I've been three times now and each one was a disaster. I went here three times because I believe everybody needs a chance. Might be off days you know? We all have those times. They rush through manicures and pedicures. It's like an assembly line factory. Rude nail techs and most of them are loitering around in the back being loud with laughter. My toes are always gooey and the polish is substandard! So disappointing after informing them and giving them not one but two more chances! I have cuts on my fingers from the nail files! Whatever you do, make it clear what you want or they'll cut your nails to the nub. I sat next to a girl who came in at the same time I did, and after two hours (I was already done with the pedicure and getting my manicure now) she was still having hot pink polish shellac put on. When he finished, her fingers were covered in pink polish. They had to start all over. I hear they are expanding so it will probably be worse. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

The service was superb! I called to reserve a spot for 8 pedicures four days prior to the appointment. A fifty dollar reservation fee was required for a large party, which I didn't mind as I could use it on my pedicure service. Two days later I called to change my reservation TWICE on the same day as I needed to add one person then another dropped. My number went from 8 to 9 to 8 all in one day and I DIDN'T get any complaints from the people who answered. In fact, the last time I called to change the number back to 8 the woman on the phone hung up and called me right back to make sure that she got the time correct. That was going the extra mile already. I was very impressed! I've gone to a few other nail salons with 4 appointments for pedis and never have I started at the same time as the friends that I've gone with. I was hoping Quarry Nails would be able to at least seat us all and slowly get started on us. They did much MORE than that! Not worth the money! I came here in a pinch because my normal place did not have any availability because of COVID. The atmosphere is nice. However, this place is not worth the money. I spent almost $30 more to get dip on my nails and a regular pedicure than my normal place for my nails to already look bad. It was an extremely simple job, cuticles and clear polish. She did not use any cuticle remover on my hands, instead was rough and quick as possible. They did a great job! I walked in and was able to be helped right away. Very friendly staff. I work out a lot, so my feet are pretty gross and she did a great job getting all the gunk and ingrown stuff. I was only in SA for a few days and very careful to pick just any place for my nails. Most importantly - they are clean! Each foot sink is covered with a new plastic bag, everyone gets their own nail file, buffer, toe separators, etc. The nail clippers are all sterilized. I came in today with my Mom to get her a pedicure for her birthday. I talked to the receptionist and wrote our names down on the list and she said it would be 15 minutes. No big deal since we were walk ins. Since we had to wait I asked to get my Mom's eyebrows done and she went back to get them done and I stayed waiting. A few parties came in with appointments and other walk ins came in and got seated before us. About 20 minutes after my Mom got her eyebrows done the receptionist then asks us if we are waiting for something. We told her our pedicures and she just said oh and walked off. Me and my Mom thought that was weird so I waited a few more minutes then went to ask her how much longer. She said another 15-20 minutes after we had been there almost an hour now and we were still waiting after all the other pedicure walk ins had already been taken back. Her excuse was that there was a military ball tonight so that's why they were busy but the truth was she had given our spot in line to others and just didn't bother to say sorry for doing so. It wouldn't have been a big deal but she could have at least said sorry for giving our spot away and not said the wait time was going to be short if they had appointments coming up. We wound up leaving after what was supposed to be a 15 minute wait which turned into an hour wait that was going to be even longer. It sucked because it was my Mom's birthday and she just wanted to get pampered but it felt like other customers were more important than us. I love coming here because of the amazing work the techs do but this isn't the first time there has been a problem with the receptionist. My mom and I went in there hoping to have a great mother daughter day mani/pedi day. We walked in, were asked if we had an appointment or if we were a walk-in; I let them know we were walk in and completely ignored until they notified us they were ready to help us. Before the lady even started my mom saw the color that i had on my toes decided she liked that color instead. She picked from the menu what type of pedicure she wanted and left her with her foot soaking for about 15-20 minutes while she was doing something in the back. My mom did tell her that she didn't want her nails trimmed since she had just gotten a pedicure the week before. She noticed one nail was a little longer than she wanted and asked if she could please cut it. "YOU TOLD ME YOU DID NOT WANT THEM CUT" Ok. But she's asking if you could please file that one down. They finished with the pedicures now it came down to the manicure. I showed her what my mom was looking for and she asked "What about the length?" I said exactly like the picture. This lady had the Audacity to roll her eyes and UGHHH. This was the breaking point. I said "I'm sorry is there a problem?" And she said no and her tone completely changed. I've come here many times, bringing in new guest and all. I am usually pretty pleased. Not today. This time Chi didn't know how to preform a certain metallic style and rather than telling me that from the beginning, she proceeded with the manicure. She then played it off by saying "it's not working. Do you want to keep the color only?" So I decided I just wanted the color off (which was not the one I originally picked btw). Still got charged $10 for the manicure, which is fine, but finish the manicure. And not with cuticle oil, real lotion. Nail salons aren't new to me, I know the steps of a manicure. My left thumb is now swollen as well, for who knows what. I'm not one to speak up so that took a lot and I will not be returning unfortunately. Edit: HA and the owners response rather.. for sure never going back. You clearly didn't understand the problem. She did nothing. Not even a manicure. She removed her mistake and still charged me. I will not be returning. Let me just say that customer service is EVERYTHING. I just had a terrible experience here. I was going in for a classic pedicure. No friendly greeting, just "wash your hands" immediately when I walked in. Then I was ushered to a woman who did not greet me either. Not one word. Nothing was communicated to me as she filled up the tub. Then she kept straightening my feet, speaking under her breath to no one around her, as she scrubbed the callus off my feet, shaking her head. She kept looking up at me in disgust at my calluses, but...hello! This is why people go get pedicures, right? Then she said "lift your foot!" I said "I'm sorry, what?" "LIFT YOUR FOOT" she repeated in a harsh tone. Nothing else was said to me during the duration of the pedicure. Then she just up and walked away after painting my toes....I was wondering if she was finished, as she didn't say "thank you" or "all done." So I sat there for a few minutes waiting for her to come back. After she walked away, I saw her take another client at a manicure station, so I walked across the room and asked her "am I done??" I love quarry nails. I began getting my nails done at Ann's nails but once I tried this place I never went back! The staff is always so kind, and they take their time to make your nails look great. I specifically like that they time those massages. It drove me crazy at Ann's nails when I would get different people to do my pedicures the massage time would vary from 2 min to 15 every time . I recently went to Quarry nails for a second visit in March. The set itself was not the best but i paid for the set because the nail tech did spend time on it and i respect that. A couple of weeks later I ended up breaking my nail and both my nail bed and acrylic nail broke in half. I have been doing my nails for over 3 years straight and have NEVER had this happen to me. I tried to take the rest of the set off at this point and even after soaking the set for almost an hour it would not come off. My nail beds are literally torn apart today. I ended up calling the salon to let them know this happened and the receptionist answer was they have been doing nails for 10 years with no complaints, he asked me what do i think happened??? ... I told him that they did something wrong I didn't know what it was. I researched online and found they used a substance is called methyl methacrylate liquid monomers, more commonly known as MMA. This product is illegal!! And looking at pictures of this I was pretty lucky with my nail Please do not go here, this is so scary and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. read more

My nails have NEVER looked better! I have recently relocated to the area and until yesterday had zero success in finding a nail salon to meet my standards. I'm picky, but they are my hands and feet and I think if I am paying a "professional" to work on them, they should look perfect. So, searching for yet another salon, I stumbled across Quarry Nails. So impressed!!!!! The staff is extremely attentive and informative, the atmosphere is relaxing, the salon and its "facilities" are very clean. The service menu and prices are clearly posted at the front desk and if you happen to miss them, your technician will gladly bring you one to look over if asked. The young lady who worked on me did a fantastic job with my feet, which included a wonderful 10 min foot massage with the 'deluxe package'. Then onto my nails. They were in HORRIBLE condition with the start of fungus (ewww!) from going to another salon in the area. I showed my technician and asked what my options were to correct this and still have nice looking nails - she gave me several options to choose from. One of which is the "Shellac". They really do push it there...from the minute you walk in the door. I had never tried it, so I went with it and I LOVE IT! They have hundreds of colors to choose from and even do a Shellac French Mani. She removed the nasty acrylic and I was able to keep the length of my natural nails, and the Shellac left them strong and shiny. The only issue I had was that I had to wait, but considering I did not make an appointment and it was 5PM on a weekday, that was to be expected. While waiting I was still able to soak my feet in one of the massaging pedicure chairs. The front desk receptionist also offers and brings refreshments while you are waiting as well as during your service. Anyone complaining about the wait....well, if you don't like waiting, make an appointment! I did not give 5 stars because it is only the first time I have gone. I do intend on returning to the SAME TECHNICIAN each time. So, I cannot comment on others' work. However, I can say that ALL of the staff were very polite and professional. There is such an air of disdain and snottiness now when you walk in and my mother had trouble with the sign in because they have gone digital and want your phone number. I've been to this nail shop on several occasions. I figured it would get better but apparently not. Each time I made an appointment and each time I had to wait and was rushed the first two visits. The nail tech ( Morgan) was really nice and did a great job but on my last visitor I could tell there was something unusual going on. The owner I assumed informed me I could not take the nail sample colors with me I needed to take a picture of the colors. I felt that was unusual but ok. Then he proceeded to led me to the chair and left. I sat for 20 minutes before the nail came over. She already had a client and he never informed her I was there for her. She finished her previous client and came over to start my service not a word. Then she stated she was sorry for the wait ( not her cheery self as usual). This has occurred each time I've come to this shop. I have come to that assumption he the owner is very bias or racist. Other clients come into the shop I notice he accommodated them with drinks and inform the techs they are there and ensure they are serviced on time no matter what the other techs are doing. I will not be returning or referring anyone to this shop. I hope the techs that serviced me will look for other works because they are over scheduled and not appreciated. The girl was throwing my hands around, never smiled, never made eye contact with me and talked constantly to her coworkers in vietnamese... very rude. I felt sort of trapped while I was getting my manicure. Then as I looked at the tools she was using I found myself questioning their cleanliness. In addition to this they were trying to upsale like crazy. A man that worked there kept 'encouraging' me to get that hard enamel polish for like $40 (vs $15 for a regular manicure) and sort of made me feel cheap for declining. Again... that trapped feeling.
