La mejor torta sin cruzar la linea!!! We had a combination torta lomo and ham, fresh fruit salad, carrot, beet, celery and orange juice plus a pineapple agua fresca. Agua fresca means fresh water in Spanish. It is a Mexican tradicion to make these punch like drinks out of fresh fruit just about any fruit can be whipped into an agua fresca. This place makes it right not too sweet so you can taste the fruit. We split the torta and that was the right portion. The bread is beyond perfect...definitely coming back. My family & I went here for brunch on a Sunday morning and was blown away by the service! I've been to the Escondido location plenty of times and wanted to introduce my family to the shop. Upon arrival the cashier and gentleman making the smoothies were immediately very accommodating. We ordered a lot of sandwiches so it was hard to keep track but they were kind and veeery patient. After we ordered they brought our smoothies to our table quickly and offered us samples of their juices! Super delicious & the tortas are huge! Seen this place for a while and decided to try it out today. Went in for takeout and ordered a banana smoothie, combination torta and slice of cherry cheesecake. Waited less than 10 minutes for my order which was awesome. The place looks super clean and well kept. My banana smoothie was delicious, once the ice began to melt it did have a bit of a watery taste but nothing to bad. The combination torta I ordered with the jalapeños on the side. The torta is a great size for the price. Bread is light and toasted tastes fresh overall it was delicious. The cherry cheesecake was good it tastes light not super dense. Next time I think I will opt for the regular slice next time the cherries were too sweet for me. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be coming here more often! read more

Besides the Tortas being good, I was highly disappointed with my Chicken Caesar salad that I ordered to go. When I got home to enjoy my salad it came with a pound of Parmesan cheese they basically poured half a container, and I know we like some cheese but this was over board. I tried mixing it to distribute it but it made it worse. Since I didn't want to throw it away I ended up washing it off. For my first ever experience and ordering a simple salad I don't think I'll be returning there. I understand it wasn't their specialty item, regardless it definitely ruined my lunch. read more

Right off the bat as we walked in we were welcomed with a warm greeting and don't let the outside for you because when we went inside this place it is immaculately clean and very inviting. From the fresh fruit on one side for fresh smoothies, Blended whatever way you prefer to the clean kitchen on the other side making a very tasty torta. This was our second visit and this place is soooo freaking good. My boyfriend got the pierna torta and I got the combination torta. I think they may bake their own bread because it was so fresh and tender and perfectly crisp on the outside. One of the best sandwiches we both have ever had. We also got the strawberry, pineapple, & mango smoothie and it was bomb. It had so much fruit in it and tasted so fresh. You can tell that they don't use a lot of ice as "filler" and instead really pack it in with fresh ripe fruit. The service was outstanding!! So welcoming and friendly, he explained to us what was in the sandwich and even offered to shut the doors because we looked cold. You can't beat the food or the service. We will be coming back often! I was a loyal customer at Que Torta they were amazing when they first opened up! But they are letting making money get in the way of customer satisfaction, they are starting to skimp on portions. They started only putting one slice of ham and one slice of turkey on the torta in a sad attempt to cheat the customer and steal money, they started watering down the aguas frescas to use less fruit. Found this new place by my house and I absolutely loved it. I don't like overly greasy food, and they definitely serve fresh, good food. Great stuff! We were looking for something different and found it through other reviews here. I've had tortas at taco shops around town, but these are in another league. I had their signature "Que Torta", which has ham, pork and turkey. It reminded me of a really good Cubano, but with chipotle sauce and jalapenos instead of pickles and mustard. Freshly baked bread and fresh ingredients throughout. It was really big, more like a big sub sandwich than the tortas I've had elsewhere. They also feature fresh fruit, juices and smoothies. I tried the horchata and watermelon agua fresca, and they were both fantastic. Highly recommended! I think I'll be coming here any time I'm looking for a sandwich, so much better than the sub places in the area. read more
