I needed my spark plugs replaced. The shop allowed me to use my own plugs (ordered from Amazon). My plugs were the wrong size, so the shop was able to source out the right plugs (at a cost of $100, which is not unfair. I was in a jam, and already there). The total cost for parts & labor was STILL $100 less than their across-the-street competition. AND they kicked me down a small discount (I guess they could tell I was having a bad day). Price of service for an oil change if you had a coupon . There was a lot of confusion with what I was paying for . I had a coupon online for the oil change . Unfortunately, It didn't apply to my car because my car uses synthetic oil . I guess if you have a coupon, you should really ask if it applies to your car. There were other issues also . They were checking my brakes and said that I needed it replaced along with the drums in the rear . I wasn't planning to do it that day. Overall, I just felt like I had to pay more money if I had something checked out or it didn't apply to my car or if they would check something else in my car it would cost me extra. Manny was very friendly and personable. I came in for an oil changed and called for a quote for my 2013 vehicle. I was quoted $79.00 and told them I had a $10 off coupon. I went because It was much affordable than my dealership and I got there before it got busy. After my oil was changed, I was told I needed brake pads and rotors, transmission flush, and a couple of other items and was given a discounted quote of $1,000. After I left, I met some friends for lunch down the street and shared with them the quotes. I noticed right away that my mileage on the paperwork was way off. It said 161,000+ when clearly my odometer is 76,000. I went to my car to check the window sticker oil change reminder and that was correct. Bring back at 83,000. Then we went over the issues. They suggested I call my dealership and have them verify the issues. I had taken my car to the dealership 6,000 miles earlier for an oil changed and comprehensive service. That was in Feb 2023. The car isn't driven much. I just returned from the dealer and they checked everything Quality Tune up said I needed and I was told I was being bamboozled. My brakes were fine, at 5mm but would need to be replaced in the near future but not now. The flushings were done by the dealer last year and need not need to be redone. I think it horrible that women (I'm a senior) are still being taken advantage of. That $10 coupon should have been at $69.00 but I ended up paying $83.00 out of the door. Next time I'll go back to the dealer and pay $110. You definitely get what you pay for. read more

Very professional from the start and was responsive and knowledgeable for me. Pedro talked to me and showed me why I needed the parts that I needed. As well as manny did. Taking the time out to tell me I couldn't skip on safety and that I was in good hands. He's was right! They fixed my thermostat, housing and water pump and checked a whole bunch other things. Just had my car serviced here...though I was only going to need an oil change, but turned out there were other issues (not surprising, I've been neglecting my car maintenence). They explained everything my car would needed, gave me a ton of options on what needed to be done right now and what could be put off until later, and even took care of me when it came to the price on labor! I brought my Honda CR-V here for an tune up and fuel injectors cleaned. I was greeted soon as walked in the door by Tahanna. She was very polite, professional, courteous and very welcoming. I have worked with her before at a different location a year or so ago so once I learned she had moved I had to follow her to this location. The inside was clean and I was able to sit inside which was nice since it was cold outside. Once checked in my car was taken in less than 15 minutes and I didn't wait forever for the job to get done. I had recently visited the Arden Way location of Quality Tune-Up for a standard oil change. I was helped directly by two employees: Pedro & Edgar. Pedro had identified a needed repair (which I was aware of prior to visiting) and thoroughly explained why he strongly suggested that I take action immediately, If possible. He detailed what scenarios may occur without replacing the CV Axle. This particular repair ended up needing my car to be kept overnight. I was not at all prepared to be without my car, however, trusted the urgency of this repair that Pedro had emphasized. He even insisted that one of the employees, Edgar, could drive me home and that it would be of no imposition. Anyone who's been to this shop, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon, is aware of how busy these workers are. Edgar was extremely understanding and kind about the unexpected scenario and drove me home (about 15 minutes from the shop) with no hesitation. When my car was ready, Pedro had, once again, combed over exactly what had been done and assured the vehicle was safe to drive home. I don't usually write reviews, however, have to share what a positive experience I had, all thanks to Pedro and Edgar. I do not recommend this shop for smogs. Went there once, they failed my car for something irrelevant - no check engine light on or anything - ? Went to another smog shop and I told them the reason and they mentioned that is just nit picking at that point and I passed there. Really though, not only that but the second time I went in after I had already fixed the issue I waited an hour for them to tell me that suddenly 30 min before closing their smog machine magically "stopped working". Which is why I went to the spot where they passed me. These were my first experiences and I will not be returning. read more

I took my BMW ZM Roadster in for Smog Certification in January and it passed smog no problem, however when I took my Z3 2.3 Roadster today March 19th 2022 in, the Check Engine Light had burned out and 2 monitors O2 sensor and Catalytic Converter were incomplete. I completed the monitor cycles and replaced the burned out bulb and returned the same day. The shop charged me with 2 emission tests and the certification fee. I feel very ripped off paying twice as the technician knew he could not complete the first test as soon as he turned on the ignition switch. 3.065 Smog Certification Fee (CVC §11713.1 and CH&SC §44060) Dealers may charge buyers a fee not to exceed $50 for emission testing plus the actual fee charged for issuance of the smog certification. read more
