My truck was brought in today due to problems with the tire scraping upon the fender which could result in a very hazardous situation if kept unattended. Well Robbie was open and honest and helped me correct the situation even before u arrived to the shop. It was a simple fix, but other individuals would take advantage of the situation and charge an arm and a leg. Robbie said he didn't need anything and said that it was something simple and he was just happy to help. Im having a really hard time writing this review because I feel as if this company had good intentions at first and the saw a cash grab the second time I came back. Back story because we need all the details... I brought my car in sometime in March or feb of this year for a check engine light. I went to 3 different shops, one saying they didn't want to work on the car because they weren't sure they could accurately fix the issue. another place charged an outrageous amount to fix this issue and this place seemed like the most reasonable and confident. Issue was a camshaft replacement. Which in there words was "open heart" surgery on my car. Fine! fix it and ill pay. I believe repairs were around 3-4k. he said the work was warrantied. Cool! Took the car home about a little over 3 weeks later. I started to notice issues with acceleration and shifting. In late mid June I unfortunately ripped my bumper off parking too close to a cement parking block (I underestimated how low the car sits, that was my bad.) Took the car back and when we turned on the car to take it in a check engine light came back on. we all anticipated it being a sensor issue due to the bumper being off. Mid July is finally when the mechanic (ROBBIE) said, "hey, I'll replace the bumper for free. no problem.. but I do have to replace another part in your engine that's going to cost over 3k." Fine! its a luxury car, I know its expensive but lets fix it. So he replaced the part. I made sure to ask that this issue had nothing to do with the previous work he did. he said no! He then called a week later and said an update needed to be done on the car after replacing the part. told me he took it to the Mercedes dealership for the rest of the work that he was covering! I was given the run around for another 2 weeks where I finally had to call the Fletcher Jones Import dealership where he took it to get the status of the "update" on my car. That led me into another issue where the mechanic there said, he was replacing the camshaft and that he was "doing a favor for Robbie, so that neither of us had to pay anything." At this point I realized someone was lying and I was likely being charged for warrantied work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At this point both fletcher jones and this place was strong arming me and not releasing my car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have the car back and it still works mediocre and only got $500 off the price for the "confusion" im seeking legal advice because clearly this was a scam and im hoping I can prevent this from happening to someone else. sorry for the long post.. for more details about Fletcher Jones and their part I also left a review there. read more

I had some concerns regarding my 1993 190e Sportline after picking up from another service shop. I tried calling the shop but was still on vacation and not returning till Jan 3. I was desperate to speak to a mechanic as I was planning to drive the car 600 miles back to Bay Area tonight. I searched other Mercedes shops via Yelp and found Robbie at Quality Star Benz. I was happy that Robbie (owner) picked up the phone even though his shop was closed today too. He felt my desperation and was willing to hear my concerns regarding the car. I explained 3 separate items and assured me that each was not too concerning and should be ok to drive. He was very patient with me and provided enough explanation for me to feel comfortable driving the car home. He even told me "safe travels home". At the beginning of our vacation we broke down on the I-15 headed into Vegas in our Mercedes Sprinter Motor Home. I called around to see who could see us without an appointment and [[HIGHLIGHT]]Robbie said "Sure, have it towed in an they would work us in".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The next morning we met Fred at 8:15, by 10:30 they had diagnosed that we needed a new Fan/Clutch to take care of the motor overheating. They ordered the part which was delivered by 12:30, Fred installed the part and we were back on the road by 4:45. These two gentlemen were extremely helpful, the price of the repair was fair, and we appreciated how quickly they were able to get us back on the road. I took my spit shined 2002 Mercedes SL500 in because the covetable top was not working properly, they charged me $400 for the inspection but would be credited towards the repairs, two days later they told me the car was ready, I paid the $400 plus for the repairs but when I got it home I found that the problem was not fixed. I took it back the next day and there it sat for almost a month (outside) and they did nothing! I picked is up told them what I thought of them and that I will either fix it myself or take it to someone who knows what they are doing. I owned a national automotive repair franchise in California and I just moved to Nevada so I am not sure about their legal requirements but my repair order shows no License number, no vin number and no odometer readings, just make and model. read more

Charged $225 for a "diagnostic" that was never done. The car was never moved from where I parked it on the lot of cars and wanted $3000 for a front strut job. I implore you to NEVER use them. When I came to pick my car up, it was quite literally up against another car. my dad brought his car here they said itd be done the day of and it wasnt. he had to keep calling and bothering them to see if it was done then finally he just left it alone and they closed without saying anything. the next day they said the same thing that it would be done that day and again, they didnt communicate with him at all. he had to bother them to which at 5:30 (right before closing) they told him its too hot for them to do the service. so i guess they just dont work on cars during the summer??? in vegas??? anyway he told them he's over it just give the car back and now he's stuck paying $200 for the diagnostics and broken promises. worthless place to go. seems like they sit around and twiddle their thumbs all day until people yell at them. **EDIT** im writing this as we sit and wait for them to give my dad his car back and guess what? just like my dad said "watch we're gonna get there then all of a sudden its gonna be done" cause he told them on the phone never mind. so yea. like we thought. just sitting around procrastinating and lying to people. and had the audacity to tell him "oh we didnt know you needed to go out of town today" uhhh??? it doesnt matter cause you all said itd be done YESTERDAY! anyways. dont go here save your money AND time. read more

Another Rip-off ! I left my prized 1979 280ZX with this business for a driver's door latch. They left the car out side when I was told it would be kept inside. For weeks they claimed the part was hard to find, after several weeks I took it on myself to locate a part in Arizona for $32. I informed these idiots I located the part.Then when I mentioned where to call and get a delivery time for this to come together they claimed they already found the part, the car would be ready in a couple of days. When calling me the car was fixed. I went to pick up my Z. The bill was over $800. Your so called wonderful Robbie was there stretched out on the sofa so I could see he was armed. I have a severe case of PTSD from being with Lima Co. 75th Rangers in Nam in 1969 and 101st Airborne in 1968. My first response was not the correct one, I just paid cash and left. My 280ZX was all scratched up by their jump starter on the front right panel and beer bottle caps under the seat. I don't drink and have owned this car for over 41yrs. I have pictures of this car if anyone doubts me. This shop is the pits I strongly advise not to do business with these MORONS. I've had thoughts and discussed this with my mental health Doctors at the VA. I was congratulated for doing the right thing. So people beware, I was present at the shop for about 3 days every week, believe me for what I saw these idiots did to other people's car. They should never receive a star unless you are a moron. I called the parts house in Arizona to verify where and when my part was bought, what price and where it was sent. They remembered it was me that called first. And labor couldn't be but an hour at the most. I know most people nowadays are not informed or have the knowledge of how the automobile is mechanical put together. But old timers like me that wrenched cars in the 50s and 60s DO. If you're asking why didn't I fix the car myself, my time in Nam has made me unable to do many things these days. Complaint On April 1, 2023 my vehicle was taken to Quality Star on Azure regarding repairs. The appointment was booked through repair pal / CarMax because the vehicle was purchased from CarMax less than a year ago. At 9am my vehicle was brought in. The mechanic on site took my keys and had me fill out entry forms. I told the mechanic my check engine light was on due to the PCV value. And also I wanted windshield wipers replaced on 2016 Mercedes GLC 300. At approximately 11:19 am I received a phone call stating my vehicle was being taken to the sister shop (Quality Star Benz) on Rancho. It was stated that my vehicle had to be hooked up to a machine that is only at that location. After several hours pass and no calls or messages, I called the shop at 4pm to follow up on the status of my vehicle. The manager Robbie answered. I asked for an update on my vehicle. He proceeded to tell me they were closed but yet he had answered the phone and that he couldn't help me or do anything until Monday morning. I inquired about why I wasn't told that they were closing and were keeping my vehicle. He then lied about knowing where my vehicle was. I asked was it at the Azure location or Rancho location. He could not give me a direct answer. His excuse was he wasn't there all day. He yelled several times at me while on the phone and proceeded to tell me I would be charged for diagnosing my vehicle all though I had told the Mechanic what the problem was. He also told me that my vehicle doesn't have a PCV valve which it does and that's the problem. He then went on to diagnose my Vehicle which I'm concerned on how that could have been done if he stated he wasn't at the shop. I really don't think I should be charged for any fees especially after them keeping my vehicle for over 24 hours with no notice at all to me. Below is the response the business manager Robbie on BBB. Just read it and you'll see exactly how they chose to conduct business. Also I just wasn't to say all mechanics were very nice and respectful. The guy that called me before Robbie did and the the guy that called me Monday morning 4/3/2023 we very nice. It was only ROBBIE who needs to go to a customer service class or two. 4/3/2023 MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS: hi to whom it may concern / vehicle came in on satruday for a diag, when you diag vehicle it dose take time  usually but what the problem her she call and want her car back beacuse we close at  2.00 pm and she didnt know at the time  we close at two pm when she call after hours i guess she call the shop it forwarded to my cell phone she said went hear vehicle back after hours  i said i am sorry we close at two said she needed her car  back  she new what time we close its posted on the website  carmax new also what we time  close but the issue her she dont want to pay for diag even or after the fact she said this moring the warranty she have on her vehicle that warranty will pay for so i dont what the issue is butalso i new she said she diag the vehicle else where for pvc which that on 1970 car not on benz so when she call i explain that to her  came in the morning check email for none sence lol . fpr a complain that could be solved the issuse when she came in i have call customer this morning and told her what the issue is said she have a warranty from car max . then said great but then said she dont wnat us look at her paper for that warranty  so called her back and advise her to go else where to replaced her pvc else where iwe do the diag for that reason and we do charge for our time customre also the vehicle been at our sister store from that day .  also this could been avoided just told her to come pick up the vehicle read more

I chose to go to Quality Star instead of my usual place. Big mistake, huge! I expected a professional shop and when I got that at my respective time I waited in the cold and then I was let in to go sit inside the office while the guy moved out cars. I was finally helped. I was called to come get my car and when I got there to pick up my car I had to wait while the owner I'm assuming finish his call and check me out. When I gave him my credit card he said that they don't take credit cards and asked if I had another form of payment. Um no! He took the credit card. Anyway I let the window down to see if the window regulator was replaced and the window let down but then it let back down a little. Called the shop and was told to YouTube how to reset it. Really?! Well it's been over a month and the window is still not going down automatically and when I let it up it lets back down a little and then I have to let it up manually by holding the up button for it to stay up. SMH ‍lesson learned follow your gut and pay the extra $160 for quality, professionalism, and someone who genuinely takes pride in their work! read more

First visit was to discover why my vehicles engine light was on. Car needed a new oxygen sensor. Picked up car and one month later the light was on again. Second visit, was told the computer system needed recalibration, they forgot to do it on first visit. In doing so, they put 100 miles on my car, ran all the fuel out. Went to fill the tank, turned on the ignition and engine light is on again. Will no longer take vehicle there for repairs. read more

Just wanted to give an updated on my previous review. I brought the receipt in from the dealership, which clearly stated the parts they removed from my car were not authentic Audi parts. Robbie did end up giving back $521, which was the amount that I paid to the dealership for the third repair. Although, he still received my deductible of $500, and $1,897 from my warranty company the first time he repaired my car. read more

My car has electrical problem so I decide to take it to quality star Benz my past experience with the co. Was ok left the car to get it diagnosed. After more than a week of waiting I decided to call back to check on it and I was informed that the problem that I was concerned was indeed present. The mechanic told me that he still have to raise the cat to check underneath regarding connections?? I ask that I be advised as soon as they get a diagnostic and again waited for a call. After more than a week of no info I decided to follow up Monday and was told that it need to replace the positive battery cable and that there is no available part to order because oem part is obsolete and can't find part anywhere. So I decided to look for said parts myself and the first call I did is thru the local Audi dealer and was told that they can get the part in 2 days. I checked online and found it on several websites for a lot cheaper than the Audi dealer. This people lied to me and about checking availability of parts and I think they did not actually diagnose my car but rather decided that the obvious problem is to replace the part that is overheating. The kicker is when I told them that I will pick up my car the diagnostic fee they are charging me was $300.00 read more

I won't bother going to any other mechanic. You can see in my previous review that I had major issues with my Volkswagen Passat. Several mechanics including the dealership couldn't figure out the problem, and the dealership made it even worse. I brought it to Robbie and he knew what it was immediately, gave me a great deal, and now I have a running car again after 6 months+ of random stalling and hundreds if not thousands of dollars wasted on mechanics who didnt know what they were doing. I had to get my tires replaced and an oil change. They got my tires in quick, within a couple days and I couldn't be happier.

I took my Mercedes in there 3 times for the same problem and they claim they fixed it but I had to go back 3 times and paying 400 each time. They basically just robbed me. So I went to gandg and they fixed it correctly the very first time. I will never ever go back to this place. Worst experience ever. I was starting a small claims on them. Got only so far as writing my demand letter. I honestly don't want to waste anymore time on them. Lesson learned. Just go to trusted shops. Im 7 months pregnant and have more important priorities to do. Don't go here. They take forever claiming to fix your stuff. read more

I don't have a German car, but Robbie/Rabih came out to change a flat tire for me as a provider for the roadside assistance I have through my insurance. HE WAS WONDERFUL! He was there in less than 20 minutes, changed the tire in no time, and was super personable and kind as well. My check engine light came on and my friend referred me to Quality Star Benz. Robbie was great. He ran a diagnostic. Diagnostic came back saying I needed a new fuel tank... Robbie went above and beyond and checked with the dealership and told me it was still under my extended warranty and made an appointment at the dealership for me the next morning. Fred had my car for almost 3 months and charged me 5200 I paid in cash two weeks later my car was doing the same thing. I called Fred he said to bring it back when I did bring the car back he told me the car needed coils and spark plugs after having my car for another week. I told him I was not paying another 900.00 for coils and speak plugs after just paying 5200. He also over charged me for a radiator when he told me it cost 600.00 and wasn't charging for the labor because he was fixing other things he still eneded up charging me 1000.00 for the radiator and continued to tell me he was only charging me 600.00 plus tax 400 in tax come on. I feel he took advantage of me because I'm a woman so after he had my car for another week he said it would be another 220 for the diagnostic check when he never mentioned that to me nor did we ever talk about it. Took my 2000 Mercedes Benz 230 Kompressor in to get the alternator replaced. At first I was a little apprehensive leaving my car here overnight and working with a new mechanic.
