This was my first experience with an AAA repair shop. Since I already have AAA towing I decided to try the AAA mechanics when my car broke down. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent experience from start to finish. The tow truck arrived quickly and the driver was very professional. The service writer at the shop was thorough, explained everything in detail, and gave me a rock solid quote. The shop kept my car for an extra day in order to get the correct replacement part. That is a good thing; it shows that they take pride in their work. I did not find any loose ends after the car was returned and so far the there have been no problems with the repair. read more

I've been here twice for an oil change and both times, I've had great service. It's simple to make an appointment online. The staff are always friendly and informed about my vehicle. The waiting room is clean and there's also an outdoor patio area. I usually only wait about an hour for my car to get done. This was my second time taking my car to them. The first time they did quality repairs to to my Ac, but the customer service wasn't that great. I'm giving the guys a pass for a remark passed between them on that first visit bc I think they have learned from the mixed reviews I'm seeing from others, they are now offering better service. I give 5 stars for my 2nd service to replace my side window regulator. Daniel O. took care of me and my car at a very high level, what you would expect at a lux car dealership. DO NOT USE, repeat, DO NOT USE the AAA repair facility North, off Lone Mountain. It took "TWO" visits to correctly diagnose the problem with my car when I told them the first visit what the probably could have been, yet their "diagnostics" which I was charged for "TWICE" did not reflect the problem until they "took the time" to totally look into the car problem. I blame myself because if they did not find it the first time, I should have taken my car to another mechanic, however, I believed them. Yet, my car stopped on me in a parking lot and I had it towed back to AAA Repair with the problem they said my car did not have because it was close. And, "I THOUGHT" they could fix the problem. However, I was charged excessive diagnostic fees for them to take an entire "DAY" to finally find the problem. My car was in the shop TWO days. Any other car repair facility, when they run diagnostics and they find the problem, they do not charge for diagnostics because they are doing the repair. AAA nickels and dimes you with excessive fees. The AAA facility, North, may be OK for oil changes. However, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS. It is a poorly run facility with incorrect repair diagnoses given, and poor repair time estimates given. The quality control procedures are dismal, at best. AND, they have no 'VALUE ADDED" services. For a AAA facility they should do a "standard" 17 point quality control auto check - THEY DO NOT. They charge excessive fees, and will not even check your tires for air pressure. This place is TERRIBLE. read more

I had my 2004 Nissan Altima 3.5's alternator replaced. If I had the time, I could have done it myself. They had to mess with the AC compressor, which on the phone, I told them, "don't mess with the AC compressor, just remove the tire and the wheel well cover to access it." Yup, they messed with the AC compressor. Alternator was replaced that cost me $1500 thanks to Las Vegas United Nissan Dealership Price Gouging, against "Nissan USA", the parts are locally "priced". Well, AAA had replaced my alternator, but broke my AC unit. This it very, very typical with our "Las Vegas Hospitality, and Dumbness". "One get's fixed, but they break the other to fix the other, and need more money to fix it." From a US "Metropolitan City" , Las Vegas has the most "Dumbest Creatures" on Earth. AAA shop had not recharged the AC gas. AC ain't working. I took it back to get it recharged. They say, it's got gas in in it. No, I test the valve to discharge, no gas comes out. They are a liers. They suggested me to do a diagnostic which costs me $175 for nothing, when the problem is clear and present. I denied their service, took my car to my regular Samurai Motors and found out that the AC gas was empty. AAA had not even tried to recharge the AC. However, a leak was found at the connector where AAA had messed with. I had explained the course of the problem, and Samurai Motors had "pin pointed" the problem, and fixed it. It cost me $280. If I had AAA to do this? I would need a new AC compressor and connectors, and ended up with a $1800 bill with a $200 "non-OEM" compressor 'cos OEM is not being made anymore, and, all started with them "messing with the AC compressor" when I told them "not to, and not necessary". Just like Meineke I got pissed off at. I guess this it the very proud "American Way". I'm a member of AAA for decades, and I don't know if I can trust any American repair shops anymore. Some will even "break" something for you to comeback for a repair service. These things are very difficult to prove in court, and, they know it. New Las Vegas "con" business seems like a "Mafia Style" by the "Dimwits". Make sure that your repair shop is not a "Dog" of the local dealers, and they have a better option for parts replacement. read more

I called AAA customer service for a referral for a shop to clear a check engine light. I had this happen before and it was resolved. The light comes on when I get gas at a certain gas station. I explained to the guy at N. Rancho Auto Repair Center the situation of only needing them to clear the check engine light. He told me it would cost $250.00 for a diagnoses when I just needed to have the light cleared, as previous before. I was willing to use this shop because AAA referred them. Thinking they were honest, but his quote proved otherwise. I wonder how many other customers of AAA have been RIPPRED OFF by this shop and didn't report them. I'm a senior and have been with AAA Auto Club nearly 20 years. And also, almost got Ripped off by this shop. I hope this can help OTHERS from getting RIPPED OFF. read more

I has a multi-point diagnostic on my whip and was told my battery failed. 8% charge. My dealership wanted $425 to install. I found a shop that had a deal on the battery/install, but not open on Saturday or Sunday? One of my GFs said to call AAA and get one installed at my home. Sure enough, a lovely women confirmed she was coming over in 10 minutes, installed the battery in 5 minutes, I paid about half of what my dealership quoted. The battery is made by Napa Parts and comes with three year warranty. Batteries from NAPA are excellent and highly rated on Consumer Reports. They can last long and are durable, thanks to their high-quality materials. The mechanic also advised me never to give a jumpstart on another vehicle. With newer cars, a jumpstart might short out my electrical system. Good to know! read more

They know this is coming. I made an appointment for 9 am to bring my car in for a diagnostic check. (My check engine light was on). I dropped my car off, they said they would call and let me know what was going on. At 3:30 pm I called to see if there was an update. I was transferred, put on hold for awhile. Finally the guy gets on and says they are still checking out my car, he will have an update around 5:30. I didn't realize my car would stay overnight for a simple diagnostic test. They called at 5:30, his report "we will check it first thing in the morning and call you" The next morning at 10:30, I told my daughter to just bring me there. The man in the desk in the back asked what I needed. I told him I was there to find out if my car was looked at yet "we're busy!" Was his response. The man I had been dealing with came out. They gave me a song and dance and treated me like I was just another dumb woman. The car was looked at, the diagnostic showed the engine 'misfired'. And? They still had to check it out. Really? They would call me back by one. (I already knew I wouldn't let them fix whatever was wrong, if it took 2 days to do a diagnostic how many days to fix?!). By chance, my husband had his truck at VIP auto down the street. They told me to bring it on over. I went back, got my car. the diagnostic was done within 2 hours at VIP Here is the kicker, I have a car fax notification anytime anything is done on my car/. They never did the diagnostic!!!! I will never, ever use this place or recommend to anyone. Note to the rude-ass guy in the back, do not EVER treat a woman like she is an idiot. It's bad for business. I get you are busy. Next time, tell your customers that upfront. You lost a customer and VIP auto gained a new one. read more

Excellent service! I will take my car to this shop from now on because they are the ONLY mechanics in the area that aren't completely incompetent. Gene and his team were super helpful gave my car the full treatment along with an oil change and replaced my gas cap. I really appreciate they kept in touch with me the whole time. I did have to wait until the holiday was over before I got my car looked at but that was expected on Labor Day weekend. Once they did look at my car it was in and out no delays, or failure to contact me (which is the least I can ask for with other shops). They're a little out of my way but they're worth it. Charged $530 for labor of spark plugs and engine intake tube. Both the spark plugs and engine intake tube were supplied. They had the car for 4 hours. They attempted to charge an extra $400 for cables. Only went here since trouble was had finding a tool. Will just order the tool next time. Overall a horrible experience. read more

For price of full synthetic oil I want to give 4 stars. For service advisor (at front desk) I want to give 4 stars, for cleanliness of front waiting area 5 stars. However, for technician (who serviced both my vehicles 2.stars)... I am very anal about making sure vehicle is cleaned properly especially after an oil change. On the 23 Niro there is a skid plate oil can get caught up underneath and I explained that to the service advisor who explained it to the tech...but I had to take it back as it wasn't cleaned properly and the oil pan nut ring wasn't replaced. So, I took my Soul and sure enough I looked under the car this morning and there about 2 tablespoons of oil on the garage floor drip pan, so you all know where I am going this AM... read more

I'm very particular about where I have my vehicles serviced. I have had some very negative experiences at a few low big name dealerships with sloppy work, lazy techs and my vehicles being returned in shitty condition from oil and grease on the pant to food and beverages spilled in the vehicle to actual blood all over front end. Daniel and Corey both were very good about the concerns I had with my truck recently. I did have other concerns due to the negative feedback about this shop, but I also wanted a quality alternative to the dealership and being a AAA member really wanted give them a chance. I was not disappointed and most important was that was that I feel that the work performed was worth it even just for the peace of mind. It was addressed same day and had my back the following day. The price was as quoted and my truck came back just as I had left it. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Charged $175.00 to diagnose problem. Said it was water pump. Wanted to charge me $4400.00 to install new water pump and they suggested new timing chain. $3100.00 without the timing chain. My daughter took her vehicle in the other day to just have them check her A/C, She said she asked them to see if it just needs to be recharged (because she had already purchased a can to recharge it). Im ammusing her being a young female they went ahead and recharged her A/C without her knowledge until they came back and told her she owes $300. Shes a young SINGLE mother and that $300 they charged her just to recharge her A/C my son couldve recharged her A/C for her with the can she already had that only costed less than $15. Worst customer service experience I ever had. Brought my van in because I was told the fuel injectors weren't getting power. Brought it in on Wednesday. Was told it would be $195 for a diagnostic. Never heard anything from them. So I called on Monday. The person on the phone wouldn't give me any information about what was being done but said I owed them $500 for work but couldn't tell me what had been done. So I went down to get more information. Was told nobody knew anything about the van and the guy at the counter could careless. Was told come back tomorrow. So i went back on Tues. They wanted to charge me $220 for a diagnostic they did not do and $300 for a repair job that they never asked me about or that I authorized. Plus they said it would be another $500 to drop the fuel tank to look at the fuel pump. They could not tell me why the fuel pump needed to be looked at to check if the fuel injectors are getting power. They "did me a favor" and didn't charge me the $300 but to get my van back I had to pay $195 for a diagnostic they didn't do. Plus I wasted 2 tows on my AAA policy. read more
