Delicious food in a adorable bar/restaurant located in a historic building in downtown Slippery…read moreRock! I think I can speak for our group of six that we had a great meal! Our server was Dustin (or Justin, we weren't sure) who was terrific (ask for him to wait on you, if you can!) I had the Italian Panini which was so yummy! Also the side dish of loaded mashed potatoes with gravy ..... They were just okay. It was quite a cold night, so 3 of us had nice hot cups of tea served in these quaint handmade mugs! And I had a glass of homemade root beer ..... ya can't go wrong! The prices are reasonable: my tea, root beer, and Italian Panini were $25. I think very moderate. Reservations are highly recommended. You can make one online for a party of up to 6. Larger groups must be reserved over the phone. Highly recommend and I would give it more than five stars if I could!

We enjoyed our Cajun chicken pasta (4.5/5) and the buffalo chicken sandwich (4.5/5). The Backpack Stash IPA was really good and this is coming from someone who doesn't drink much beer. The walls had a lot of cool historical vintage photos and antique items. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We had really good friendly service (5/5). We recommend this restaurant! Happy Yelping :)

******CASH ONLY********…read more The Oak Grove Inn, located on 488 heading towards Portersville, is a small dive bar with an inviting atmosphere, plenty of TVs, and a great selection of beer. It's a popular spot among locals for catching a game and enjoying some delicious wings. I had heard rave reviews about their wings, so I decided to give them a try for myself. Upon my visit, I was pleased to find that the wings lived up to the hype. I ordered the General Alex, which is a combination of their General Tso's sauce and Lickers sauce (not on the menu, but available upon request). The wings were large, cut wings - not small wing pieces, but not whole wings either. They were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat inside. The General Alex sauce had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, making for a truly satisfying wing experience. In addition to the General Alex, I also tried their garlic wings. These were equally delicious, with a rich, garlicky flavor that paired well with the crispy exterior of the wings. This location is a smoking establishment so please respect this bars right to do as they please. With that said, this location upon both of my visits had very little to no smoke smell in its haul. Pictured left is the General Alex and pictured right is the garlic wings. They come in 10's and 5's. I enjoy watching Steelers games at this location with their many tv's and their delicious wings from time to time. The atmosphere, beer selection, and wings make it a must-visit spot for anyone in the area.

What a great find. I needed to get something to eat after I landed in my room and right across the…read moreparking lot. Was this barbecue place. It came highly recommended, so I had to go over and check it out Walked in and was immediately greeted and taken to my table, I was only there for a brief moment before Ashley showed up to take my drink order. I like that prompt, on point and willingness to serve the customer. I ordered an iced tea with no lemon and checked out the menu. They have plenty of great options since it was wing day. I figured I'd better check it out. When Ashley came back with my ST I asked her what was up with wings and they were $0.99 each on Tuesday and Wednesday so I had to do it. They come smoked and fried which was absolutely wonderful and they come with a house dry rub which was off the charts. I ordered a house salad which was pretty big for the price. That and the wings made for a great meal. So I took that down in record time. I have to brag on my server. Ashley was absolutely great. She was on point all through the meal, she was not overbearing, she was attentive, friendly, made great suggestions, and was just overall a pleasure to have as a server. It really makes a difference when the person waiting tables knows what they're doing. And she was on point. I hope that management reads this and gives her a raise, because she was the gold standard for me. Having been a server for as many years as I have I can see it. So management if you're reading this that girl deserves a raise. And she should be the one training other waitresses how to be. Bottom line?l The experiences was really good, the food was amazing. The service was top notch and I don't have a bad thing to say about this place at all. If you are ever in this area you need to go back there and get yourself something on wing day which is Tuesday and Wednesday and be sure to ask for Ashley. You will not regret it.
