We thought we'd picked up a dependable car, a 2013 Nissan Altima. We found out afterwards it needed quite a bit of work, including a catalytic converter. We called one shop in Las Vegas and were given a ridiculous quote for the converter. Passion Auto was our next choice and the quotes for the various services were spot on with what my research showed they should be. They also identified an issue the first shop missed, a shredded serpentine belt. Passion Auto was very understanding of our situation and did good work at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

I found this shop because my 2016 Nissan Maxima needed new tires so I went to Costco and bought tires but Costco doesn't offer wheel alignments so they recommended a shop for the service. Zenith Auto Care is a part of the Costco Auto Program so Costco members receive 15% off services or parts at this shop. I called to schedule the wheel alignment appointment and they were able to fit me in later that day. I really appreciated this! Also, I called around to other auto shops and Zenith had the best price for the wheel alignment before the Costco discount. This is an honest auto shop with good prices, service, and they include service warranties. Thank you Zenith Auto Care! I will return for another service!

I came into USA Auto Service for a squealing noise that only happens when my AC is running in hot…read moreweather. To be fair, they did attempt to replicate the conditions, and I chose not to proceed with a full diagnostic at that time because I initially wanted a visual inspection first. After that inspection, I was quoted $1,800 for a compressor replacement by a technician named Gary. What concerned me was the level of confidence in diagnosing the compressor as the issue without a full diagnostic. From what I understand, and based on further research, it's very difficult to definitively determine that a compressor is the cause of a squealing noise without running proper tests under load and evaluating related components like the belt and tensioner. To be clear, I did decline diagnostics initially, but I was still reassured that the compressor was the issue, which didn't feel like a fully supported conclusion. I also looked into pricing, and while compressor replacements can be expensive, most estimates I found for Las Vegas are generally in the $700-$1,200 range (with some variation depending on the vehicle). That makes the $1,800 quote seem on the higher end, especially without a confirmed diagnosis. Part of me speculates if the high quote may partially due to me being a woman, however, I can't confirm this suspicion to be true. I did not move forward with the repair and will be getting a second opinion. I would recommend others ask for a full diagnostic and possibly a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs. After more research I'll be trying Busy Boots for the second opinion, as they have higher yelp ratings.

I use Amsoil because I do drive so many miles and when I picked up my oil at the distribution hub not too far away these guys came up as one of the closest shops that handled Amsoil. They seemed happy to use the oil and filters I bought and damn if they weren't done exactly to the minute off when they said they'd be, which was very important as I had a deadline I was trying to meet with an auction house pickup.
