My friend treated my friends and I to Quattro yesterday. We were six people. The meal was tasty, but service was not up to standards. For appetizers, we had calamari and two margherita pizzas. The calamari was delicious. As I adore spicy food, the slight kick of the sauce was pleasant. The pizza was simple but well made. The mozzarella oozed off the slices. 15 dollars for a mozzarella and basil pizza is painful to the wallet. Since I was hungry I forgot to take a picture of this portion of my meal. For my main course, I had a rustico panini that came with a salad. The panini was a good. I generally tolerate tomatoes, but the combination of asparagus and sauce made them tastier. The portion size was decent. Judging from my friends various pasta dishes, the food is enough to fill you up. But if you're starving, pass this place up. Dessert and coffee was nice. I had an espresso that was good. For dessert, I'm not certain what we had. The desserts were on the house as one of my friends, who was dining with me, works there. The chocolate cake with ice cream on top was my favorite. Each dessert was the right amount of sweet. Now to the worse part of the meal. The waiting service was bad enough to the point my friend works there was annoyed. They forgot the drink order for one of my friends and mixed up on for my other friend. The mix up between water and sparkling water isn't that bad, I suppose. The plates used for oil for the complementary bread were still there even after our some plates for the appetizers were picked up. After a bit, we decided to stack bread-dipping plates on top of the leftover appetizers. Then placed those off to the side to clear room. If I was grading on service alone, I would give them 2 stars. With each dish ranging closer to the 18+ range and bad service, I'd normally pass on Quattro. If you're in the mood for same Italian food, this place will do. read more

This has been a restaurant that my family and I have been going to for a long time. The food is always good, the service is always good, except this time. Our waitress, Aubrey, totally dropped the ball. She was slow, inattentive, did not have a good manner about her, and she completely forgot to put in the orders for our entrees! Not just that, we had to tell her that she hadn't brought us our food, she kept wanting to get a dessert order! She acted like she was on drugs or something?! Not good! Our busboy, Hugo, became our server adhock! He was great, well done Hugo! Seriously, even the manager lied to us about why our meals were late! Aubrey never apologized, or offered a free dessert or something to make up for her poor service. Come on Quattro Cafe, you can do better than this, shame on you for your poor performance! read more

I have been to this restaurant a few times and the food never disappoints. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The last time I I was helped by Brianna, she's incredibly nice and attentive. She is always smiling and her energy is very contagious, she makes sure that every guest is always feeling welcomed. I did not know what to get that time, so she suggested the shrimp Alfredo pasta with pink sauce, I never tried pink sauce before, and it was really good. The ingredients tasted fresh and really good all around. I recommend this restaurant to friends and family whenever they are in South Coast Plaza. read more

This is my go to place for food whenever I'm at South Coast. Let's start off with their bread and chickpea spread- YUMMY!! Their pizzas are very delicious and are made in a wood fire oven. Their "bistecca" sandwich is so scrumptious! I'm a huge fan of brie cheese and caramelized onions and spinach so this sandwich won my heart. Their pomodoro spaghetti is authentic, legit spaghetti- very light and the sauce is so flavorful. Just a heads up they put cream on top of their pasta so if you're not a fan let them know. Their tre formaggi ravioli is very good as well- my mom is not a big cheese fan and she loves this dish! I'm not a big prosciutto fan, however, their pollo ala birra is soooo good! It's hard for me to like a dish with any sort of bacon so this is a big deal! And their filet mignon is just so yummy! If you are at South Coast you MUST try this place! read more

More of a 3.5 stars but decided to round up. Ambiance and service were nice here. Our food did take a little while to get to us, only noticeable because the table next to us did get served first despite being seated after we ordered. We got the calamari and tried two of their sandwiches - the turkey croissant and the rustico, which had chicken, asparagus, sundried tomatoes, and pesto. The calamari and bread that was served beforehand were the highlights of the meal, extremely well made and very fresh and tasty. The sandwiches were good, nothing too crazy or exceptional but still good. The bread for the rustico was described as focaccia but it wasn't what I was expecting as it was flatter and more flaky than the focaccia I'm used to. But the ingredients were quality and overall wasn't a bad meal. A bit pricey but as was expected from South Coast Plaza. I don't really see myself coming back specifically for this restaurant but if I was in the mood and in the area, not a bad choice! read more

They have a brick oven and we were expecting a crisp and light crust. Instead we got soft and limp. I don't review on here often and I don't like reviewing if it's not about food, but there was no food, just bad service. So bad I can't just let it go. Who comes to a table with multiple people and leaves 1 glass of water when you have a full tray? Seriously we might not have been having a celebration, but we didn't deserve to be treated like pariahs. No napkins or utensils either. When the waiter came with those, he took one look at our table and moved on... to the table they seated after us, who already had their appetizers and everything else. Like wow really? 15 minutes in we had a bread basket and 1 glass of water and the table behind us got food and the rest of the waters. I wish I had never recommended going to this place to eat. I was so disrespected at this restaurant. The server was very rude. First his spit landed on my plate so I asked for a new plate which he didn't apologize nor bring me another plate. Was so excited to try this restaurant but it's so disapointing. After giving us the appetizers they let us wait for ONE HOUR for our main dishes. We tried to ask about our food for like 3 times but no one seemed to care until I got so irritated and showed my attitude that was when they started to rush to bring our dishes in. The table next to us they came in while we have been waiting for our dishes for like 45 min but got their food right after ours. Even some parties had came in after us but already finished their food and left while we were still waiting. When I asked for the reason why, one staff answered because we had the appetizers. So you should not have appetizers whenever you come here unless you wanna wait one hour for your main dishes :) after waiting for so long the food didn't taste that good anymore since the craving has gone. The night we went there was live entertainment. The servers and staff are very friendly and authentic... they make you feel very welcome. The food was very good (particularly for a mall restaurant). My sandwich was better than average, but the seafood pizza was accurately named. Lot's of toppings (especially seafood) at a reasonable price. I consider service equally important as the food, because a good experience can make the food taste more satisfying. I got greeted and seated immediately by my server Brianna who was amazing and very attentive the whole time I was there. Checked up on me literally every 5 minutes and made sure my food was good. This place is delicious! After a long day at South Coast Plaza, we visited Quattro Caffe and ordered Pepperoni Pizza, Bruschetta and fries. First off, the pizza was amazing and the cheese was put on I dollops which is the real Italian way to do it. The bruschetta was 13 bucks and we only got 4 pieces, but it was really good. In my opinion the bruschetta bread was a little too toasted. Lastly, the fries were amazing and we got a lot of them! Totally recommend this place! read more
