GX460 2023 needed paint for scratches. Filed claim and went to Lexus dealership in Freehold NJ. Service Department recommended Quality Auto Body Rahway. Trusted them. Quality Auto Body explicitly told me that the job will be done in three weeks and recommended taillight replacement and suggested having a month for rental with Insurance company so nothing to worry about. Trusted them. Quality Auto Body filed three time their supplement claims (felt weird). Not being a major job, I expressed my concerns. Assured me not to worry and started finding fault with Insurance company as an excuse. My rental period of 30 days completed, and I am without car. Quality Auto said we can't do anything. Everday's request to expedite was in vain. Stress started. Took two more weeks to get the car with a discussion in Front of service manager Lexus that Al (Q.A.B Manager) will talk to the owner to split the expenses and repeated multiple times that "our quality work is excellent". Came home and my son noticed that the Taillight is different than the original. Shocking, right. If one is claiming multiple times about quality work then why this happened. Was it deliberate to save money and compromised quality? Was Quality auto Body so negligent not to care about the part number? I brought my car here 6 weeks ago, as this piece of shit place was recommended to me by Ray Cantena in Union. I am completely disgusted at the service I was given. First of all, my car has been in there for 6 weeks and they didn't even start working on it yet!!!! Everytime I would call and ask for a date of completion, the guy would say "2 more weeks". They kept my car hostage instead of telling me the truth about how long the process would be. When I was rear-ended in March, 2022, my dealership referred me to Quality Auto Body in Rahway. From start to finish, which turned out to be 9 months, they were helpful, honest and responsive and I highly recommend their shop. They were able to see my car the day after the accident and provided an immediate estimate for repairs to get the process going with insurance. They also gave me some good advice for how to file with insurance and told me what to expect throughout the process. My case was handled by Doug Zander who was wonderful. He was very honest about the turnaround time for parts and would update me periodically. He was also extremely responsive via text whenever I had a question. And he went above and beyond in chasing my insurance company for necessary approvals to keep things moving. My meticulously kept car was rear ended and Quality Auto Body was recommended by the dealership. Great experience from start to finish. Repair was completed in a reasonable amount of time. After the repair, manager performed a walkaround with me to inspect the work and it was flawless. I do not understand these negative reviews whatsoever. When reviewing this shop please me mindful that the negative reviews are 1.5-2 years old. I had damage to my front bumper -- brought it in for an estimate and eventually to be repaired. The estimate process was quick and easy. Dan, who works for Quality, took care of me through the entire process and was extremely transparent, thorough, and patient. He always took my calls no matter how annoying I (may) have been. After the parts came I brought my car in and it was fixed within 3 days. Dan called me notifying me when it was done / when I could pick it up. The work was flawless -- my front bumper looked better than it had before the accident. Quality gives a guarantee on the work they performed that if anything they fixed (scratches, paint, etc) deteriorates or, for example, the paint begins to come off, they will fix it at no charge. That's called standing behind your work. It's important to know that many body shops don't use the same quality paint as the original manufacturer of your vehicle had used. When you try to sell your car (perhaps as a trade-in), there are paint "quality" scanners that give paint ratings. Quality uses the highest quality of paint and repairs cars in the proper setting (ie, painting cars may need to be done in a heated setting, etc). Some of the most popular / most reputable car dealerships in the area also use Quality Auto Body exclusively for their repairs. Even after I took my car home, I called Dan with a few questions and he still had the same patience and care as he had before I even paid. Again, I do not understand where the negative reviews come from. So I came for an in-person Interview on Martin Luther King day to pretty much get discriminated by Gary, the person that showed interest into hiring me.. up until he randomly focused his attention to my head. To better explain, I came in to the office with a black ski mask, keeping my face visible but also covered due to COVID policies/cold weathers. So now that the attention was on my head-gear, he got curious and asked to look at my Hair. Please keep in mind, the energy during the interview was absolutely smooth and he showed intentions of wanting to hire me up until I pulled my ski mask off my head. The whole mood of the room shifted and I immediately felt awkward. like an animal of some kind. I knew then I was being discriminated for my choice of hair style. Clean Cultural BRAIDS! With a face of ignorance he told me he needed to get someone else from the company to take a good look at my hair. As I'm going through my discriminating head Scan, he then asked me if it's alright that I "take out my hair" (braids). I politely asked him "Why?" and Gary's genius answer to that was that "it'll scare the customers". At this point, I stood in shock. I don't even remember what my reply was. I just remember going home and feeling bad for him and how uneducated alot of people still are. I just want someone to answer this: How does someone hair style affect their work ethics? I personally feel like people need to change their mindsets because that's clearly stereotyping. Let's just Imagine if dreads/braids were the only convenient hairstyles you can have for long haired people...Then what !?? No jobs for them? Will we be forced to have low cuts or be bald? This isn't the military! Personally, when it comes to this place.. I wouldn't do business with them AT ALL !! I'm Just hoping for the future generation to take this advice: don't allow people to make you feel discriminated because of the hair that grows from your roots . They're the definition of abysmal treatment. We sent in our car and after a month of waiting, we got it back only to find out the parts were "off - market" and needed to be replaced cause they didn't fit properly. We came in the same week and gave the car back, waited another 3 weeks to get those things fixed... Once we got it back, we saw only half the things fixed. Came back in the next day and then like always there's like a 40 minute wait because they're in a "meeting" when they're just in the break room chilling. They're tarnishing the name of Geico. Went for an estimate, my wife was in a minor front end accident in our new SUV . Saw alot of (questionable) good reviews on other websites. While I was waiting inside, a woman was picking up her car. She informed me that her car has been there for 2 months while they first told her it would take 2 weeks. She told me they are horrible, take your car elsewhere. When I went outside with the employee to look at my car, he asked if I have car rental reimburstment in my insurance policy, I said yes and he told me to leave the car there today but our car was still in driveable condition and I told him that. When I called Mercedes they told me to call Quality for the repairs, I didnt think twice since I the dealer are the ones who refered me to Quality. It ended up taking 3 weeks to get my car back and I kept getting the run around and they kept telling me they were waiting on parts. When I finally got my car back there was a huge stain on the bottom of the passenger door that was supposedly brand new. They charged me for parts they didn't use. A running light was scratched on my car in addition to other damage. They fixed only some of the other damage and charged me for a replacement light which was never fitted. They also said they'd call me back immediately with an assessment and I never got a call, instead they called me to tell me the was ready for pickup! Terrible service, dicey practices. Would never recommend them. I think a simple quality assurance process would do these guys good. Before any cars are sent to detailing after repairs, a quality assurance person should carefully assess the car to ensure the work was done correctly AND completely. It would take 5 minutes but I think it would alleviate all these terrible reviews.... read more

It wasn't involved with an insurance company , and the other party asked for 3 quotes. So he automatically assumed that they would pick the cheaper quote . So due to assumption, he gave away a work. If this guy is willing to blow someone off like that , then I would not wanna have him taking car of my truck. This is perfect example why car insurance cost is so high , they charged my insurance company over 20k for front bumper scratch ,door scratch on fender scratch , I had estimate from another body shop for $7000 and 3 weeks of time to do repair , after speaking to my insurance adjuster he recommended to move my car to Geico repair shop witch was quality auto body repair because they have life guaranty if I fix my car with there shop , so I agreed, OMG THAT WAS THE BIGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE , manager Boo is bigest lier and scam artist I ever met , after my car was there for first month I called Boo and asked what is taking so long ? He told me they ordered parts from dealer since a month a go and nothing yet, so I decided to call dealer my self since I know everyone at parts department , and guess what I was told THEY JUST PLACED ORDER FOR PARTS TODAY so I called back and asked for Boo again , wen I told him what the dealer told me he told me he wold check with his ordering department and call me back , we'll he never called me back , next 30 days every time I wold call he wold be in meeting or out for lunch or on phone , so his secretary would tell me they will call me wen they get parts , finely after almost 3 month my car was partially finished and he got on phone to tell me they are waiting for the door to come , I asked him why are you replacing door it's only a scratch , he told me why you care insurance company is paying , I finely got my car back EXACTLY 3 month after , my car looks and drives so bad that was not safe for me to drived and they NEVER REPLACED DOOR THEY ONLY PAINTED THE DOOR never did alignment and I have Loose wires exposed in my bumper, dealer told me he has seen bad body work before but never anything like this , my car is currently at dealer trying to fix what they destroyed, please do yourself favor and don't get involved with this shop , they are scam artist and thieves, till today they never apologize to me for messing up my car . read more
