I found out what happened. "SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Autopsy reports revealed causes of death for four family members who died on October 8 inside their home in an upscale San Francisco neighborhood. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner reports, obtained by KRON4 Wednesday, confirmed that one of the family members died by suicide and three family members were homicide victims. Thomas Russell Ocheltree's brother found the four bodies inside 930 Monterey Boulevard on October 8, the reports state. The brother was "performing a well-being check" on the family because he was unable to reach Ocheltree over the phone, according to the reports. After making a shocking and heartbreaking discovery, he called 911. Police officers and paramedics swarmed the large house. Police officers investigate a San Francisco home where four bodies were found inside on Oct. 8, 2025. (KRON4 Photo) The youngest victim was Ocheltree's 9-year-old daughter, Mackenzie Lou Ann Ocheltree. Investigators determined that she was shot once in her bedroom. Mackenzie's 12-year-old sister, Alexandra Grace Ocheltree, was shot twice in a different bedroom. Their 57-year-old father, Thomas Ocheltree, had been shot twice in the chest and once in the neck. According to the reports, the manner of death for the girls and their father were ruled as homicides. Paula Truong, 53, was Thomas Ocheltree's wife and the mother of Mackenzie and Alexandra. Truong's manner of death was determined to be a suicide, the reports state. Unlike her deceased family members, her body was not found lying in her bed. Truong was found inside the garage. Yes, major components--like the transmission 2.5 years ago)--are failing and are increasingly expensive to R&R. But where else am I going to find a large, comfy sedan these days that gets 40+ freeway mpg on bio or renewable diesel for less than the down-payment on a new microcar. Shop rates look far more reasonable in that context independent shop rates, that is. The cost to repair at dealership rates would have seen her scrapped long ago. Joe is sympathetic, honest, communicates well, and stands by his shop's work. Turnaround has occasionally been slow, but understandable given the diagnostic challenges a 28-year old car can produce. This is my second review (see the first review , which I wrote after Zentrum replaced the front brakes on my C43). When the back brakes started squeaking and needed replacement, it was time to return to Zentrum. After the shop replaced the back brakes, I still heard squeaking, so I returned to Zentrum. This was one of those irritating squeaks that was intermittent and hard to trace. To be sure this problem was totally fixed, Joe replaced BOTH the relatively new front brakes as well as the rears. I took my husband's BMW 550i to this repair shop. I was greeted by a very friendly lady that I later learned was the cashier. Joe, who was very pleasant and very professional, took my information and inspected the car. The car needed a break flush. I asked approximately what time it would be ready and he said mid-day, around 2 or so. I needed a ride from my job in downtown Oakland to pick up my car. I called and asked if they could send someone to pick me up at 4:30. At 4:30, Gonzalo was there. Promptly at 4:30. Gonzalo was very pleasant and a safe driver. I'm impressed with Zentrum Motors. This review is about their BMW service. Since they are divided up into three separate teams I can't comment about Audi or Benz. I have never taken my cars anywhere but the dealership, but when BMW of San Francisco quoted me $700+ just for front brakes I decided it was time to look elsewhere. I called several specialty BMW shops and other dealers before deciding to take the risk and go with All MAB. Luckily the risk was worth the reward. I received great service at a great price! The BMW service writer, Mike, was very helpful and prompt. He answered all of my oddball questions, and made arrangements with me to accommodate the unfortunate and unique circumstances with my car. All MAB put on new front brakes, rotors, and completed an oil change. The rest of the team is a pleasure to work with as well, and my service bill was substantially less than the dealer but I still drove away with all genuine BMW parts on my car. This place is great, Joe is a no-bs type of guy, and the first place I turn to for advice. I'm a bit of a Mercedes enthusiast, so everything I'd like to DIY. Like all Mercedes eventually you will run into random problems, and sometimes parts are a pain in the ass to find if you don't exactly know the part number or have access to it, especially parts that aren't sensors that commonly fail. One neat thing is they do have a STAR diagnostic system for Mercedes, they charge about 100 bucks to run a diagnostic which is cheaper than what the dealer charges, and if you generally know your way around your car and have access to the internet they are more than happy to give you all the information their system obtained. Again, no-bs. Pretty much the cheapest spot to go if you need access to a STAR diagnostic system, unless you find a guy off Craigslist that has access to a replica that can run the same diagnosis for 35 bucks. read more

This happens to be exactly the same rate the MB Oakland charges. They've saved me a couple times with my old '89 300E. The last quick fix was $16 for a replacement headlight. I knew the first time I went what I was in for when they gave me a bottle of wine as a new customer. I just saw $$$$ twirl before my eyes. I am pissed. I had these guys do the regular service plus transmission service on my Audi A3 a year ago. They did OK, about 20% cheaper than the dealer, even though I felt like I was always felt that I am been sold more than I need. They earned 3 to 4 stars for that service. When the light went off again last week, saying the I am due for another service, I called them up and spoke with Mike. He looked up my car info but was with another customer and said he would call back. OK, I understand. After I called again 6 hours later, I spoke with another guy, who said that Mike was busy and will call me back. This is now 24 hours since the last call and no call back. my car's side mirror cover fell off. I called MBZ dealership, they quota one hr labor for it. another auto shop gave me a quota including part replacement. I brought the car to this shop. Dave saved the mirror and didn't ask me for a penny. He said it's not much work for it. It's really the first time that I saw a business so honest with what they are doing. I heard they even have a little garden in the shop for staffs to Zen out during break. You won't go wrong with a business that really takes care of its staffs. Great Service, wonderful experience. Joe and Zentrum Motors is amazing. My brother discovered them for his BMW, my bro lives 5 blocks away from them. i have an Audi and the Oakland Audi was getting too expensive as i was outside of my all-inclusive warranty, hence the maintenance was coming out of my pocket. Joe is honest, doesn't try and upsell and does only what needs to be done. I completely trust him, and TRUST is not a word that comes lightly for me (particularly with car people). My last visit there, my engine wasn't idling/running smoothly. My Audi also has this defect on the roof bar and got bent and I pointed this out to Joe asking him if he had time, it would be great if he could fix it. When i came to pick up my car, he replaced a part that was giving his diagnostics machine "error" messages and to my surprise, he also fixed this bent piece on the roof with this strong double-sided tape at no charge. I trust Joe and his shop with my 2008 A3 Audi as it nears 100,000 miles hoping to get another 75,000 miles out of my car. I am not the easiest to win over, and Joe and his shop has been wonderful. my brother gave me an invaluable recommendation when he discovered them by chance several years ago. read more

I want to first start by saying I really wanted to like this place. I purchased a one owner 39k S4 Audi for my wife the week before the C-19 shut down. This was an old lady car that was never driven on the freeway. There was NOT one scratch on this car. I know because I took the time to ceramic coat the entire car. The car was rarely driven due the C-19 shut down and garaged. I took the car to Zentrum for an oil change in August. I took the car home and washed it. I noticed there were scratches on the front bumper. I called Joe and told him about it. He said he'll look at the photos I emailed and he never replied. A week later someone lightly hit the rear bumper at a stop light and the car went to the Audi body shop for a new rear bumper paint. I showed them the scratches on the front bumper. The Audi paint technician response was that it had been touch up with paint. Not only did Zentrum scratch the bumper and denied it. They went out of the way to try to cover up the damage. I went there to talk to Joe, but he just denied it. I truly regret taking my car here. If you have nice cars do not take them here. read more

I had high hopes after my BMW came off its initial 4-year warranty that Zentrum would offer a level of service higher than the dealership, particularly as dealerships must also serve their critical relationships with those the manufacturers. Unfortunately, I found Zentrum to be very disorganized (and error-prone), unresponsive, and inconsistent. The guy who runs the BMW practice, Joe, was at the center of most of my disappointment. I gave up on trying to get a callback on some overdue work that we had discussed (that he kept forgetting about) and redirected my business to Bay Bridge Motors -(which is working out great). read more

I've taking my Mercedes for a service. After driving away from the shop the car started making a noise when i drive less than 10mph. A noise that wasn't there before I dropped it off. It's coming from under the car and it's not the break pads. They couldn't fix the problem when I took it back. Reason is we can't reproduce it (they didn't even drive the car to try to reproduce it). They didn't like it when I said the noise happened after the service and something you guys did. Another thing, they never call you back when they say they'll do.... Where to begin, I have an older Mercedes that has issues with the car shuddering and basically having issues accelerating. Like any Mercedes' owner the first place you usually veer towards is taking it to your usual dealership, this is where it gets interesting they were not able to replicate the issues I had with my vehicle and told me that I needed to replace a part that cost over 2k. Long story short I ended up forking the money over and in the end the issue was not resolved. After a horrendous ordeal at the stealership I went to a local auto repair near my workplace and although they were courteous and somewhat knowledgeable they simply did not know how to address and fix the issues with my car and I Ended up spending more $$$ for a problem that was not resolved.. long story short take your car to see Joe and Paula they know what they are doing and they specialize in other high end vehicles but this review is strictly for Mercedes'. Paula was polite and accommodating and professional and Joe has a vast amount of knowledge of car issues with Mercedes'. Took my car out of limp mode and was able to diagnose and FIX the issue. If you seek reasonable or trustworthy car service DO NO GO HERE. We had an awful experience here with an Audi A6, misdiagnosed, no itemized service cost just demanding a high flat fee. The "fixed" the problem and gave us back our car and within 5 minutes the fan was running and it almost overheated again. What a disaster, turned around the next day and they claimed they'd give us a deal and still charged 500$ ontop of the 4 figure bill we had just paid. They a few days later we notice the headlight was moving around unnaturally, they cost us close to 2k and they broke the headlamp housing!! We were fed up and decided to not even go back again. I am really stunned to why this place is getting mixed reviews. I'm thinking that because this place is highly visible from West Oakland BART, this place gets a flood of drivers who aren't much the enthusiast of German cars and are just plain clueless to what goes into the dedication and maintenance of such cars. I have read the other reviews, and have noticed the fist thing that people complain about are the so called "high" prices that they are quoted. Well, first off, if anyone does their homework on German cars... 1) they are not cheap 2) the parts are made with the best materials and standards 3) they require high maintenance 4) they are designed and test driven for the Autobahn in Germany....therefore see 1, 2 and 3. If people complain about high prices they are given for repairs, they need to check themselves and rethink whether they should drive a German car in the first place. Just because this shop is independent from the dealers, that doesn't mean you are going to save hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. The point is that, yes, you are going to get a lower price, but not by much. This shop is just an option away from the dealerships that avoids the hassles of the bureaucracy and lack of customer service that they give you. I have brought 3 cars to these guys since 2008, ranging from a 2005 MBZ c230 Kompressor, a 2004 BMW E46 Coupe and recently a 2008 Audi A4. I have never had any major problems with this shop or their prices. Also having a shuttle drive you to and from home or work is a huge benefit from the other shops that don't provide this.
