that night and I was going to wear this purple dress that I got a few weeks ago. I told her I didn't know what to do that would make my nails compliment the dress, so she give me some advice. My nails looked amazing after. I got a full set with purple glitter at the bottom instead of the white powder that I usually got when I did my nails. She topped it with a white flower and a diamond. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. CUTE. I got a pedicure from jessica and since by that time, my nails were adready done, I wanted my toes to look just like my nails because I loved them so much. Her pedicure was very through and she was very talkative. She made me feel so relaxed. When she finished and only had to polish and design, I told her," I want my toes to match with my nails. She understood and then she covered half of my toes in purple glitter polish, diagnally. Then she finished it with a white flower and diamond just like my beautiful nails.It was amazing. I think I said amazing too many times now huh... :) Service was very nice. Mai and Jessica were very talkative and made my toes and nails look out-of-this-world. (lol) I made sure to sechedule another appointment with them, since i was so happy. I also got my eyebrows waxed by Sandy. She shaped them beautifully and I was amazed with all 3 employees. The price was around 50-60.... It was a bit high, but I was happy with what I got with the money. Hehehehe.... When I got to the party, my friends were crowding my asking me where I got my nails. I have been coming here since they opened. I have even brought a few of my male friends here and they really enjoyed it, the staff here really made it a good experience for them. I admit in between coming here, I have been to other nail places, but I always keep coming back back because the staff, the sanitary cleanliness, and much more are a great thing that they have here at french nails. At one point I had lived an hour and twenty minutes away, never went to a nail place out there, on weekends I came to visit family not to far from French Nails, I always came here to get a manicure, pedicure, a facial, and eyebrow wax, usually not all on the same trip. Now that I am back in town, I still enjoy the ambiance when I walk into there. read more

I absolutely love this Nail Salon! I primarily go to Sandy but they all do amazing work. I leave happy each and every time. Sandy takes her time and makes sure that I get exactly what I want. I have used other places and literally came here after another salon messed my nails up so badly that the top 2 layers of my nails ripped off and that was just after a basic Gel paint job. Sandy is the Owner but makes you feel special the moment you walk in or call for a appointment. I don't always leave reviews on yelp for many places but I definitely make a exception for French Nail Salon! If they do your nails and you are not satisfied, the owner will personally fix whatever issue you have and make sure you always leave smiling. read more

I came in to simply get my eyebrows waxed and the wait was 30 minutes. The lady who waxed my eyebrows was super aggressive. I've been here multiple times and I've never had anyone lift my eyebrows so harshly. While she was all in my face she was talking to her friend and her breath took a tour all in my nostrils. When she charged my card it said $10.00 and it was only supposed to be $8.00 I asked her and she said "oh this is my tip" and I was going to tip her with cash. I told her to void it and only gave her a $1. I'm a great tipper only when it comes to great service. Never coming back. read more

I called to make an appointment and I asked to get my fill and pedicure at the same time because I have a newborn baby and never know if she's going to be cranky or anything after a while so I'd rather get them done at the same time so the lady goes no we can't do at the same time depends if we are busy or not, like come on I am calling two days ahead to reserve the appointment so unfortunately they didn't take into consideration so i won't be going in and getting my nails done. I had a great experience at French Nails! I came in for a mani and pedi and left feeling super happy with the results. The staff did a great job--very professional, friendly, and detail-oriented. The salon is clean and welcoming, and I love that they have an on-site ATM that doesn't charge a ton in fees (such a plus!). The prices are very reasonable for the quality of service, and I definitely recommend them if you're looking for a relaxing, no-stress nail appointment. I'll definitely be coming back! read more
