Another milk tea place for me to obsess over! QQ Tea House is adorable and colorful and the workers are really friendly! They gave us tons of free samples to try! (Because the grand opening, they're doing a buy one get one 99¢ deal!) They have a lot of options you don't find at other tea places! Lots of different milk tea flavors, ice teas, smoothies, and juices. I didn't try any, but I also spotted a bunch of baked goods, coffee jelly, and fruits for sale too. I compare tea places by the quality of their regular black milk tea and standard boba. QQ was very good! The tea is not overly sweet, just how I like it. The regular boba was a lot smaller in size than most other places, but tasted just as good. Will definitely come again! read more

I have been here exactly 3 times since discovering it two weeks ago, it has easily become one of my favorite places on island! It is an adorable mom and pop shop, they have delicious tea flavors, great smoothies and their boba is good!! They have adorable pastries that are also super delicious, and vegan plate lunch!! I tried the chicken satay last time and you couldn't tell it was a meat substitute! I couldn't choose one thing to recommend, I'm still trying the menu! I did love the lychee yogurt drink, that was especially delicious. The owner is very friendly and always offers to mix the drink for you- and it tastes better when you let her do it. QQ has finally reopened! Unfortunately the menu has shrunk. They no longer serve the delicious Li Hing smoothie and some other items. That being said my only choice is the Wintermelon Tea. They now serve food items as well, but i have not tried it as i am only there for the tea! I think they've gotten rid of the stamp card and the Sunday specials as i no longer see it being advertised. Hopefully they expand their menu and bring back some of the old smoothies and other drinks! read more

I've searched far and wide throughout town for a perfect boba place comparable to California's and I hit the jackpot! I hope this place is here to stay. (I actually learned about it from my mom) After a few minutes of looking over their menu I got the shave ice with strawberry, mango, condensed milk and chocolate pudding topping. It was soooo good and for $5 it's such a good deal! I can't wait to come back and try more! read more

One more to add to my favorite bubble tea places on the island! QQ Tea House just opened this weekend in University Plaza (across from Kinkos). If you know where Hungry Ear Records, Golden Dynasty, or the Jiu Jitsu place is, it's on the opposite side of the building facing University St. Look for the orange sign. DRINKS: Did I walk into Coffee or Tea? Because this tastes remarkably similar. Possibly better since there's no terrible service to bring down my experience. Their milk tea is Taiwanese style and not super sweet, just the way I like it. They let us sample it beforehand to make sure it wasn't too sweet or bland. I also tried my friends watermelon milk tea (sounds gross I know) but it was very good as well! Creamy yet refreshing. We also had samples of the lychee and plum smoothie. Very icy and refreshing, perfect for this yucky weather. SERVICE: A++. The ladies were SOOO friendly. Samples of the drinks right when we walked in, friendly smiles, using two hands to take and give something back to the customers with a little head bow (if you understand this, you're Asian enough lol), more samples while we were sitting inside...Awesome! I hope this wonderful service continues long after they get more popular. They have rotating weekly specials where you can get a selected drink for 99cents if you buy another one for regular price. I'm not sure how long this grand opening special is gonna last so stop on in! Bring a friend! Don't like drinks? They also have some desserts in their display case. This little gem is one of the best kept secrets in town. The staff is amazingly friendly. The VEGAN Food is out of this world!!!! And the smoothies are a game changer. I'm slowly making my way they the vegan menu and there hasn't been 1 thing i don't absolutely love. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

After the disappointing UH vball match last night my gf wanted milk tea. QQ tea is a place she goes often bc it is near by her work place. I recently Have been drinking milk and boba tea bc there is one in Kapolei when I drive the boring bus route every so often. This place has a variety of different milk teas, boba, and waffle sandwiches. Yes different sandwiches made with waffles as buns. However we only ordered milk teas today. We both love chocolate so she ordered a chocolate pudding milk tea and I got a chocolate coffee milk tea with a little bit of honey boba. To me both teas tasted almost identical except that mine had the boba. They tasted very good like drinking a chocolate light sundae. The price was around $4 which was a little cheaper than the place in Kapolei. I will definitely go back of she wants to drink milk tea in the area again. I wanted to like this place more than I did. The atmosphere was really cute, and it briefly made me miss Taiwan. The menu had a wide variety of options, and upon entering, my friend and I were given a sample of the black milk tea and the lychee smoothie. The black milk tea at full sweetness was way too sweet for my taste, and the lychee smoothie was a little too icy but not bad. I ended up ordering the black milk tea with pudding at half sweetness. The tea was just average, and the pudding had a strange fake buttered popcorn jelly bean flavor to it which I didn't care for. They had Costco/Sam's Club muffins for resale at the counter which was kind of funny. I'm willing to try this place again and order something else, but probably not for a while. read more

We love boba drinks. This place is typical but they don't have a multitude of options for flavored milk tea like other places. I usually order almond milk tea but they didn't have it. So I ordered a regular milk tea with coconut and they didn't have that either. I'm obviously not looking at the menu. I finally ordered a regular milk tea with grass jelly and honey boba. They ran out of regular sized boba so I had no choice but to get the smaller ones, which was perfectly fine. My daughter ordered an Okinawa milk tea with boba. Our drinks came sealed which I learned from her is best to shake before drinking-- what a boba drink expert. The boba drinks were delicious upon the first sip. The boba was perfect, chewy and slightly undercooked which is the texture I prefer. I'm definitely coming back! read more

QQ Teahouse is amazing. I had the regular milk tea with honeybboba and added pudding, as well as the okinawa milk tea, which is my current go-to. They have plenty of variety that many other milk tea places and even smoothie places don't have. I got their milk tea with grass jelly to see how it compares to when lived in Singapore, and it was definitely legitimate. They graciously gave us lots of samples, including passion fruit smoothie and avocado milk, all of which were delicious and fresh--no powders here. Prices are very, very competitive: currently they have a buy one get one for 99¢. The staff is very friendly and eager to serve, and the decor is fun yet relaxing. Bought 4 bubble tea drinks since they had their buy one get one .99 special and they weren't half bad. I ordered the pineapple, strawberry, pineapple black tea, and mango smoothie. The cashier recommended the pineapple black tea to me and I was hesitant to order it, but he was right it was delicious! You could totally taste the tea but it wasnt overpowering the pineapple flavor. My family also enjoyed their drinks as well! Love the friendly staff and the owner who is quite funny. Next time I wanna try their pudding milk tea because I heard it's just as good or even better than Coffee or Tea...we'll see about that. read more

QQ Tea House is back open. I remember going there when it was first opened and was excited to have a new tea place in town. However, they suddenly closed for renovations. When driving in the neighborhood one day I noticed that they reopened. YAY! I had the green tea milk tea with azuki beans and it was yummy. The tea flavor comes through when drinking the milk tea which can sometimes be overpowered by the milk and sweetness. Decent boba place, tried it for the second time today after their recent renovations. The first time I went, I stayed for an hour or so and came back to a parking ticket (parked in the lot in front of the store), so I went back in and they said they'd take care of it. I hope the parking situation has been resolved, hopefully no more tickets! Ordered the wintermelon tea, but didn't realize it already comes with tea jelly in it. It's not posted anywhere on their signage saying which drinks include toppings (apparently not all do), which should be specified so not to add additional toppings if not desired. The price is decent for the amount (only one cup size). Topping prices are a little higher at 65¢ each, versus 50¢ at other places. First time trying tea jelly, it was light and refreshing, they allowed me to sample it. My drink was a little too sweet, wish they'd have asked about sweetness level upon ordering. But overall pretty good, will return. read more

QQs iced milk is way better than honey boba's frosted milk option across the street. The vegetarian chicken nuggets are surprisingly good - I would think it was real chicken if I didn't know.
