This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I had high hopes since I'd heard great things about the Fort Lauderdale location. I was happy to see we had a closer location in Plantation, so I decided to go there instead. Parking was easy, seating was fast, but service was so freaking slow! I think we ended up waiting for our food to arrive for over 45 minutes- which is insane! We saw our waitress just watching the game and it took forever to get her attention. The place is huge and I guess it was pretty packed since it was a Sunday afternoon and football was on the screen, but I've been to other sports bars during high season with double the capacity and have never experienced such slow service. Had I been by myself, I would've walked out and gone anywhere else, but I was with a group so I waited. We ordered two Philly cheesesteaks and a burger. The food is okay but a little overpriced for the quality. I would've been happier going across the street to Chic Fil A and getting a cheaper and faster meal. Service was great but food was not good. I had the shrimp fajitas which were the worst I have ever had. Everything was bland - absolutely no flavor. I don't like spicy but that would have at least given a little flavor. Bathrooms were dirty. One sink in ladies room did not work. Two soap dispensers were empty as was one of the two paper towel dispensers. Tables and booths were dirty and sticky. Please update your menus since the first thing that called my attention was the Lobster Mac & Cheese and I was really looking forward to have it, but unfortunately they no longer serve it. The response from the owner was dance all around the issue but not addressing the problem! The Dog paws on the BAR eating from a dog bowl! How is that sanitary? I am thinking will need to carry my own Clorox wipes with me because who know when the last time a dog was on the bar or a table. Dogs are fine but should be outside or on the floor at best! An employee server should not be petting an animal while handling food! If that had been my food and had seen it I would have sent it back and left! I've been to the location in Fort Lauderdale so I was excited to try out this location since it's closer to home. We decided to get lunch here one day and I ordered the PO'boys sandwich. I have never tried a po'boy before so I was feeling adventurous and wanted to try it out. When it came out it did not look appetizing. There were sausages and peppers in the sandwich but it was so salty. I couldn't eat it and had to get McDonald's afterwards. I know next time I will not order that dish. The service was good but I chose the wrong food. However, the conch fritters were really good and my husband liked his lunch. The restaurant was big and had outdoor seating. The second time we went was last night. My company was having a Christmas party there. They reserved a table to fit about 20 people in the back where the pool tables were. There were wings, potato skins, and pasta put out on one of the pool tables as a buffet style for our party. There was one waiter running around helping our party out as well as other tables. He was really busy but he was attentive and kept filling our food and drinks up. I give props to him, he worked really hard and fast. We all had a great time just partying it up with my coworkers. The food was really good, I really like the potato skins with bacon, cheese, and sour cream on it. I had a few mixed drinks then switched it up to beer. They also offer a loaded corona which was delicious! Overall, the second time was great, it made up for my first experience and I look forward to returning to try their other menu items! read more

Marilyn knew we needed assistance but refused due to the barfly regulars needing assistance and of course they are priority. But besides Heather who is the bomb diggy, Quarter deck really has good food. The wings are top notch. The sushi is better than most of the sushi restaurants in the area. And they have a fantastic selection of beers. They have a lunch sushi box which is my go to here for lunch. But beware, some of their sushi rolls are pricy especially the specials so ask how much before you order. I haven't had a bad meal here and I have probably been here over a hundred times in the past few years. Friday nights they breakout the DJ and after about 11, its like a club. We come to Quarterdeck all the time but we typically end up at the Davie location because it's closer to our house. This Sunday we ended up in Sunrise after a long day running around Sawgrass. I am not sure if there is anything worse than an afternoon spent bargain hunting here and you most definitely need to refuel after. This place was busy when we arrived around 6 and our waiter let us know it was happy hour and all the apps were half off. He recommended the soft pretzels and we also got the calamari and wings. He was right about them pretzels! Not anything I'd normally order but they were quite good!!! Everything honestly was tasty. I got a full rack of ribs and it was a seriously generous portion with enough for me to share some with my husband, get full and take some home for lunch the next day. I paid extra to upgrade to a fully loaded baked potato (remember that trip to Sawgrass?) and it's probably the only thing we ordered that wasn't worth it. Stick to fries. Overall a great meal and experience. Quick service, good food, great waiter. No complains at all! read more

This is a go to for us whenever we are in Plantation or Sunrise. They always have a phenomenal selection of micro-brews that rotates with each season, great drink deals, along with awesome sushi. I have to give them credit, they do a great job of keeping everyone socially distanced, using every other table, separating people at the bar, and placing plenty of tables outside. We were bummed to miss out on a swinging table, but were happy to see distance between guests. We loved the Bahamian roll and they always do an awesome job on their wings. When you ask for them well done, you get a nice crisp, even when they sit in the sauce for a bit. Definitely will be back! read more

I have to admit, I was pretty nervous coming here. Overall, I thought the reviews weren't the greatest and the pictures, in my opinion, made this place even worse, so when my friend suggested Quarterdeck, I begrudgingly agreed. Inside is a typical sports bar, but fortunately we were able to sit outside. It was a beautiful day so why not. I didn't realize until my visit that Quarterdeck isn't truly a sports bar, but rather, it's a seafood bar that happens to also be a sports bar. Our waitress Caitlyn was great. We asked her a ton of questions. I mean, I ton. "How many wings come with the half rack of ribs?", "is the chicken good?", "what's your favorite dish?". You name it- we asked and she happily agreed. I ordered the half rack of ribs and the half chicken with Cole slaw. The rack of ribs were amazing. The sauce was sweet and the meat, while it didn't immediately fall of the bone, was still soft and tender. Honestly, the best ribs I have had in awhile. The chicken was good- a little dry, but still good- not great, but good. The cole slaw was good too. A little sweet, but not too sweet. Quarterdeck just doesn't do it for me. The hubby loves it, and once in a blue moon I don't steer him towards another dining establishment. The service is always decent, and they are family friendly, but the food leaves something to be desired. This past time I had a spinach salad which was supposed to have fried goat cheese, candies pecans and craisins on it...I opted to add Mahi to it, too. Well, they were out of craisins, and the goat cheese was meh---why fry a good thing? The fish was great, but not HUGE, and for a $20 salad, it's not so amazing. The husband always gets a chicken salad, and he loves it. We order an appetizer that is no longer on the menu, and although it's always good, the size of it keeps shrinking and shrinking, and for $10, I expect more. It's portabello mushrooms with tomato slices, mozzarella, red onion and basil in a pool of vinaigrette. This last time it was two pieces of each item, super small. The kids get some gross fried food because their kids menu is not geared towards healthy kids, it's geared towards creating more and more obese kids. I think DEEP fried is written on the menu like 4 times?! That's sad. For aiming to be a family restaurant during the day and sports bar after hours, how about a choice that won't make my kids fat or break my bank? How about GRILLED chicken or fish? I know they consistently change their drink specials, how about some decent options on the kids menu? Come on, you'd have more families dine there if you thought of their kids.
