Breakfast was decent for a free breakfast, but the real gem is that they had gluten-free options. I was so impressed I took a picture to show my gluten-free roommate. There was construction on the road outside when we visited, which made turning left slightly difficult, but not too bad. The front desk service was wonderful and helped with the few things we asked for. Overall, would stay again. Good quality for the price.

They said they would check while we were gone for the day but same problem the next morning - lukewarm water was the best you could get out of the shower.

The Acorn cabin had a 3/4 size fridge but the smaller cabins like Driftwood had a mini fridge. The cabins seemed to be maybe on the newer side, very well craftsmanship of the cabin itself- true log cabin! Even the upstairs wasn't squeaky and felt very sturdy! Each front porch was adorable and good to gather at night and each had a fire pit outside. Note: the Driftwood and The Hideout really are only meant for two adults and 2 kids. The "loft" is climbing a folding up ladder (very sturdy and solid, but somewhat like climbing into an attic) where you crawl into a loft that has space only for 2 mattresses on the floor. Kids would enjoy it (but maybe be scared to coming down), but very small if another adult wanted to use it. Also note the bathroom is in the bedroom for these 2 cabins. A few improvements could have been made to the interiors. All the furniture and decor seemed to be very old. While still functional, they just looked, smelled, and felt like they'd been used for a very very long time. A bit unusual since it did seem like the cabins were newer! The other thing to know is these are not back of the woods. You are right of the main Street and can hear cars go by. If you want seclusion and peace these may not be for you. If you want a place to grab your friends and get together for a weekend then it's perfect!

They are close but you have some room. There is a toaster and a microwave and mini fridge. I forgot to ask and there was no self service to buy wood but there are fire pits. Firefly seems to have the best set up fire pit location. On air bnb it said Firefly but there is an identical cabin next door that is called Pine and we stayed there. Coffee pot and filters, hand& dish soap, trash bags, TP and plenty of towels.I had my own Scott towels and coffee. There is some road noise at night not bad,in the morning (a Friday) it was super busy at 6 am. Overall I would stay here again last minute like we did. Nice if you are visiting the dunes sightseeing and beats a crappy hotel by alot!

We were pleasantly surprised at how modern the room was. Everything felt brand new and was decorated so wonderfully. The couple that owns the Inn are very kind and helpful. After check-in, we didn't even see them unless we went downstairs specifically to talk to them. What I loved was that each room has it's own private entrance and balcony. The coffee/wet bar was great. When we checked in, we found a bottle of wine, brie and crackers in our room. Every morning we had wonderful scones waiting by our door. They provide both regular and decaf coffee, espresso and an assortment of teas. I loved going in their backyard and watching the koi. They have a jar of food you can toss in. Watch out though. That pond is a breeding ground for swarms of maneating mosquitos!!! We're thinking of going back each year on our anniversary we enjoyed our stay so much!

Also, the locks from the dining room to the outside don't work/lock. We stayed here with grandparents, parents and seven kids. When we checked out the owners charged our credit card again claiming we had vandalized the house (vomit, wine stains, blood everywhere, furniture damage). I repeatedly requested proof via email and phone calls. No response! The only time they responded they threatened me with a lawyer. Be sure to take pictures before and after your stay, maybe even shutdown the credit card promptly to prevent further charges. My room was a birch room and was very spacious since I was the only guest. It contains a separate bath off the bedroom which made it an en-suite. The tv worked and there was a small fireplace in the room which emitted heat if you needed it. The design of the shower did not suit the bathroom because it needed to be deeper. Too much water escapes and gets on the floor. The blinds and microwave need cleaning - desperately. Hopefully, that will get done. Sleeping at night was great because it was very quiet. Overall, a great stay at the inn. That part-time housekeeper needs to get hired to make it excellent!!!

You get extra privacy with the separate entrance and building, as opposed to other B&Bs where you're in a central house. Bill's and the other cabin are totally free standing, the other units are all one long building with separate outdoor entrances. The main lobby/ house area is a few steps away and where breakfast is served as well as where you can grab soda or bottled water at any hour. There's also a lot of local brochures and an awesome DVD collection. We stayed over the rainiest weekend of all time. The cabin was cozy and we certainly enjoyed that amazing DVD collection- something for everyone. There is wifi which seemed a tad slow, but given the location and weather I was not surprised by that. The cabin stayed toasty even though we didn't turn up the thermostat or light the wood stove. The hot tub was quite nice for an evening when it finally stopped raining for an hour. Bill's Cabin is totally adorable in its rustic décor, and we absolutely loved the cat theme too! We were also told the cabins are pet friendly. Breakfast in the morning is great- pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit (HUGE honey crisp apples!!), juice, coffee. Great company with other guests and the owner, AJ. When we arrived the first night (around 8pm due to crazy weather), AJ was waiting and ready to give us a little tour. He even directed us to some local restaurants that would still be serving dinner. Location is a short drive to all the tourist locations and just a couple blocks from the lake. While I'm usually very frugal, I felt White Rabbit Inn was well worth the expense and we plan to come back for our first anniversary.

Housekeeping never came to my room during my stay. No drawers in the whole place to store clothes, only a closet with about 5 hangers. No water in the lobby. The good The standard king room does include a microwave and a fridge, I was able to choose my room number using the rewards program. Front desk was nice.

This is a great hotel for the price. I most offer a disclaimer and say this would be a 5-star…read morerating, but it just doesn't feel right since hotels already have a rating system and this was not on 5-star standards, but was a 4-star for a 3-star price! I have stayed here once for business and already booked three separate weeks in December. As a point of reference, I will be comparing this hotel to a few different Hampton Inns I have stayed at. They are both in the same price range, both owned by a major hotel chain and both offer free breakfast. The lobby is by far the nicest out of any hotel I have stayed in for it's price range. There is a huge flatscreen located to the side of the front desk near the elevators that continually shows news and weather updates. This is great for a quick glance on the way out to see how the weather is going to be. This is by far the best free breakfast I have had. They have multiple options available, and they are not just cereal. They have the ability to make waffles, something that seems standard now in a free hotel breakfast. I was shocked to see they also offered those microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. They had 5 different varieties to choose from, so if you choose one of every day of the week. They also had an assortment of fruits and yogurt. My favorite by far was the prepackaged fruit. They had Del-Monte grapefruit with no sugar added, which means minimal sugar. I am a huge grapefruit fan so I approved! Next, hallways leading to the rooms are nice as well. They do not have the same boring carpet that every hotel has. I specifically remember the black and florescent green carpet. When you remember carpet, the hotel must have been impressive. The room itself was pretty standard I feel. They had nice 32in LG flatscreens in every room. One thing many hotels surprisingly don't offer is high definition channels for all of those nice TV's they have. The Fairfield Inn is the exception. I was shocked, yet again! (See the common theme?) This hotel won me over when I went to check the bathroom and notice the shower was the size of a normal bathtub. Again, shocked! The shower had a large glass door too, which really gave it a futuristic look. The only drawback was the "U" shaped handle on the outside was broke on the top. (another reason to justify a non 5-star rating) The bathroom countertops were completely granite. Another shock was the Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner. Name brand toiletries in this type of hotel was completely unexpected. Clearly one of the best features of this hotel was the location in relation to the Notre Dame campus. I am not a fan, but it was pretty cool to see the stadium across the street out of my window. Also, right next to the hotel is Eddy Street commons with a few bar and dining options. Overall, this hotel was great. If you are going to be there for an extended period of time, get the long-stay studio. The fridge and microwave are worth it!

Great location just across the street from University of Notre Dame (you can see the football stadium from the motel and walk over there). There is also a mixed-use, retail/residential development next door (some stores open...others still in the process of opening), which is handy if you want to grab some quick take-out burgers, pizza, or tacos. This development also has a nice Notre Dame bookstore with a small coffee shop...so you can walk over and pick up a T-shirt or ice tea. We booked one of the small suites, which had a nice little sitting area with a sofa bed, chair, and flat-screen television. There was a second flat-screen TV in the sleeping area. Other nice amenities included free wireless Internet ($5 per day for higher speed wireless, although the free wireless worked just fine for us), free parking, and a decent breakfast with the room. The common areas were attractive, spacious, and had wireless access as well. The room decor was sleek and modern--a good bit nicer than your standard chain motel decor. The pool was a bit small, but I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to schlep through the lobby in my swimsuit to get to it. This motel is right on a main road, but it was surprisingly quiet in the room. Traffic noise was not an issue...and we really heard very little of the heavy rain and thunderstorms they had in the area during our stay.
