I have gotten cars worked on a few times over the years by Quality Body & Fender. They seem to do a good job with a reasonable turnaround time based on when they estimate the repairs. My insurance companies at the time handled two of the situations, and Quality seems to be able to work those out with the Claim Teams quickly. On a recent incident where my front end was bent up on my 2018 Chevy Bolt, Quality was listed as a preferred GEICO auto shop. Quality's Estimator Jaime walked me through the process. While things can always take a little longer when dealing with insurance and paperwork, I was able to get my car back with the front end looking close to new. When I've been there, I've seen cars and trucks in much worse condition to my cars, so I'm assuming they're good at what they do. Had a mishap and noticed they were in Geico's preferred network- meaning they worked with GEICO for any updates and was able to extend my Enterprise rental without me doing anything. Super easy! They fixed up my EV just like new and was able to source the parts of the dealer in Marin easily. Super easy to communicate and professional. Highly recommend them if your insurance is partnered with them for a friction free repair! Tips for rental car/Enterprise- do not select to pickup the car at this location, you want to select the Broadway location for your car. The process is they will organize a ride to the Broadway location for you after you drop off your car for repair. I mistakenly selected this pickup location and they didn't have cars that met my insurance max, hence paying extra out of pocket. But they can pickup the rental from the shop when you come to pick up your car! read more

Incredibly professional service and quality work. I got my EV6 repaired there a few months ago, the communications were great, job was done well and on-time. They provided me with shuttling to the rental car and even charged and cleaned my car while it was in the shop. I was not expecting that detail of service. "Quality" body & fender did NOT notify me of storage fees and proceeded to hold my car hostage over a weekend while they were closed/unreachable without prior notification that I could pick up my car. I was FORCED to pay over $1000 in fees just to get my car back. On top of that, when I brought my vehicle in (through GEICO) there were damages but none of the lights on my dash were lit up & I had been driving it around without issue -- when I picked up my vehicle ALL the lights on my dash were lit up and the body shop refused to take responsibility. Very satisfied with the service I received. I had to get front end damage repaired. I was hit on a Monday, claim was submitted online with Geico, was able to get an appointment on Tuesday afternoon. A rental car was scheduled. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome. I dropped my car off and the rental company was there to pick me up within 5 mins. Everything is done via a text link to look online. There was more damage under the bumper and I needed a new emblem. Every step I received a text with updates. My car was ready the following Monday. Pick up was fast and I received a complimentary car wash. If I ever need body service, I'd probably return if they're still part of Geico. read more

I have some new memory issues due to a recent medical problem, so I can't remember the name of the young woman who helped me, or the people who worked on my vehicle. I could not be more grateful for their assistance, help, and kindness, as well as the quality of work done on my vehicle (a 2025 Nissan Ariya with a rare color and high-end window tint). I have never had an experience with a repair shop even close to the positive experience with this shop. The incident that caused the accident was very traumatic and somewhat devastating for me, due to an unexpected medical issue which caused this accident. This is going to be a novel, be prepared! If I could give zero stars, I would. We brought our Mercedes to Quality after being referred by GEICO. And that's when the nightmare started. Once they claimed the repairs were completed, we picked up the vehicle, only to realize it wouldn't accelerate past 70 mph. That's right. A high-performance German-engineered vehicle crawling like a 90s minivan with a breathalyzer on its last breath [mistake no. I]. I immediately contacted the shop and explained the issue, owner requested that I bring it back to which I did [mistake no. II]. A few days later, the shop owner got back to me and, after a diagnostic and test drive, she confirmed the car had trouble accelerating. Her excuse? "It might be a pre-existing issue with the bi-turbo system." SO, she offered to refer the car to a third party for further inspection [mistake no. III] but only with our approval [which we gave because we were left with no other choice at this point]. The second shop parroted the same weak excuse: "pre-existing condition." [mistake no. IIII] Let me make this painfully clear: before the accident and before these so-called 'repairs,' the car drove PERFECTLY. Not a single issue with acceleration. No "turbo" problems. Zip. Nada. Nothing. These issues began ONLY after Quality worked on it. But ohhh, it gets even worse and entertaining. When we picked up the car the second time, my husband took ONE look at the repair area and immediately saw a major issue: the turbo hose was completely shot - ripped, grazed, and visibly damaged. It was obviously NOT repaired. It wasn't even inspected. He immediately took a video of the damage [attached for your entertainment]. There's literally no denying it. And just when we thought it couldn't get more insulting .. they charged us THEE MOST for parts as if they were OEM [Original Equipment Manufacturer], but it's obvious they're aftermarket. They charged us luxury prices for budget parts, while cutting corners and blaming us for their OWN oversight. It's Fn infuriating. So here we are, for the THIRDDDD time, taking the vehicle to Mercedes directly. And guess what Mercedes told us: "I do see the impact to the vacuum line and in fact caused additional consequential damage, furthermore my technician did NOTE a crack in the engine upper timing cover also due to this impact. Both of these repairs will be necessary to remedy the client's issue." Translation: ALL of the damage was caused by the incident. And NONE of it was "pre-existing." Everything Quality should've found and fixed? THEY Fn DIDN'T. So let me summarize this comedy of errors: * Quality failed to perform a thorough inspection. * Missed or ignored critical impact damage. * Blamed the issues on a "pre-existing condition." * Used aftermarket parts while charging OEM-level prices. * Gave us the runaround and dragged this out for weeks. * Caused additional damage and more financial strain [I'll give them a break on this because they did discount my deductible]. * Wasted our time, energy, and multiple days of missed work. We've had to endure SO much unnecessary stress and frustration just trying to get my damn car back in good working condition, and we still don't have resolution because of how Quality handled this from the start. If you're thinking of bringing your car here: RUN. DON'T. JUST. WALK .. RUN .. FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE. Because unless you want to pay premium for bottom-tier work, be GASLIT about "pre-existing" damage, and have to involve YOUR dealership just to get a REAL answer, this is NOT the place for you. This review is TRUE and HONEST. It's going on Google. It's going on Yelp. And anywhere else people need to be warned. Honesty matters. Accountability matters. Your car deserves better. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and the repair of my minor damage seemed fine. That is, until a few months later when one my my parking sensors popped out of place. I thought this was a warranty issue, but when the dealer looked at it they said that my bumper had not been properly repaired/attached. Because I moved since this work was done, I took it to a different body shop to get re-repaired. Apparently all of the damage that couldn't be seen had been ignored and done real poorly. This caused a HUGE pain dealing with geico and "Quality" Body and Fender. My car has been in the shop for over two weeks as it waited to get all the approvals. The final one was actually a payment from "Quality" Body and Fender. This had added ANOTHER couple days to the delay in getting my car back. Truly, an awful and expensive experience. read more

I have never had to file an insurance claim for body damage before. I filed through my insurance and let me tell you; from the initial drop off to pick up - flawless. I dropped off my car and Jackie took great care of me. Showed me everything she was doing and why. It was early in the morning and I had to get to work. She texted Enterprise right when I arrived for my pickup to get a rental. I got picked up and whisked away within 20 minutes of arrival. 2 days later I get a call (after talking to my insurance) that my car would be ready in less than a week. Went to get my car and it was perfect. Looked like a new car. I have a 2012 Honda Accord Coupe which isn't made anymore so when I say new - it looked NEW. As soon as I arrived for pickup I was greeted. Shown to the office to sign papers. Handed over my keys to the rental and boom. Done. My car was detailed and better than when I left it. Was in an accident that wasn't my fault, so my insurance agents at AAA took care of everything. I thought the quality of the work was excellent and I thought the folks who work here were nice and easy to talk to. My only difficulty was communication. All communication was initiated by me. I had to do the calling when it came to figuring out how long the repairs would take and when I could pick up my car. The only thing I'd change here is the communication: my car was done at least one day early, but I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't called. When renting a car (in this case my car took over 2 weeks to repair), every day counts. read more

Originally, they said 5-7 days, but when we discussed that I don't have rental coverage they agreed to make sure all parts were available in advance so I wouldn't be without my car when I needed it for the weekend. Then they finished in 4 days! Great turnaround time The insurance estimate was low, they worked with geico with no hassle to me for the difference. He neighborhood is unsafe looking, but they assured me cars are parked inside the locked gate at night, so no issues. Bonus star- I had ordered parts to replace the belt molding on my windows, a 5 min job if you know what you are doing, but I couldn't figure it out. I NEVER do this, in fact, this is my first Yelp review ever-- but I feel as it's my duty to warn people about this business based on my horrific experience. I want to begin by saying that most of the folks I spoke to at Quality Body & Fender were incredibly nice, empathetic, and professional. That said when I picked up my car after it was in the shop for over a month...I was surprised to find that they had LITERALLY let an animal live in my back seat (I don't own any pets). I didn't notice the disgusting damage to my backseat until I was parked in front of my apartment (only 5 mins away). When I called the shop back to see what could be done, they said I would have to wait until the following Tuesday (mind you, I picked it up on a Friday) for anything to be done. I suggested they reimburse me for a deep clean of my back seat since they couldn't help me until the following week...they offered me no assurance that I would be paid back and even chuckled at the idea. I waited until Tuesday to go back and they "cleaned" the seat but left behind LITERAL paw prints. They were kind enough to offer to replace the fabric on the back seat since there were claw marks in the upholstery and I agreed as I felt that was a fair resolution. Welp...this all happened in September 2021...and it's now Feb 2022. I'm still waiting to hear back if they ever did order new upholstery for those seats. I really wanted to like this place, but this complete inattention to customer service, leading to my comically bad experience is just unforgivable. After retiring from working in SF and parking in the street, I got my front and read bumpers re-done. The front of my Subaru WRX is low and had been damaged from debris and steep driveways over the years. The front tire well lining also needed replacing. They were straightforward and professional in their pricing and the job was completed as agreed. Good communication throughout the process. Less than a year later, as I'm driving down 580, I hear a scrapping noise and see out my read view mirror that parts from the front of my car are flying off! Things like this happen.
