Once the server came back to our table, I asked her if his drink could be brought out so that we could get him to calm down. She said, of course, and then came back with food and not his drink. And then when we explained to her that he specifically did not want the Boba in there, she tried to blame another coworker for putting it in there saying that it wasn't her fault. Then before my soup had come out, she informed me that she forgot to write a large portion down, so the kitchen only made a small, and then apparently the kitchen told her "that they did not feel like remaking it correctly because it was her mistake." and then asked me if that was OK if I just got the regular size. Since they don't have a kids menu, that's what me and my son were sharing and I also wanted to take food home for leftovers considering the small and large was only a dollar difference. Then she brought the food out without any spoons. There were no spoons on the table either. I had to flag down another server to get our spoons. Then there were a few times where I tried to call her over and she walked right past me like she didn't hear me. Another customer had to flag her down for me because it was noticeable and quite ridiculous. So we just asked for a check and the containers after being embarrassed by the way we were treated and my child who was not calming down we just decided to leave and take everything home. Which she then brought out small containers when we clearly had full large bowls of soup left. It was just one thing after another, so I asked to speak with management, which they absolutely handled the situation beautifully. So overall, it is a great place, but they really need to work on their servers.

On this visit, a guy who belonged in a psychiatric hospital was yelling so loud while crossing the street that two of us left NB to go outside and see what the problem was--just a sick man yelling so went back inside. Despite all that, NB does great business, and as other Yelpers have noted, NB food quantity is still very good for the price. Prices have gone up but not as bad as elsewhere and it is still a good deal for what you get. The food quality really depends on personal taste. We live in San Gabriel, so there is no shortage of stellar Asian food there and NB cannot compete. However, we really like NB's curry chicken. Their noodle dishes really vary in quality, but none of them are bad, all are at least ok, and some are good. This time we also got a chow mien. It was basically fried ramen noodles, not chow mien noodles. It was not stellar, but hey we still liked the flavor and enjoyed it. We tried for the first time the catfish nuggets. It is basically what is called salt and pepper fish filet elsewhere, but with catfish at NB. It's fried, salty fish so what's not to like. It comes with what appeared to be sweet chili sauce, but we did not try that. Business was so good that after trying to call in our order twice, which we definitely recommend doing, no one answered. We drove over and put in our order in person and saw that they were super busy--the lady taking orders missed at least one call in just while taking our order in person. Her and the people cooking were working super hard--massive props and respect to them for working hard to create a successful and long standing business in the community. We will definitely be back again and definitely recommend you give them a try. I believe the only or best (lol) menu photos were the ones I posted about 3 years ago and so I am posting and update if those with this revues and to their business.
