I scheduled an 11:00 am appointment with Tracy for a root color, tone, and haircut. When I arrived, I was told she wasn't there yet and another stylist had to call her to let her know I had arrived. When I spoke with Tracy on the phone, she asked if I could wait 10-15 minutes, and since I wasn't in a rush, I agreed. However, she didn't arrive until close to 11:30 am, which immediately made me feel like my appointment may have been forgotten. I had booked through Yelp messaging, so it's possible there was a communication breakdown, but as a client, it didn't leave a great first impression. While I was initially happy with how the overall color looked from a distance, the experience itself was very disappointing. There were hair dye spots all over my face, and the bleach product that was applied around my forehead resulted in what appears to be a chemical burn. The ammonia smell during the toning process was extremely strong - strong enough that I had to request a towel to cover my face because it was burning my nose while I tried to breathe. I have had many hair services done in the past (ombre, balayage, bleach, partial and full highlights), so I'm pretty familiar with the typical process and smell of toners - specifically semi-permanent products. Based on my experience, I strongly believe she used a permanent dye which isn't ideal because of how harsh it was and how much more damaging it is vs. semi-permanent dye. Additionally, the haircut is uneven in the front. From the back it's not very noticeable, but when my hair is pulled forward, the right side is visibly longer than the left (by about half an inch). I was honestly caught off guard given the many positive reviews I had seen prior to booking, but I should've been more thorough. I don't leave reviews lightly, but I feel it would be a disservice not to share my experience. I hope the business takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve client care and quality of service moving forward. Unfortunately, I will NOT be returning. read more

Was also told multiple times how "dry" and "nasty" my hair was by Nick. The cut itself was decent however 3-4 inches shorter than I requested. Also after washing, be prepared for a few hard pulls as he rings out your hair. To start, I'd like to say WOW! Kenny did an EXTRAORDINARY job with my hair! I'm not one to review much, but when I do... that's when you know it was extremely impactful. I don't get my hair cut often due to the fact that it rarely ever comes out the way I envision, even if I show a photo and give extensive details of what I want. I was pretty hesitant to even get one today, but I knew that I needed a change... so after browsing through many hair salons on Yelp, I took a leap of faith and chose QT Salon. They validated my decision every step of the way with their quick, affordable and quality service. I had initially sent them an inquiry on Yelp which was also sent to other local businesses, and they were the first to respond within a few minutes with an open availability, so I made my way over. I didn't ask for the price until I came in and showed my hair, which turned out to be fair and reasonable compared to other locations. When I arrived, I came in expressing that I wanted to keep the length (with heavy emphasis), layers, and curtain bangs. I didn't even show a photo, and Kenny delivered exactly what I envisioned. He kept my hair long (of course having to cut off the dead ends to keep it healthy) and added beautiful textures to my hair. The curtain bangs were perfectly cut at the desired length, and everything was so elegantly styled. To add, he is extremely kind. You can also tell that he knows his craft; another client was watching him cut and style my hair and said that he's the salt bae of hair cuts!
