Beyond disgusted with this place now. I've been living in sunrise for over 15 years ! Loved them until recently . The quality of food and staff has declined. I called around 9 for two plates of food and didn't get my food until 10 o clock ! I paid 52 dollars for trash. I ordered a half rack with a baked potato. It wasn't cooked nor was the ribs. Mind you I called a head of time ! I ordered spaghetti and got elbow macaroni mixed in with it as well. I waited nearly 40 minutes for food that was rushed. Never coming back . And to top it off I just seen their violations for last year. DISGUSTING. DO NOT BUY HERE! read more

We went for a nice lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time! There was plenty of parking and no wait to get a table. I had the jambalaya which was incredible. They do it slightly different and the roux isn't soupy, but a slight sauce that covers all the ingredients. The bread was very soft and perfectly toasted. My wife had the American Burger which was really just a standard burger. It was OK, but I don't think she'd order it again. The special sauce was nowhere to be found. After a great Panther's game and win, a few friends and I headed over here for some food and drinks. We ordered wings, spinach dip, Caesar salad, beers, and a margarita. Wow! I'm shocked that this Quarterdeck has such sad reviews. While I can say that IMO there is some room for prices to be a bit lower here, the bottom line is that the food is always fresh and consistent! If you are in the mood for fish, I highly recommend the blackened soft fish tacos. The mahi is on point, and the whole taco really comes together with melted cheese (thanks to the fresh mahi placed over it), the avocado, crema, and fresh salsa. Pro tip- add some Cholula. You can thank me later. ;) Other items I really enjoy here are the wings extra well done and the Tuna Philly. That wasabi mayo on a barely seared Tuna Phily is perfection. Service here has always been "okay." It's next the the college, so I feel like it's definitely young kids serving you without ambitions of being the finest servers in the industry. Room for growth in this department. However, totally acceptable. Oooo last note, on a nice day it's awesome to sit outside here! They have a few fans for when it's warmer, but it makes for a great lunch spot when you are needing a break from indoors and office lighting. read more

I've been visiting this location for a while. It's located right on the corner of flamingo and sunrise on the south east corner. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Parking is easy as they are located adjacent to a plaza. They have both outdoor and indoor seating and outdoor smoking is allowed. They have several beer on tap, and a wide menu of options within a double sided single sheet menu. Our server was Janai, pronounced Jené (rhymes with René) , she was outstanding and always checking on us. We ordered the spinach dip, lobster fritters and philly cheese steak. Spinach dip: very good, unique in texture filled with flavor, served with salty chips. Lobster fritters: recommended by Janai, not my favorite I was expecting more lobster flavor but they were ok. Philly cheese steak: ok so here's the trick: the one on the menu is very simple; however, you can ask for the old version which is not in the menu that comes with onions and mushrooms and they'll make it for you. Amazing taste compared to other places, pair it up with an order of sweet potato fries and endulce! We accompanied the dinner with Floridian beer which matched quite good. Ambience outside is great because you can talk and they have plenty of space so it easy to find a table. read more

I just went and spent over $20 on 3 bowls of Lobster Bisque and the girl didn't even fill it. she literally put maybe a quarter on soup in each one! Who does that! I barely have one orders worth! If they were out of the soup, I'd understand and either order less or wait for the next batch. But to still have me pay for 3 bowls and barely give me 1. That is completely unprofessional! My husband gets this all the time and he has never gotten less than a full bowl! I seriously can't believe someone would actually do this! Not all of us have money to blow! I have been coming to this Quarterdeck for years but never felt compelled to write a review until today. The atmosphere here during the Panthers games is unreal. It's is energetic, exciting and it feels like everyone is one big group of friends. The manager Luis is always speaking to different customers, helping the servers run the food and clean tables in order to ensure the highest levels of service. You can tell that the bartenders, wait staff and customers really respect and appreciate him. I've been there about 5 times in the last three weeks and have always had fast service with delicious food. Make sure you get there before 7pm and take advantage of Happy Hour. read more

Longtime customer of this Quarterdeck location. The past few visits we have noticed a decline in service. Poor attention to detail - dirty restrooms in disrepair to include missing covers on toilet paper dispensers & missing lids on stall wastebaskets. On our last visit, we ordered two drinks and were informed that it would be the last order for one drink as they were out of the liquor used to make the drink. We also were informed that staff had to go to purchase liquor earlier in the day as they were running low on many items. On the same visit, our appetizer was given to another table, so we had to wait for it to be prepared again. Fortunately, when the wings arrived, they were outstanding! I informed the waitress that the wings were outstanding and that we would like the same wings, prepared the same way. When they arrived, they were not grilled, as requested, so we had to wait again to have the wings prepared correctly. Fortunately, this was the day of a Panther Watch Party, so we were not in a rush. Any other day, this would be unacceptable. From a business perspective, to be this unprepared along with poor execution could be detrimental to the business. I am writing this review in hopes that management can turn the establishment around. read more

Have loved Quarterdeck for years! It's a great place to go for seafood, for burgers, or just hang out & watch the games. It's conveniently located near the BB& T Center and Sawgrass Mills, but without the parking nightmares. On my recent visit I stopped in for lunch with a friend. She had a toddler with her, so this was a perfect place because they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a big fish tank inside which captivates customers of all ages. We ordered an edamame appetizer for starters. It was kind of plain. (I've ordered it before and it had a little more flavor.). It was a very large portion though. Then I had a balsamic chicken salad. It was large and pretty good. I was trying to eat healthy but I know from previous that their burgers and nachos are delicious! We lingered for a long time because we had work to do. We never felt any pressure to leave and our server stopped by frequently to check on us. I will definitely be back....like their sign says; it's a great neighborhood bar/restaurant. read more

I used to visit this quarterdeck every weekday whether it was to sit and wait for my daughter to be done with school or to get takeout for the ride home. 7 years or more now ... since ditching their sushi I very rarely go. Their staff is awesome but eliminating the option for sushi was a bad move and in my opinion might be the downfall of an otherwise pretty successful business... its clean and they revamped it and service is great-prices still pretty reasonable for what's going on in the restaurant world. Quarterdeck has made great strides, at least at this location, to change its image from college watering hole to a more refined atmosphere. They have a great bar and the cosmetic changes are a welcomed addition. Service is actually very, very good. Menu is where I took a star away. Quarterdeck needs a specialty, currently they just have traditional dishes that you can get anywhere. They need a "thing" like "32 flavors of wings" or soft shell crab, fried clam bellies or something that sets itself apart from all the other restaurants (cough Flanagans). read more

This is the perfect place for an after work happy hour. It is located on the corner of Sunrise and Flamingo. You can see the sign from the street. As soon as you turn into it there is plenty of parking. This is one of those cool places that has an outdoor and indoor but I would say this is your traditional sports bar. You are going to have TV's everywhere. There is an outside area. I saw people with their dogs and you can smoke outside as well. Right now they are doing remodeling. I have been there before when they had the pool tables but right now they have the place divided in half. We came on a Friday after work around 8pm. We were a large group of 12 people and we were able to get seated at a high top in about 15 mins which was great since we were a big group. While we were waiting I got a spicy margarita at the bar. I loved it I saw the bar tender making it and I saw that it was made with real jalapenos. I love it when places use real ingredients. When we sat at the table we were able to order a couple appetizers and more drinks. We had the buffalo shrimp, the fish dip, the spinach dip, and french-fries. The food was out fast and it was fresh. We loved the spinach dip so much that we ordered another round and we also ordered 3 rounds of the buffalo shrimp. Overall, it was the perfect place to come after work with some co workers to have a couple appetizers and some drinks. read more

I was invited to watch the finals between Golden State and Cleveland last night, and boy were those Golden State fans out last night! The place was packed. Every table and booth full. There was barely any parking so I had to park over in another parking area of the plaza. When I got inside, the restaurant has a typical bar atmosphere similar to Hooters, Ale House, etc. There are high tops, and booths that swing back and forth, pretty neat! Pool tables, large screen TVs in the center of the restaurant and smaller TVs along the top of the bar. Enough for everyone to see the game with no limited or obstructed views. Me and my party of 4, ordered clams, buffalo wings, honey garlic wings, spinach dip, buffalo shrimp, JB delux sushi roll, and another Tempura shrimp sushi roll. Everything was awesome. The menu has a good variety of foods, including seafood, steaks, pastas, sushi, and appetizers. The clams were sauteed in a butter, garlic, herb sauce, cooked well, and was not overcooked or chewy. Great flavor. Generous portion with enough to share. 6 buffalo flats, and 6 Honey garlic flats. The honey garlic wings were my favorite. Sweet, tangy, garlicky, sticky goodness. The wings were served with a blue cheese sauce which complimented the wings well. The sushi rolls were pretty darn good as well. I was impressed! The seafood and ingredients used were fresh, the rice had the perfect flavor. The bar menu is extensive as well. I ordered an old fashioned with extra cherries. These are not your average maraschino cherries. These cherries are Luxardo maraschino cherries. They are dark cherries with a sweet real cherry flavor. Not the other syrup, gmo, fake, manufactured red stuff they call cherries! It gives the old fashioned a wonderful taste and aroma. A must try! Overall, great food, great time, good company, great place the watch the game as everyone was very energetic. It's been years since I've been here. A definite remodel since my last visit. Brooke hooked us up and she was a 5 star server. We'll certainly ask for her when we return. We started with spinach dip and onion rings. The dip was really good. The chips and onion rings were okay. I ordered the tuna Philly lightly seared. My mom had the same but more medium. Both were perfectly prepared. The wasabi dressing was off the chain. Our friend had the blackened chicken Ceasar wrap and she said it was excellent. Oh yeah, we started with the Bloody Marys and they was great. We ended with a chocolate ganache which was good. The service was excellent and the food was really good. We will return. The best place to go after the Panthers game. Ashley is usually our server when we come in and shes is 10/10 the best server around.
