The owner came out to check on us and she was so kind, hospitable and shared some history with us on how Lola Betty's came to be. From food truck to walk up, she said that some people really preferred or hoped for a sit down restaurant. I don't have a preference. I only love the soul and passion that is poured into one's food. Love, soul and passion can be found here. The owner says, "I just really wanted a place where you can really be attentive and really take the time to cook the food the way it should be made". I placed an order for 6 large trays of food two days in advance. I believe you can call to order, but I contacted them via Facebook Messenger which was super convenient. The market itself is small with a limited selection of Filipino ingredients, condiments, and snacks, but it's very clean and well-organized! Service was impeccable; everything was ready to pick up in a timely manner, and the trays came seran-wrapped, covered in foil, and placed in boxes to keep the food warm and prevent spillage. All the workers there are super nice -- one of them even helped load the heavy trays into my car :) Everything was delicious, ESPECIALLY their homemade lumpia (which comes with the sweet chili sauce on the side).
