I love it when a business exceeds my expectations!! Tannah, the service advisor, is fantastic. She is extremely friendly and treats her customers like a personal friend. I feel like she is looking out for me and my wallet when she presents the options on servicing my cars. She is very knowledgeable (about cars) and can communicate clearly with a wide variety of people. We have had multiple cars serviced at Quality Tune-Up and I have spent enough time in the waiting area to know that Tannah is helpful to everyone, no matter their situation. I don't know how Quality's prices compare to their competitors, but good service is valuable to me. Called them up and they gave me a decent price. So I took my car over. Was told 40 minute in and out the door. Waited over 1 1 /2 hours. They offered me a $10 discount over the phone and quoted me $59.95, but charged me extra fees for labor and supposedly I needed a special filter, which is bull. I paid over $77, for a simple oil change. And they came back with a list of issues that supposedly my car has and pulled out my ac filter and another filter and said they need to be changed. Both filters were good, they tried to pressure me to change them. The mechanic thought this lady knows nothing about cars, kinda sad to try and take advantage of female customers. I went home and my brother said why were they all in your car?? All those 5 star ratings they have is because they have a sing inside the store that they will give $5 off if the customers give them 5 stars. Kinda sad too to bribe for good ratings because they don't really deserve them. Never going back. First and last time. Amazing how you lie and make up stories. Let's try to run on honesty. read more

Went to get a diagnostic. And they start having pay for the guessing game. Spent a 1000 dollars to still have check engine light on. This is shade tree car shop. Suggest you go to the pep boys across the street. Hade my car for over a week and they half fixed the car. I know now to never go here. read more

I do not recommend this place I went in to get my A/c recharged I got it and it wasn't blowing cold air so I tell her to just fix the entire system compresor the girl at the front recommended I get a diagnostic first because she said it would tell me exactly what the A/C system needed and that it might not even need a new compressor I agreed paid for a diagnostic and turns out it needed all to be repaired it was 1600 for that plus the money I paid for the diagnostic and I left my car their later that day one of their mechanics called me and told me I needed to replace the hoses I asked is it necessary he said no not really but I highly recommend it to assure that everything will function properly and nothing goes wrong it was about 200 more after taxes and all I was at 2k one week after I get that work done my A/c is not working anymore I'm angry as it was a lot of money and having to leave my car for a whole day is a waste of money for me as it is my way of making income they said that it was just the hoses got disconnected that it was something easy to fix and they weren't going to charge me, a few months later and my AC goes out again I go back and now they tell me that another hose is broken and needed to be replaced I told the girl why is this happening if I literally paid you for a diagnostic prior to you guys fixing the AC system and one of your mechanics called me to tell me that I needed to replace the hoses in order to prevent this from happening so she tells me it's something that wasn't defective at the time but since I drove my car it broke and they never touched the hoses which made no sense if I had went back one week after and they literally said the hoses were disconnected they charged me 300 more dollars which I only paid because I'm convinced they sold me a used compressor that never worked as I had it checked out somewhere else prior to see what was really wrong and that was the issue I even questioned the girl if they had put a used compressor in my car and she said no and not to worry cause my compressor was under warranty and that was the only reason I paid the 300 more that they charged me also I had to leave my car there overnight because "they ordered the wrong hose" 2500$ and 3 visits later and my car finally blows cold air like it should have in the first place. read more

Slimy lieing scum bags, i went in for an oil change because i had a coupon and when they were done they told me i had to change my belts, my transmission oil, my brake fluid and my battery was no good(all of which were fine or brand new). My car did have problems, the front suspension was shot but they never mentioned that only the things that they wouldn't have to work on and then charge me for "fixing it". The coupon also came with a free tire rotation and they also failed to do that, im not even sure that they changed my oil. Shady as all hell i would give them zero star's if i could. read more

I know Melissa has some issues with this place not being open when their website said it would, and I get that, but once you've been to the place when it is open, you can easily see this is not the type of establishment that keeps their web presence up to date. The reason this place is awesome in my book is b/c we got a tire rotation, oil/filter change, fluids topped off, and everything checked out for $20. Try getting that at Jiffy Lube. And Jiffy Lube will also try to sell you a bunch of SHIT you don't need, not the case here. I think you can get coupons online, so check that out first. But maybe call to see their hours before you pop in so you don't have an issue like Melissa had. But the guy was nice, they were efficient, and we were on our way without a problem. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change. I got there a little bit after they opened in the morning. There were already people there having their cars serviced. I was told I'd have to wait an hour for an oil change. An hour? When I drove up there were no cars being worked on and employees standing around talking. I was told I had one car ahead of me. I actually watched one guy doing an oil change and he was taking his sweet time with it. And more people were coming in the doors to have their cars serviced, so its not like they weren't busy. The oil changes here used to take 15-20 minutes. I waited an hour and twenty minutes for my oil change! I really think this place has went downhill and its sad because they used to be awesome. I used to rave about this place to friends. This place ran better when Rick was around. After bringing my cars to these guys for years, I'm very disappointed with their current service. I may reconsider where I take my car for future services. read more

I'm new to Sacramento and needed to get an oil change. I found this place online and they had coupons so I decided why not! That visit was fine, and I believe I paid a little more because my truck has high miles. HOWEVER, this last visit was HORRIBLE! I called in ahead of time to make sure they weren't busy because all I needed was a smog check. The manager told me they weren't and I could get right in. When I got there I ended up wasting 2 hours of my life because they didn't start testing my truck til after 45 minutes and my truck didn't pass smog, and they charged me $70 dollars to tell me that. I later learned that a smog only shop would have charged me $34. I was pretty pissed and they said the only way they would retest the smog is if I got my car diagnosed for $100, and repaired there! I'm pretty sure that's illegal. I'll admit, I don't know cars, but I don't think that is any reason to totally get screwed. Thanks but no thanks! Total rip off and overpriced. read more

I usually go to the location on Florin, but found myself in North Sacramento for a smog test. Unfortunately my car did not pass, but I was able to call Quality, get the part replaced, and get my car back to the smog shop within an hour.
