    Beef Carpaccio and Arugula Salad.
    Michelle Z.

Quattro Caffé is a fun spot to get a nice cocktail and appetizer to nibble during your shopping excursion at South Coast Plaza. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The Beef Carpaccio and Arugula Salad is delicious as is the Fettuccine Alfredo with Salmon. I wish they'd bring the crostini and bean dip from former years. It was a delight but change is a good thing, so I hope there will be some thought given for an "open the palate" surprise like olives or caponata with crunchy focaccia bread. Always fun to see what is on the menu and avoid shopping fatigue.

Quattro Caffee is our usual dining option when we visit Costa Mesa Mall and crave Italian Food. Ambience is on the mark and service is always good ! We dined in today and started off with A gold Fashioned drink (their take on Old Fashion) and the Calamari. Drink was strong and good , Calamari had a nice sauce but did not like the meat quality. We got the Chicken Piccata and Gnocchi in Pink Sauce for the main course. Gnocchi was very good and highlight of the dinner. Chicken Piccata came with a very nice sauce but the meat quality wasn't upto the mark. Chicken was not tender at all. Desserts were again awesome. Tiramisu was great and so was FLAN. Loved them both Our server MONICA was awesome ! Great Service by her and she was really sweet ! Overall a Solid experience !

    Fusilli Con Salsiccia

Quattro Caffe is a small restaurant on the first floor of South Coast Plaza. There's a small bar bordering the outside and a good amount of seating inside. The service is honestly really good, our waiter was super attentive and positive when we came! It's not too busy during the week which is nice too since seating wasn't an issue. For the food, we got a fusilli con salsiccia and truffle fries. I like when places also have complimentary endless bread because... I just like bread. So having that while we waited for our food was nice. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip was a good pairing with it. The truffle fries were pretty good too, just would've wanted them a tad bit crispier but it's okay because they were still pretty tasty overall as an appetizer. The fusilli con salsiccia was good. The caramellized onions and mushroom were good and went well with the pasta and Italian sausage. The sauce was good, but I think I'm just not too into pink sauce as much. Still good overall though! The bowl was pretty big so it was worth it. Would definitely come back if I'm in South Coast and craving Italian food! The quality is definitely there and the staff are all so nice.

    Bruschetta and burrata

Today we ordered the bruschetta and burrata- They each come with small pieces of cardboard like bread and tiny pieces of unseasoned tomatoes. These two Italian dishes are hard to mess up but they have managed to... however the service is quickly and friendly and they fill up the waters quickly. the food is subpar & I won't be returning It is also very loud + overstimulating in their busy restaurant

Located in the South Coast shopping plaza on the first floor across from Balenciaga, it is a restaurant option when needing a respite from shopping without leaving the grounds or resorting to the loud food court. Amazing customer service, 5/5. However, the food quality for the price is where the star got docked. I'm hoping maybe it was a fluke and we just ordered the wrong things. Got the: 1. Truffle fries ($15): 7/10 Unfortunately it arrived drenched in oil and half soggy. Only the top layer of fries were crispy as gravity (even after only 1 minute) drenched the rest of the fries in oil. The seasoning missed the mark for me as the truffle taste was also not remarkable and it arrived with ketchup on the side, as if the kitchen also knew. 2. Burrata pizza (6.5/10): We were so stoked to see that they take pride in their Burrata so you can imagine our surprise when the Burrata was NOT fresh toppings but rather baked in! The best way to appreciate fresh Burrata is uncooked toppings, so we were very disappointed when it arrived. It does not look or taste significantly better than your local chain and therefore I cannot consciously say that it is worth the price tag or the trip. 3. Lobster ravioli (6/10): the lobster flavor is extremely subtle and there are no visible lobster pieces or texture, so at first glance/taste, it is impossible to know if they really used lobster. The sauce is tasty, but with only 4 pieces and almost indistinguishable "lobster", I can't say I'll be ordering this again. TLDR: If you NEED amazing service over all else or want a restaurant option when needing a respite from shopping without leaving the grounds or resorting to the loud food court, this is your option at $$-$$$ price point. If you are a foodie hoping quality to somewhat be related price, a different option away from the mall would be a better choice.

I had the Fusilli alla Vodka with Italian sausage and mushrooms, and it was my first time trying this dish. It definitely did not disappoint! The vodka sauce was rich, creamy, and coated every piece of fusilli perfectly. The Italian sausage was cooked really well and added so much flavor. Even though I'm usually not a mushroom person, I actually really enjoyed them in this dish. Adding a little Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked black pepper took it to the next level. Their espresso martinis are also a must-try. The bartenders definitely know what they're doing the drink had the perfect balance of bold espresso and smooth alcohol without either one overpowering the other. It was refreshing, well balanced, and one of the better espresso martinis I've had. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Food: good. Service: fast. Casual dinner, in the mall! Fairly quiet ambiance. We split as portions were very large.

If you're at South Coast Plaza doing some shopping, you should stop by this place to have lunch / dinner This place can get pretty busy so either come early or put your name down & walk around the mall. I've come here many times & the food has always been delicious. All the waiters here offer good service and they're very quick. There's a lot of great food options on the menu, they even offer gluten free / vegan options. I ordered the gluten free margaherita pizza with mushrooms and a cocktail, and they were both amazing. Highly recommend!

We had always seen this little cafe while walking around South Coast Plaza Mall, and we decided to finally try it out during our Saturday visit. We sat at the bar overlooking the mall. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks and food came out in a reasonable time. Truffle fries were on point! Pricey, but worth it. Pizza looked better than it tasted. Overall, we had a good experience and we would definitely come back.

Pictures on the wall stared at me while i ate my tasty pasta. 10/10 sauce on the ravioli. Muy bene service. Liked the little candles.

The after Christmas Lunch rush was no joke. Luckily they were able to squeeze my wife and I into the restaurant as other customers were requesting for larger tables. Service was quick and we ate and were on our merry way. The Arancini's were decent but needed more filling. The Spanish octopus was really tender and quite appetizing when drizzled with lemon infused olive oil. However the star of the lunch was the Ravioli di mamma pina. The miniature braised wagyu beef ravioli was amazing and had a lot of meat. The dish was hot and super yummy. The ambiance was loud and busy inside but wouldn't expect anything less in SoCal's best upscale mall!

We stopped for lunch today at Quattro at the South Coast Plaza. We were both hungry and started with drinks, bread and appetizers. We both had Don Julio Blanco with club soda and three limes muddled with mint. The drinks were OK but for $21.50 each were not what we expected. Light on tequilla and heavy on club soda. This drink generally is priced around $16-$19 elsewhere. That was the first impression. The minestrone soup, Cesar salad and bread were all excellent. My wife had the Sole al limone with broccoli which she enjoyed. I had the Salmone alla Griglia which was a good cut of salmon yet virtually tasteless. Sergio was very attentive at our table and the other servers helpful as well. The wait time for the meal was a bit excessive for the restaurant not being very busy. Nonetheless the overall effort and attempt to please was appreciated.

Went here for lunch on a Friday and it was perfect. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was amazing and staff kept our drinks topped off the entire time and were super attentive. We were sat in the back on the little patio and it was perfect. We started with the focaccia for the table and it's a must-order: warm, fluffy, and delicious. I had the spaghetti con pomodoro for my entrée and loved it. Portion sizes were perfect. I couldn't even finish my plate. I'd definitely come back. Great food, great service, easy lunch win.

I also had the white crab white omelette with spinach and substituted the fruit for hash browns. The omelette was light and fluffy, and the crab added a subtle sweetness. The hash browns were crispy and satisfying. Cappuccinos were great, rich, smooth, and perfectly foamy. Just note they are nine dollars each, which feels a little steep, but they were well made. Service was pretty good overall, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a solid four stars. We've been here a few times before and always thought it was decent. So, we made the last minute reservation online and got here 15 minutes early. When we arrived, there was a short line, but per the reservation instructions, one of my friends went in to check in while we waited outside. Friend: Hi, I'm checking in for a reservation. Bartender: What time is your reservation. Friend: 10 Bartender: What time is it now? Friend: 9:45 Bartender: Then I'll see you at 10pm. Friend came back annoyed and explained what happened. The bartender didn't say it in a joking way, but with attitude and annoyance. Most staff would respond "Thank you for checking in, we will let you know when your table is available." We weren't going to let this ruin our night, so we waited and were seated by the hostess. The bar itself is dimly lit and very tight. The music was loud enough that we had to almost yell to hear each other. The waiter came by soon after and was extremely friendly. We said we'd been here a few times before, but it's been a while. He refreshes our memory by saying they specialize making variations of classics. They want customers to focus on the flavors and that's why the menu doesn't list the spirit in their drinks. Also, they only make drinks on the menu because their drinks are prebatched/premade. We ask for recommendations which he was happy to give. We each order a drink and a snack for the table. As we're talking (very loudly so we can hear each other), we lose track of time before we realize that it's been 20 minutes and we haven't gotten our drinks yet. For something that's prebatched, it shouldn't take long. Before we can flag down the waiter, he comes by and apologizes that they lost our order and had to put it back in. We appreciate the honesty and say it's no problem. 5 minutes later, our drinks and food arrives. He again apologizes for the wait and has a second order of our food that he's including for free. Honestly we were ok with just the apology, but extra food too? Hell yea. Sounds like it was turning around. The drinks were okay. Not amazing, but definitely above average 3.8 / 5. The snack, bread and butter, were surprisingly good. 4.5 / 5 When we asked for the check, the waiter brought the credit card reader and told us we can swipe our card any time and left it on our table. We look at the bill and realize the waiter not only gave us the 2nd snack for free, but comp'd 2 of the drinks also. We all agree this waiter is GREAT. So why the 2 stars? Well first let me say, I would leave it at 1 star, but the waiter definitely earned them another. We wanted to pay cash, so we waited for him to come back. Instead, the original rude bartender comes by and realizes we haven't paid yet. We ask if we can pay with cash. He explains that they don't accept cash. Friend: Are you sure? *Proceeds to try to insert cash into the chip reader slot* Bartender: You're pretty stupid, aren't you? Friend: Maybe if I swipe it instead *Doubles down and proceeds to swipe the cash through the magnetic strip reader* Bartender: Wow, you really are stupid. My friend is a 100% a goofball and having fun with the bartender. It was OBVIOUS that he was joking. Was it funny? A little. Was it stupid? 100%. But for the bartender or ANY customer service staff to call a paying customer "stupid", that's simply unacceptable. We're all pretty pissed at this point and simply swipe the card and the bartender leaves. As I said earlier, we've come here a few times. We don't live especially close, but when we're in the area, we would always consider coming here. Now, there's no chance. For any business, even if your drinks and food are great, customer service can easily DESTROY your experience and that's exactly what the bartender did. Note to the male bartender with no hair: You really shouldn't be interacting with customers. You were rude from the start and have no sense of humor. Could you be having a bad day? Sure, but that's not an excuse to be rude to customers. I know management saw my original post because it was removed, probably because I referred to the bartender by his hairstyle (or lack thereof) multiple times. If they rather remove my post than deal with their bartender, that's another sign to avoid this place.
