First time here and had an amazing experience, got the nail design I wanted although it was pricey I think it was definitely worth it. Everything looks clean and they even have sterilizing machines for their tools which is a plus. A lot of people working here too so we were helped almost right away. I went today for the first time and Leslie and Vivian were super rude. They kept whispering to each other over and over again. The color I had asked for was a pearl white color (CDM 10) and when Leslie was doing my nails is was completely CLEAR. I asked her if she could do at least one more coat so that you could at least see some color and she said that she can't. I've started coming to this nail salon a few weeks ago because I was referred to by a friend and I must say I absolutely love this salon, it is clean, the location is perfect, they have tons of colors to choose from, and the service is fast and very friendly. I am just visiting San Antonio for 2 weeks but needed a mani/pedi desperately. I was taken care of by "Lily" the China doll. I have had hundreds of mani/pedi's in my lifetime, but never one as good as what Lily gave me. 5 days later I had to go to the hospital for a procedure and they had to take off all of the polish. I went back to Lily today to get them re-done....and she was as amazing or better than the last time. If I lived here - I would come back every two weeks to have Lily take care of me. I used to love coming here but my last experience will make me never come here again. My tech got upset with me because he rushed through my nails then had the nerve to tell me that they were straight even though it clearly curved into my other fingers. Then got more upset when I asked him to fix it. He then "forgot" to tell me not to use soap to wash my hands which led him to filing more of my nail down and redoing the polish. I just went here with my best friend. She asked for the heavenly pedicure for the both of us. The lady that did mine suggested that I get the new skin pedicure and that it was better than the heavenly. Was she WRONG!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE NEW SKIN PEDICURE! Yes my feet were soft for 2 mins after she finished but now they feel just like my feet did before I went in. This "better" pedicure didn't even include a massage. She put one dot of lotion on each of my feet rubbed in then painted my toe nails and that was it. However, my best friend got the heavenly pedicure and WOW I was impressed. I wish the lady would have just given me that instead of talking me into the "better" pedicure. My friend got a massage for 10 mins on her legs then another 5 or so on her feet. Got lavender sea salt rubbed all over her legs and feet. Then got a hot stone massage on her legs and feet. Then she got paraffin wax. Her pedicure started 30 mins before mine and we were finished at the same time. I highly recommend the heavenly pedicure for these reasons. On a positive note this place is very sanitary. They use a plastic cover for each pedicure (you cannot tell there is a plastic cover) and they use new packaged tools each pedicure! I will try this place one more time and update what I think but as of today with my experience I WAS NOT IMPRESSED!!!! read more

I have been here three times and I've been thoroughly disappointed each time. I moved here from the northeast and this is probably one of the most disappointing cities to try and find a good nail salon. The first time I came here I had gel done the guy took the lotion and put it all over my diamond engagement ring and said oops like he didn't care at all... The second time I was here the woman Who did my nails seemed annoyed that I really did not want to gel manicure . The day after I had my nails done half of the nail polish came off.. I don't remember if she even applied a base coat or top but that should not happen it doesn't even happen when I paint my own nails. The only good thing about this place is they take their tools out of clean sterile packaging and they do a good job on their pedicures. read more

Sketchy business practices! I've been a returning patron for a while (despite the fact that there is always a wait even though they have several empty spa chairs). My husband purchased a large gift card as a gift for me, so I treated myself. When I went to pay with my gift card, they claimed it was already used (it was not). As it turns out, they had given him a blank gift card after taking his money, and refused to acknowledge their error. (They could not prove that I or anyone had used the gift card.) I usually get my nails done by Henry. He is EXCELLENT and takes care of his customers. Well I broke a nail and Peter tried to fix it. He first told me to come back when Henry was there. I said Henry is off today. The he tried to find another excuse and say he doesn't do colored powder. I said they are not colored powder they are acrylic. So he tried to fix my nail and was very rude the entire time. Then the nail was going off to the right and he said to me, "Henry's customers too picky, you too picky lady." I said you are being mean and no I am not picky. He got up from the table and left the store AFTER he spoke his language to all the other employees and spoke about me. The ANNIE came to the rescue and saved my nail. NEVER EVER USE PETER AS HE DOES NOT CARE AND IS VERY MEAN!!! Henry or Annie all the way!! read more

I am so disappointed. I usually go to Quarry Nails because they are close to my work and I can go get my nails done during my lunch hour. Usually I come out very happy. Today was not a good day. First off the girl I got took her sweet time with every move she made. I guess she had all day to take care of one client. When I asked for french dip she told me that my nails were too short and it would not look good. Uhhhh, what? I have to have long nails if I want french?? Thats funny becasue first off, they're my nails and thats how I want them. Second, I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had a tech tell me that my nails would not look good. I ended up just asking her to remove the dip I had on (becasue she had already started) and that I would go elsewhere. Then she filed my nails in a round shape and I hate round. She didnt even ask, she just did what she wanted. Poor poor service. Guess I won't be going back. read more

I have only visited this salon once, but I regret I visited it at all! If I wasn't in a hurry I would have left immediately. Their hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure that they sterilize their equipment, eventhough they do a charade of pulling it out of a sterilized bag. After closer inspection, the bag was dirty and well used. The quarry Nails is usually a good place to go. Last week I was given a girl named Meghan to do my pedicure. She sat me down and then disappeared for like five minutes came back only to say she would be with me soon. I was there to relax, so I just asked if she could fill up the water while I waited for her to return so that I could have a Jacuzzi while I waited. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I thought it was maybe because she couldn't understand, or didn't hear what I said. I waited another 10 min, It turned out she understood me but decided she wasn't going to accommodate my request. She didn't fill the water for the entire service. She was very put out and angry the entire time she did my service. There are times when an employee just doesn't like what they do and they take it out on the customer. I Believe that this was the case with Meghan. She was an unhappy girl who is unhappy with her job and so she was taking it out on the customer. My advice, if you go to Quarry nails be sure not to get Megan. read more

I love this place. It never lets me down. I always come and get the shellac mani and regular pedi and the concierge always asks if I need them done at the same time which is convenient at times. They have tons of shellac colors to choose from which is awesome. everything from nudes, pinks, neons, and glittery shellac colors. They always do a good job on my nails. The only thing I don't like is that they dont perfect match which is a shellac color with the corresponding regular polish for the toes. So I have to find the color that matches best. The thing I love about the place is that it uses those plastic bags over the bowl for each new pedicure. Also the utensils come fresh out of the packet. read more

I strongly advise to NEVER go to this nail salon! I've been there twice because I work in the quarry and wanted to give them a try since they were in my area. First time I went I was rushed, barely even had time to pick out a color without the staff down my neck waiting for me to hurry (not even like it was jam packed busy, and I barely started looking at the color options a minute before they started rushing me) the overall quality of my nails the FIRST time was okay, not great but ok. That visit I paid $45. I decided to give them one more chance and come back for a new set and MAN was that an experience! Again, I waked in and started to look at the color options and was IMMEDIATELY bombarded by the staff asking if I was ready, I barely even started looking at the colors and this time I wasn't going to let them rush me since I was the one giving them business. That was until the nail tech came over and just stared at me looking at the color options while breathing down my neck and giving huffy noises, obviously annoyed that I wasn't ready yet. (Mind you, I was maybe looking at the colors for 5 minutes TOP) she then started doing my nails and was incredibly rough with my hands and ended up cutting almost all of my fingers. I asked for coffin shape and I have no idea what kind of shape I even got that's how off it was. I wish I had taken pictures it was so awful. My thumbs looked RIDICULOUS one was probably a good centimeter longer than the other one and what I thought was so funny was how the nail tech checked side by side every singe fingernail EXCEPT for the thumbs because she obviously didn't want to notice how bad they were and fix them. She ended up finishing my nails and shooed me off to the counter to pay and they told me it would be $60 I was in shock, but I don't like confrontation so I ended up paying thinking oh it's just the thumbs I can fix that on my own. Wasn't until I got to my car and got a better look and noticed every single one of my nails were bumpy and uneven. I wanted to cry I was so upset, mainly that she knew how messed up of a job she did and didn't even want to fix it. I will never go to this salon ever again and already warned all of my coworkers that also work in the quarry to never go this nail salon. There are plenty other nail salons that you can go to that will do a WAY better job and for a better price! read more
