What a wonderful dining experience. Bee was our amazing server and host and she provided stellar service as did the chefs who were very kind and friendly. We started with drinks and soups. My wife had the hot and sour with tofu and I had the wonton with chicken. So yummy! We then ordered our entrees with beef with vegetables and Kung pao chicken. I'd give this 1/2 a star, not for the food alone, but for the response--which was insulting, inaccurate, and unnecessarily presumptuous. 1. I'm Chinese. I've been around lemongrass, ginger, and layered spices my entire life--likely longer than the person lecturing me. To suggest I "don't understand spices" is not only wrong, it's frankly offensive. 2. I ordered drunken noodles. I am fully aware of the difference between chow mein (which I even laughed at) and flat wide rice noodles. Explaining my own order to me as if I were confused is insulting and wildly presumptive. 3. If I wanted soup or a different dish altogether, I would have ordered it--or driven a little farther to Rachada Moorpark or anywhere along Sherman Way, where Thai restaurants somehow manage to get both flavor and humility right. 4. As a business owner, the correct response would have been a simple apology. Instead, I was told what I supposedly ordered, why it wasn't wrong, and what I "should" order next time. That's not accountability--that's deflection. Drunken noodles are a basic, foundational dish. If you get that wrong, there's no backpedaling--just like fried rice at a Chinese restaurant. Some dishes are benchmarks. Miss them, and there's nowhere to hide. I'll be going back to Luv2Eat or Ratchada. Same price point. Vastly better execution--and respect. read more

We walked in about 30 minutes before the lunch service ended, a little concerned we might be rushed since the restaurant closes at 2:30 PM. However, from the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Our waitress was especially kind and reassured us that we could take our time and enjoy our meal. Our food was ready in about 15 minutes and arrived hot and fresh. The lunch Pad Thai was flavorful and had a little bit of everything. The side salad was a pleasant surprise, it was crispy, fresh, and well-dressed. The egg roll was tasty with a nice crunch and not too oily. Enjoyed the Thai street food videos playing on the TV! Papaya salad was yummy and fresh; the cabbage decoration was a little odd, but we ended up eating it anyway. Tofu khao soi was super delicious! I love it when restaurants have the option of fried vs soft tofu (I went for soft). Could have used a bit more lime, and I wanted the noodle texture to be bouncier, but i've flaky yummy. Chicken pad thai was good, a little wetter and sweeter than the average pad thai. The chicken felt like it was cooked on its own and kind of mixed in, so it was a bit on the dry side. What a treat! :) I had an intense craving for a comforting soup so I opted to try this spot with one of my friends. All of the staff are pleasant and the service was great. I ordered the Khao Soi with regular chicken (had my eyes set on it from the beginning) and my friend got the drunken noodles. Disclaimer: this was my first time trying Khao Soi so I don't really have a benchmark for this dish, but I felt like it met my standards based on the Thai food I've had over the years! The soup was bursting with flavor and very creamy. I loveddddd the pak gad dong (pickled mustard greens) which added such a brightness to the whole dish. The noodles were cooked well and had a bouncy texture which I liked. One note is that my friend's drunken noodles had practically no spice, even though she ordered it mild, so just keep that in mind when you order. A great meal overall! read more

My go to usually is yellow curry in Oak View but I felt that flavor wasn't the same still good but better in Oak View. The edamame spicy was def a favorite and so was the tom Kha Soup. Had the crispy chicken lunch special with eggroll and red rice. Honestly, for $17 it was not really worth it. You can take a look at the chicken, it's just like popcorn chicken, not special. The "salad" was spring mix with some dressing. Eggroll was nothing special. The reviews for this place are so high so I had high expectations. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but this was not it. I am so happy that we have another delicious and fresh Thai spot in Camarillo. I had driven by their Oak Park location a few times so was familiar to the name by the time they made it here to Camarillo. Happy to have them! Being a bit under the weather I opted to get take out from them as some comforting soup and rice sounded much needed. Ordering online was a breeze. It's very convenient that they have an online system but you could easily call as well. I was also impressed how quickly they were able to get my food together. Only seemed to take about 15 minutes and when I arrived for pickup the food was all ready to go and nicely packaged. This is definitely a good spot for takeout. The inside of the restaurant is darling. Very clean and lots of tables for when you care to dine in. When I walked in I was greeted immediately by a very friendly girl. Looks like a nice place to stay and eat. The food was overall pretty good. I was very happy with my choices and how fresh everything tasted. This is definitely a tasty Thai spot in Camarillo and I urge you all to give them a try. I went with some of my classic favorite dishes and sides. Tom Kha Soup: 4.5/5 stars. Chicken Fried Rice: 4/5 stars. Pork Pad See Ew: 4/5 stars. The only reason I couldn't give a full five stars at this time is more because of the pricing. It was very tasty food so I happily paid what was the rate but when looking at the amount of food I got for my money it just reminds me that prices are going up everywhere and that the cost of ingredients and paying staff a wage will make eating out more of a luxury. I ordered essentially fried rice, one noodle dish, and a small soup. The cost was $40+. Again, not terrible but when I think about what I got for the price it just means this place wouldn't be on my regular rotation. The good news is they do have some lunch specials that I saw online so that's probably going to be an even better value and something I would consider in the future. Walking to luv pho n more next door, I caught a glimpse of this new restaurant. "Huh, I've never seen this store before." To Yelp did I take flight. OM Thai cuisine on Yelp looks tantalizingly good. Wow, it just opened! After looking at the Yelp reviews, I've decided to place an order over the phone for drunken noodles with pork as my protein; hold the mushroom. The lady on the phone call was nice but difficult to hear me, with broken English. She also placed me on hold for 2 minutes and asked for my number, name, food item, and reminded me that this location is in Camarillo. I arrived and paid for it. Walking home, I couldn't wait to try these noodles that is reminiscent of crybaby noodles as seen in the movie "Hunger." It tasted AMAZING. I've never tasted anything this scrumptious. The noodles were al dente, along with bell paper and onions. I could taste the garlic and Thai flavors infused within the noodles. The pork was good but not as great as the NOODLES! It was a generous portion for a take out order as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is rather small, yet stylish. It has a black interior design with not a lot of tables. However, it seemed modern and hip. Surprising to see such a modern design in this plaza. The Chinese place next to toppers (behind this store) has very antiquated design. Though the drunken noodles wasn't cheap ($17) total, the food was better than any Thai place I've tried in all of Ventura county! It's mainly due to the flavors and how it came piping hot even when I opened it at home in the take out container. I can't wait to try the pineapple fried rice which is similar in pricing. I was checking in on my friend's mom and brought her here as a treat--we were so impressed. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. We had beef fried rice, cucumber salad, Thom Kha soup, and yellow curry with whole grain rice. All of it was delicious and clearly made with care. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I'm not from the area and trusted yelp to guide me. The restaurant is clean and calm with comfortable tables. The Thai iced tea with boba was the perfect finish--sweet, creamy, and just right. The service was quick and friendly and I've heard good things about the Oak View location, so I'm glad there's one closer now. The papaya salad, chicken satay, and Pad Thai were pretty tasty. Something different here is that they offer glass noodles as an option for the Pad Thai, which is neat! I was also excited to see two items I haven't seen much of -- drunken noodles and larb pork -- on the menu, so I'll definitely be back to try them next time. I'm usually not a fan of Thai restaurants but I'm a fan of this restaurant. Most Thai restaurants serve dumbed down versions of Thai dishes and you end up with what tastes like Chinese food with a bit of basil and tomatoes added. From the moment you sit down, you'll notice the four small jars of spice, picked Serrano peppers, Thai chilies in fish sauce, cayenne pepper, and sambal -- only a place that caters to real Thai food fanatics would see a need for so many ways to clean out your colon. I saw Thai beef jerky on the menu and knew that I'd found the Holy Grail of Thai restaurants. The waitress looked at me with both admiration and fear, she knew that I knew that was THE dish. The jerky was perfectly seasoned and is served with a side of sticky rice and a heavenly dipping sauce. The dipping sauce is a thick sweet, tangy sauce topped with chopped shallots, cilantro, green onions, and dusted with toasted rice powder -- that's how you spell AUTHENTIC. The service was friendly and the kitchen is open so you can watch them cook. The chef takes a lot of pride in his cooking. And the prices aren't bad. I'll definitely be back. read more

Once I realized this new Thai restaurant had opened there was no doubt I needed to stop by as I had been waiting for it since knowing it was coming soon. Upon entering you can see it was a small cozy restaurant, I was immediately greeted and seated right away. I had the crispy egg rolls, it was flavorful enough that I didn't even need to dip it in the sauce. The papaya salad was also very good, the sweet lime dressing made it extra yummy. The drunken noodle was very tasty and remained hot throughout the whole meal. I was surprised to still see some steam as I was scooping the leftovers into a takeout container. The young man was nice and provided great service. We ordered chicken salad and seafood platter. They're great except my seafood platter doesn't have that much seafood. For $26 I expected more. I had 3 small strips of fish, 3 mussels, 1 scallop, 1 piece of shrimp, and 5 strips of squid. The sauce was good. I remembered eating seafood platter from a Thai resto in Thousand Oaks and that serving was huge. I ended up taking some leftovers home. Also their water had an aftertaste. A cozy new restaurant with pleasant Thai decor. It was busy at lunch and we had to tell them we were ready for our order to be taken. All the food was excellent. We enjoyed the mild red curry, green curry and chicken chow mein lunch specials. The entrees were served with a green salad, egg roll and fresh fruit in a beautiful bento box. OM Thai is the best Thai food my family and I enjoyed the most out of all the one we have in Orange County. My daughter had pad thai with whole piece of salmon on top. She loves it. My wife and I had Pad Ka Pow, excellent dish, but I could use more basil leaf. Us three also share the Crab Fried Rice, can't find anything wrong with this disk either. The chef definitely deserves a big applause. Each of the dishes are cook to perfection. The portion for each of the dish can feed 3 people. The server is a very nice lady. This is our first time here, by accident but really luck out to walk in an excellent restaurant. The place is small, about 10 table but very clean. To follow up on my previous review, the owner Laddawan was very kind and apologetic for my previous experience. I returned today for lunch and tried the Khao Soi which is one of my favorite Thai dishes. The food came out right away and had a great smell and flavor. The noodles were well made and had a nice density. The downside was the inclusion of raw red onions that felt and tasted like they didn't not belong. Also a pretty small bowl and portion compared to Empty Bowl Noodle which is by far the best Khao Soi I've ever had. read more

We finally tried this place Friday night and had a good experience. Interior is small with maybe 12 tables, very clean, and friendly server. We ordered the broccoli oyster sauce, garlic edamame, cucumber salad and crying tiger beef dish. Edamame was very good, great garlic flavor, would order again. The broccoli oyster was also very good, and had a good amount of sauce with it. The tiger beef comes with sticky rice and a sauce on the side. Possibility we were unsure how to eat this dish. Some of the beef was very chewy. Overall a good experience. One down side is the timing of the dishes coming out. Our main dishes came out at 2 different times by almost 15 minutes. And our side cucumber salad came out after we finished our meal. We will give this place another go. read more
