I took my car in because I was having a problem; my vehicle wouldn't let me fill up the gas tank. There was also a small leak in the system. I left it at the shop overnight, and they called me later saying they didn't find any leak. All they did was reset the fuel sensor. My complaint was that I couldn't fill up with gas. I picked up my truck and left, but half an hour later I came back because I realized they didn't give me the engine oil cap. I asked about it, and they said they didn't have it. I got upset because I knew I had it, I hadn't moved it since I had the oil changed. Trust and honesty are what make a customer come back, and in this case, that didn't happen. They weren't honest, telling me they lost the oil cap. I don't think I'll go back to them; it was a bad experience. read more

I just want the heater fixed. Not a tune up. Sold out. Please ask first before throwing away old parts next time. I have warranties on them. I don't know what review to give yet. Nothing was wrong with the spark plugs or wire because they're brand new and I have warranties. No other fluids was flushed. Brake fluids same, oil still dirty,powersteering wasnt flushed, windshielf fluid wasnt filled, A/T wasnt flushed, over priced 800 over and not much was done. Broke battery tie bar and didnt let us know. Missing clip intake left un tightened. Its our first time there so I don't know. Don't know to trust them ans continue business relationship or not. Fast service. Went in with two coupons, one for a $59.95 oil change (I declined the tire rotation that is included) and one for a $39.95 smog on a 2005 ford. Very nice lady at the counter took the coupons and wrote up the order. It was more than the total should be and she said she would deduct the extra ten dollars when I paid. She wasn't there when I paid so it appears that they will only honor one coupon at a time. Now I have to check to see if they replaced the filter and oil because they can't be trusted. I wish I could leave no stars. On Saturday May 12, 2018, I brought in 2 of my vehicles. A 2015 Hyundai Elantra and a 1998 Honda Civic. The Elantra needed minor maintenance; the Honda needed rack and pinion and an oil change. We spent about $800 on all services. Sadly, never was it mentioned that after a rack and pinion, a wheel alignment would be needed. It was not mentioned at the time of quote, payment or pickup. Furthermore, Quality Tune up does not even perform the wheel alignment service!!! When the vehicle was picked up, the steering wheel was evidently off...and I mean way off. Athough it was hard to turn the wheel was not off when it was brought in. It is turned 180 degrees to the right. The vehicle was picked up close to closing time. This vehicle is used to drive around an infant, an infant who was there in the waiting area while repairs took place. I am completely disappointed and expressed to Sonny, the owner/manager that I could not believe it was not mentioned and that the steering wheel issue is a major safety concern. Now I will have to find another mechanic to do the alignment and risk the safety of whoever needs to drive the vehicle to a shop. Huge oversight and poor service. The expiration date was good for another year by the way. I reluctantly agreed to pay full price for what I thought was a simple oil change. Apparantely it's rocket science to them. Putting the screw back in the oil pan is extremely complicated and so began my ordeal. They had oil leaking everywhere. They tried to tell me it was a faulty oil filter. I told them it was you're faulty employees. I had to tell them to fix the problem and clean the undercarriage of my truck. This place is run by absolute morons. They did an exceptional job fixing our car for not too much money. We had been rear ended and the trunk was stuck closed. Also all the rear lights were burned out. They got the trunk to work again and fixed the lights all while we waited. They were also super friendly and offered me a bottle of water. I went to a body shop first and the estimate was sky high. Took my car in for a tune up. Turned out that I needed a valve cover gasket repacement as well. Being as though I DO care about keeping my car in running condition, I had the replacement done ($228.18 total for both services). A day or so later, I noticed a nasty staining on my driveway, (leak), where there had not been one previously. Called the shop, and they couldn't get me in immediately, but said that they could accomodate me today. Took the car in today...lo & behold...ANOTHER gasket replacement needed!!! ...backing up a bit, I'm SUPER cynical in regards to car servicing, because I know ZERO about cars, and my experience has been that when I've taken my car in for any little preventative service, there is a 100% chance of an "upsell"... When the shop Manager laid the news on me that I'd need yet ANOTHER replacement, I about lost it, (politely, I hope). I explained that the leaking had not occured until AFTER the servicing, and that I was feeling a little preyed upon. He said that sometimes, when one thing is replaced, that other parts that may be worn can get disturbed, but that he would talk to the owner, because he agreed that a suggestion of replacement of the OTHER gasket should have been recommended during the initial service. The owner, (Edwin Mancia), did not hesitate to replace the part for me, (gratis), with no ickky attitude or anything, without even discussing any possible charges. I will recommend them to friends and family because I really believe that it was an honest oversight and that the customer service there is really top-notch. The cranky woman behind the counter that is referenced in previous reviews is apparently no longer there? Only friendly people there on both of my visits. :) read more

My check engine light came on so I took my van into the dealership. The quote I got for the work that was "needed" was not in my budget so I passed on getting the work done. I went to Quality Tune-Up (QTU) on Fruitridge Rd. and was met with a very friendly Service Adviser named Shannon. I wanted to see if the mechanics there would say the same work was needed. A mechanic came out to the lobby to talk to the Adviser who I later found out was the Owner Sunny and I was told the same 2 parts were needed so I asked them about the 3rd part that the dealer said needed replacement. They went back to my van and confirmed that part I specified didn't need replacement and it worked perfectly. I really appreciate their honesty. All in all when I compare the work the dealer quoted me and the work I got done at QTU I saved $1,300!!!! Needed an oil change really badly. I had been putting it off for 2 months so I decided no matter what I had to do, it was going to happen that day. Every place I went was so packed and I was on a time limit so as I'm driving back to 99 after checking out Young's Auto (crazy busy) I see this place only 1 car in the bay. I tell myself that any oil change is not going to be too bad and they are advertising a $19.99 special. Yeah. . . First they wanted to charge me almost $60 for high mileage oil, no thank you. Then they didn't want to honor the advertised price. 3rd Strike was when they tried to up-sell me air and intake filters by showing me my "filthy" ones that I had just replaced 2 months ago. Printed a coupon for a $24.99 oil change. Got to Quality Tune Up, found out I was "saving" $2 off the regular price. Hey $2 is $2, no complaint. But here is the rub. My car requires 5W-20 oil, which of course is an additional $10 charge! Really? Coupon says price is for 10W-30, hmmmm, most newer cars require 5W-20 now. My car is an 2006, which is not that new but new enough. Super fast service, no waiting at all. Not the best area of time, but convenient enough. I've been a regular customer at quality tuneup for almost a year now, even making my bf take his car here. Turns out on my last oil change they tightened my oil filter on so tightly that when I ended up taking my car into another shop (jiffy-lube) they were actually unable to provide me with a full oil change and actually broke parts trying to losen the damn thing. I figured I would give quality the benefit of the doubt as this is a common mistake that can happen with a mini cooper, so I took it back with a filter and simply asked that they fixed the problem and replaced the filter for me. Turns out not only do I have to pay to have my filter changed, after waiting a half an hour turns out the guy with the tool to change it wasn't there. So now they expect me to come back, they expect me to pay the same price as originally did. My bf and I will not be coming back here again. So much for their quality warranty... read more

First time I went to have A/C refilled, they gave me an oil change instead and charged me for it. I gave them benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake and went back for a rotor resurface and new brake pads. I specifically asked for cerqamic pads and they said "our pads are ceramic, we only use quality parts". BS!!!! 1. They did not properly resurface the rotors, causing even more problems that before the car went into the shop. 2. The brake pads were not ceramic, they had ceramic flakes in them. BIG DIFFERENCE. 3. This is probably the most important thing, THEY DID NOT TIGHTEN ALL THE NUTS WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED!!! I had my husband install brand new rotors because the car was having braking issues, and he was able to unscrew over half of the nuts with his bare hand!!! I am extremely lucky that the brakes did not fail on me, especially since I have a toddler that is constantly with me. For the sake of yourself and your family, DO NOT waste your time, money, or safety here! read more

I would not recommend this place. I took my vehicle in to have the spark plugs replaced. The price seemed reasonable to have that done, it was like $79.99 or something around that price. They told me I needed a new distributor cap and that they did not have the cheap one in stock, but that they had one for $60+ in stock. I did not know much about cars then, so I decided to get it since I needed one. The guy worked on the spark plugs, and about 45 minutes later, a runner from the auto-parts store dropped off my distributor cap. Now I assumed they had it in stock at their shop and did not have to order one. Now I don't believe the auto store they used was out of stock. When I left, the total was about $230. I went to my Father-in-laws house and told him about the work I had done, he was shocked that they charged me $60 for the distributor cap. He took me outside and showed me how easy it was to take off, just a couple of screws, and then you place end of the plug wires on, that's it! The part only cost about $10-15 max at the store, so I feel like I got ripped off. I will NEVER give this place my business again. I highly recommend that you search youtube and look at DIY jobs to save money. read more
