He found Glasstek, scheduled the appointment, and I dropped off my car on Monday, which was a holiday. Mo was there when I arrived around 11:30 AM. He is genuinely one of the nicest and most respectful people I've met. We chatted for a bit, and interestingly, I realized that about 14 years ago, I had my Camry windshield replaced at this same shop while waiting for my wife to pick me up. That level of consistency and longevity says a lot. I let Mo know I needed to head to San Jose and would be back around 5 PM to pick up the car. He was very understanding and accommodating. When I returned, the car looked like new again. The installation was flawless, and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. On top of that, the price was amazing, significantly better than every other place I checked, without compromising quality. Customer service like this is rare these days. Professional, honest, and truly caring. I'm very impressed and highly recommend Glasstek to anyone needing windshield replacement.

The windshield was cracked for about one foot long without any sign of hitting. So I reached out to the technician and he said it wasn't under any warranty unless it was due to workmanship or water leaking. At first, it sounded like they were not behind their product. So I said the windshield was faulty and cracked inside the car. However, he still didn't understand my point but keeping telling me that it wasn't covered if it was impacted by something like a rock. So I felt like I needed to talk to the manager and address my concerns. In addition, I requested a different brand in case they needed to replace it. After the appointment was set, the windshield had a couple more cracks just like the one before. So without a doubt, the shop had no problem to replace it at no cost. They also apologized that was the first time they had this faulty windshield. At the end, I am still thankful to find them. I'd definitely have given them 5 stars if they would have listened to me before making all sorts of assessment.

Sent out requests for quotes to glass repair shops in the Oakland/Alameda area at 9pm and got the bids in within a couple hours. For a Tesla 3 quarter window, I was quoted $800 by Tesla, $700 by Safelite, and local shops were quoting $580-$600. The difference was Tesla/Safelite only had appointments for 11 days out and all the local shops were able to see me almost immediately this morning. Almost pulled the trigger on another shop that was close by but Fast Mobile Glass came in though and undercut everyone's quote at $375 flat. They said I could come in immediately. I got in at 9am the next day (today), said it would take 30 minutes and ended up finishing in 15. They vacuumed all the glass, got everything replaced, and I was done faster than I could have ever expected it. The owner and the technicans were nice and gave me tips on trying to prevent another break in from happening again and tips about parking near trees for glass replacement on my car that they've seen happened to other people with their windshields. Got in and out in 20 minutes and was a pleasant experience overall. Thank you!

Gees, one thing got fixed and the other problem came up. Needless to say, I was not happy and I was getting concerned, because the crack was spreading quickly. I was afraid that I would not be able to get home without having the whole windshield cracked and in pieces. I also had some unexpected expenses few days prior and was not looking forward to spending around $500 on the new windshield. I searched Yelp and found this place, Susan's Windshield Repair in Alameda. OMG, the lady was so sweet. The moment she saw the most recent crack (had two others, but they were not spreading regardless of the weather conditions), she said she would need to fix it right away so it would not spread any more. She even rearranged her next appointment and gave her total attention to my windshield. I was relieved when she told me that she would be able to fix all three cracks for only $85. Wow, what a deal!!! It took approximately one hour and the windshield was fixed. There is a barely visible hairline where the most recent crack has spread, but she has informed me ahead of time that I will see some of it. Frankly, I was not as concerned about it. I just did not want it to spread, and I did not want to have to replace my windshield. I had two quotes on the other two cracks and both guys said that they would not be able to fix the cracks and I would have to replace the windshield. They gave me quotes for $480 and $530. However, the cracks did not impair my vision when I drove, and they did not spread, so I decided not to fix them until I got the most recent and a quickly spreading crack. Susan fixed all three cracks and so far nothing is spreading despite of the currently rainy weather. Thank you Susan!!! I could not be more grateful for her great quality work and such a speedy response. I highly recommend her services to anyone.

Susan can fix it in about 30 minutes, and at a fraction of the cost. If your ding looks anything like the photos on Yelp, she can fix it up so it looks like a small whitish dot. In my case, someone had tried to repair one of the larger cracks with a cheap kit you get at the local car parts store, so it was harder to fill it completely. Word of advice: don't mess around, go straight to the pros. Besides greatly reducing the visibility of the ding, Susan's repair also prevents it from growing. If you live near Alameda, you can drop off your car at her place, walk a few blocks to Park Street for a latte and scone, then return 30 minutes later and it will be all done. Nice!
