I had a list of 8 issues related to my home's plumbing that needed repair, so I called the top 3 plumbing companies on yelp. We called and we reached the owner immediately! He gave us a price quote on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment later that same morning. Robert has been great to work with. I've engaged him for two projects, so this is a review for both: Background: Problem #1: The house is located in an area where hard water is pretty severe. I didn't want to install a water softener because that would change the mineral makeup of the water. Instead I purchased a ScaleBlaster device but it requires at least a 6" straight copper pipe from the main valve to the house and all I had was galvanized steel. Resolution #1: Robert punctually arrived and found that main valve from the city main to the house was old and brittle and broke when he tried to shut off the water to the house. The city had to be called in and fix it. They fixed it and Robert came back out with zero complaints and replaced the old galvanized steel circle valve with a nice brass valve with a lever and provided enough copper pipe into the house for me to install the ScaleBlaster and my hard water problems are gone. He was a complete professional about the whole affair. Problem #2: When I bought my house I had the kitchen and two bathrooms remodeled by a contractor who shall remain as "A". The original kitchen didn't have a gas line for the stove, so when we remodeled and selected a gas stove/oven combo, A installed a new gas line under the house. It was found lying on the ground and not properly supported and A had drilled a gigantic hole in the foundation to put the gas pipe down. Resolution #2: Robert punctually arrived and patched the foundation and took the old furnace gas line and attached it to the stove. It was a clean job and very professionally done. I highly recommend Robert for his commitment to integrity. He wants to do the job right and isn't content with sloppy work. read more

My new go-to plumber is Ramez at Quality Plus Plumbing. I needed a bathroom sink snaked (so I thought), and I needed my outdoor spigot fixed as it would spew water when I tried to connect a new garden hose. Admittedly, I first called San Jose Drain & Main (SJDM) as they had more reviews and 5stars, however, SJDM gave me a ridiculous bid and quoted $125 to snake a the sink and said it would be a separate charge to look at the outdoor spigot. I hung up and called Quality Plus - who had the same charge $125 but said it would include both issues. Best yet, Ramez was able to respond and come out same day. Fixed my bathroom sink issue (didn't even need to be snaked) AND replaced my outdoor pipe and spigot. Both for $125! Awesome!!! We had Ramez came to our home to connect sink oulet pipe to the waste pipe with P trap. He did a very good job. He also came with reasonable estimation. We also asked him to fix the drain clog in our bathroom sinks. Because there are two sinks connected, it's very hard to push the snake into the middle connection pipe. He tried many times and still couldn't get it through. He suggested we used some chemicals from Home Depot. If it still can't solve the issue, he has another way to cut open the wall and get to the clogged pipe behind the mirror. We decided to try the chemicals first. But we complete understand our issue is not easy to solve and he tried his best effort. I'll definitely be calling Quality Plus Plumbing again for future pluming works. read more

I needed to swap out the guts of a toilet that I had received replacement parts for as part of a manufacturer's recall. I called Quality Plus, and Ramez said he could come right over. He arrived in under 15 minutes, and after seeing what the job was, he notified me he would charge a standard minimum rate, which I agreed to. He quickly handled the job, including replacing the supply line to prevent future leaks. He and his partner were very careful not to damage anything, and they did not leave a mess. I also asked for and received some good advice about my water heater and a possible water softener installation. My neighborhood in Santa Clara has very hard water, and the newer water softener technology attracted me - it doesn't waste a lot of water like the old salt-based solutions. I contacted many plumbers for a repair in a rental unit, and Shibli, the owner of Quality Plus Plaumbing had the best solution to fix a valve that would not require breaking existing tiles, placing an ugly huge plate, or remodeling. We had a nightmare left in our house a few days ago by another plumber sent to us by our warranty company. This plumber made a plumbing leak worse, left us with unusable shower, then the warranty company refused to cover the additional damages.
