Explained the situation and they could not have been more helpful. They sent Gus out Monday afternoon who I met. He was amazing and got my sisters AC working again after replacing a few parts. Could not recommend any higher and will be using again.

UPDATE: To the owner: Please stop requesting that I contact…read moreyour office by phone to "work toward a resolution." A fair resolution was already bypassed when your company issued a $19,000 estimate to correct an airflow defect that should have been addressed during the initial installation. For the benefit of neighbors in the community researching system longevity, here is the verified chronological data regarding this equipment failure: 1 Installation History: This system was installed by Assurance approximately 6.5 years ago. It represents the second complete system purchased from this company since 2012, concluding over 20 years of continuous family account loyalty. 2 Premature Failure: The average operational lifespan of a properly configured residential condenser and coil is 15 to 20 years. This unit experienced a catastrophic mechanical failure at less than half of its expected service life. 3 Diagnostic Data: Independent diagnostic testing performed by ABT documented the system's total external static pressure (TESP) at 1.6 iwc. For context, standard residential HVAC equipment is designed to operate at or below 0.5 iwc. A reading of 1.6 indicates severe, chronic airflow restriction, which drastically accelerates component fatigue and compressor failure. 4 Root Cause: This elevated static pressure was caused by an undersized return air drop and uncorrected ductwork constraints at the point of installation. An Assurance technician on-site explicitly confirmed that this original return air configuration was never properly modified or expanded when the higher-capacity equipment was installed. 5 Operational Variables: Regarding the owner's public note about home modifications or maintenance: no structural changes have been made to the property, and filter replacement intervals have been strictly maintained. High static pressure of this magnitude is a fundamental mechanical engineering defect from Day 1, not a maintenance variable. 6 Market Comparison: Following the $19,000 quote from Assurance to replace the dead equipment and fix the ductwork, a competitive bid was secured through ABT. ABT successfully re-engineered the return air drop to correct the static pressure, completed the full installation, and included a 10-year parts and labor warranty with 24/7 service coverage. The total cost for this premium, fully warranted package was lower than Assurance's baseline option. This review, including the verified 1.6 iwc static pressure metric, will remain posted as a matter of consumer record so local homeowners can accurately evaluate installation quality and pricing metrics before investing in new equipment

HVAC Professor is extremely reasonable with its pricing. They were extremely prompted for our appointment time scheduled. Angel and Juan did an Awesome job cleaning all our vents completely in an hour and one half. Angel and Juan were both very courteous and respectful working around our home. DO NOT HIRE. If I could give zero stars, I would. I originally hired Duct Professor to fix my home…read moreAC, and they ended up charging me over $1,300 for six incredibly frustrating visits, a string of misdiagnoses, and unauthorized repairs. The first two technicians they sent spent hours troubleshooting but completely failed to find the issue. Instead of properly diagnosing the system, they installed a non-OEM control board without my knowledge or consent. This unauthorized part risked causing further damage to my electrical system through power fluctuations. When that didn't fix the AC, they guessed the AC contactor was the problem and replaced it twice to no avail. It wasn't until the sixth visit that a senior tech finally came out and identified the actual root cause: a damaged low-voltage power line leading from the AC to the house. This is a fundamental issue that should have been caught on day one. Dealing with a broken AC in the middle of summer is hard enough, but enduring a dragged-out, six-visit ordeal with a newborn baby in the house made their incompetence a complete nightmare. Ultimately, because they left my system compromised, I had to hire an entirely different, independent HVAC company to actually fix the problem. To make matters worse, I sent a detailed email to Duct Professor management outlining these failures and requesting a refund for the misdiagnoses and unauthorized parts. They completely ignored me. No follow-up, no apology, no attempt to make it right. Save your money, your time, and your sanity--look elsewhere.

Had furnace go out sunday. Called them and was told since line is frozen they would come on…read moreMonday. That would not be an emergency call. Man showed up at 8:03 am. Looked in furnace cabinet and did a test and said the circuit board was bad. I knew I could buy OEM circuit board for about $80. I asked how much to replace the board he said $761.00. I asked if I could get a discount and that I know the circuit board he could get was under $80 with his discount. He said that was the price. Since it was going to get hot I said ok. He drove to local parts store and came back and installed board in about 10 minutes. BY 9:00 am he was leaving. That means He made almost $700 for an hours work and that includes the travel time. Talked to owner Kraig and asked why so much and he said he has over head and the van they use cost him over $60,000. and there was nothing he could do about the price. That is what they charge for a circuit board replacement. Part and labor is guaranteed for one year. If It breaks I will call them but will not call for anything else in the future. Neighbor came over the next day and said he needs furnace and air conditioner replaced and wanted to know if I knew anyone. I told him I just paid about $700 for one hours work with I guy I used but would not recommend anyone when I just paid about $700 an hours labor. When you gouge you loose and people find out and there goes the business. Place does good work but way overpriced. The part On line was not a used or aftermarket part. It was an OEM replacement part. Where you bought the part at Berkheimer in Arlington hts they sell the part to you for less than what I paid for the item. not 2.5 time that price. Even if part cost $200 you still are making $561.00 for 1 hour of labor which includes the time to travel and get the part. I could argue with you all day but it is not worth it, you overcharge for labor period! All the people that ask me for a referral will know you over charge for labor.
