Recently brought my family and we all had an excellent meal. My finicky son (like's pizze and little else) stuck to the standard pupu platter items and loved them. Today we enjoyed an afternoon Dinner/Birthday celebration with a party of 19. We were all seated at a long table in the dining room. The Hostess, along with the Waiters and Waitresses where very accommodating, attentive and friendly. The dining room was very pretty, quiet music and the food was delicious. We enjoyed Sushi, Poo Poo Platters, and several dinners to share. The Waitstaff also brought out the Birthday Cake with the candles lit and sang Happy Birthday. I used their online ordering system and well over an hour later I called to find out the status of my order and was told that when you order online, it takes 15 minutes for them to get the order, then more time for them to look at the order, then even more time to process the order. It would have been nice to find this out before ordering from them. Why they even offer the online option is beyond me. Still waiting for them to arrive. Maybe they will arrive by breakfast tomorrow morning. This is not a complaint about the quality of their food. read more

Whether we sit down in one of their enormous booths, or simply stop bye and pick up a few appetizers to take home....everything is always fresh and perfect. Never had even so much as a bad bite there! We have been to Quan's many times and have never been disappointed, we love it. After thinking about it for awhile, we decided we really wanted to try the peking duck, which you have to order the day before you want it. We ordered it Sat. Morning for Sunday afternoon. We got there ordered apps., and our duck as well as a few other dishes. (There were 5 of us). Waitress came out and told us they forgot to order the duck for us. Ok, wouldn't have been a big deal, but they had our number and should have called us to tell us it wasn't there, so we could have maybe made plans for a different day, very disappointing. Always give 5 stars, but this was pretty annoying, since this was the reason for going with our out-of-town friends. A call to us should have been made. read more

When I went to Quan's Kitchen I was greeted by a friendly waiter. The atmosphere was high quality, there were fine wood tables, the room was well lit. There plenty of people there but the restaurant was quiet and I did not feel crowded. I ordered Peking ravioli as an appetizer, orange flavored chicken and a side of two spring rolls as my entree. My appetizer came quickly, in about 2 minutes from ordering time. The ravioli was rather bland; I am used to Chinese ravioli being very flavorful, but I needed to apply a little extra soy sauce to enjoy these ones. About a minute after my ravioli was finished, my server arrived with my entrée. My server seemed very alert and attentive; he refilled my water and made sure to ask if I needed anything else before departing. The orange flavored chicken was tender, moist, and the pieces of chicken consisted of all white meat, no gristle. Although the chicken was quality I found the sauce to be a tad overused. I was quite pleased with the spring rolls. They consisted of quality ingredients in the right amount so that it is easy to enjoy the delicious shrimp and bean sprouts. The rolls were moist but not too greasy; I would certainly order them for takeout. My meal total came to $22. Considering that I have had much better Chinese meals for much less, I think this price is a little too high. Overall, you will have a good experience at Quan's, but not without spending some money that you did not need to spend. read more

I went in with my girlfriend for a Thursday date night and the server was terrible, one he had a serious underbite, but beyond that he kept staring me down as if I didn't fit in based on my apparel, and appearance I was dressed in casual wear as well as my girlfriend but I realized that I was one of the only minorities in the restaurant at the time and I observed his interactions with the other families that were in the restaurant at the time his attitude towards them was more upscale and professional, compared to the way he acted towards my girlfriend and myself, this was a very uncomfortable feeling and I would never bring my girlfriend or myself back to this place... read more

I reviewed this restaurant when it first opened and I am giving it a above mediocre this time around. Here is why: have gone there about 6 times in last 8 months and everytime we go and sit down the service is slow. the times and days of week varied so I am not sure what is going on. The food I think is still excellent. Crab Rangoons are tops and many main dishes seem to have quality to them. However again I just went there on a Sunday night at 9pm...we asked if they were still serving and the girl at desk said yes but we went to bar anyhow to save time. sitting at bar for almost 15 minutes and no one there. An impressive place. My wife and I had dinner on Saturday. First, the place is huge but the dining rooms are divided up so you are not overwhelmed when you walk in. Very nice decor. Modern, clean and upscale. My wife and I were visited at our table by the owner or manager. He really wanted to know if we liked the food. He was also impressed that we drove to Hanover from where we live which is about 20 minutes away. We mixed sushi and chinese food. The sushi was really fresh and delish. Moist, fresh and very tasty. I tried the Hu Shiang Shrimp. It was spicy and flavorful. The snow peas snapped. That tells me that the veggies were fresh. Best shrimp that I have had in while. Large. This place was great but lacked some ambiance...Strange but it was like a beautiful girl in a prom dress eating at McDs. Perhaps this is more of a knock on the clientele and not on Quan's. I will keep my eye on this establishment to see how they do in the future but I would recommend Quans for good Sushi and Chinese food. read more

I made reservations for a small party to celebrate my birthday for 8. We arrived and checked in only to be waiting another 15 minutes to be seated. Also people who were there before us were just now seated with us. The waiter came over and took our order for drinks and also brought us the soup and salad that is accommodated with the dinner. Everything was fine, but then I began to get really annoyed because we were sitting there for a while, no waiter, no chef. Everyones talking and enjoying the night and I check the time only to see it's now 9. I go to the front to ask for the manager. When i ask him what's going on why are we waiting this long if we made reservations he seems very confused and is asking me what time did i make my reservation (which he clearly sees on the paper) and is now getting rude and yelling that I have to wait because "there are other people" meanwhile more people are now sitting in the lobby. I get even more upset because i find it RIDICULOUS that my small party of 5 and I spent an hour waiting when I made reservations...usually when you have a party they reserve a table and staff to accommodate you and your party. I have no problem waiting and if that was explained nicely such as "oh I'm sorry for the long wait but we are very busy tonight i will send someone over asap" that would've been fine and i would've stayed but the way the manager came off with a rude attitude as if we were supposed to sit there and wait all night pissed me off so i went back to my table to get my friends and ended up going to another restaurant read more

Don't bother!! Go straight to Tsang's down the road!! My food was so unpleasant, I called to order takeout from Tsang's before leaving Quan's. First time there, service was just so so. I ordered lemon chicken which arrived on a platter swimming in a sauce that looked like whisked egg yolks. Under the chicken was a little pile of soggy lettuce completely drowned in the yellow #5 sauce. Why bother? I also asked for an order of pan fried noodles. The server did not inform me that the noodles were essentially a dry, brittle mass of skinny noodles, not the nicely pan fried soft noodles that you would expect and certainly nothing I would have ordered with lemon chicken had I known. Trying the lemon chicken, I was concerned it wasn't cooked thoroughly. My boyfriend checked it out and thought it was, but the consistency did not taste like chicken - it was slimy and just strange. So I didn't eat any more and opted to order the soft pan fried noodles listed under their lomein section on the menu. So the confused server brought that, not asking about why I had pushed the barely touched lemon chicken off to the side. How can you screw up noodles you ask? By mixing them with so much minced garlic, that it took my breath away. I say mixing, because there was no evidence of pan frying. So I pushed that aside and swore this place off right then and there and looked up the number for Tsang's. I should mention that my boyfriend got the seafood pan fried noodles, which was edible, but bland and served on top of the same birds nest of noodles. Finally, we got our check with the fortune cookies which I ate because I was hungry and noticed on the wrapper that they had hydrogenated oils in them - yuck! Just a total bad experience!!!
