As a vegitarian was excited to walk in and see a sign calling out the veggie options. I was really looking forward to my "Treehugger" sandwich. **Grilled Portabella with peppers and onions with mozzarella** my sandwich arrived a good 5-7 mins after everyone else's meal and I was underwhelmed to say the least. The ss which was served with a snack sized bag of chips, pita was hard, the Bella was small and grease dripped everywhere when I picked it up to take my first bite! We are not local so probably will never try this again but wanted to warn those who may consider ordering it for themselves. Definately not worth the $9 price tag. read more

They are best known for their ice creams and for good reason: freshly churned and always delicious. The deli is equally good so go for a sandwich and an ice cream treat and you will leave full and happy. The decor is nice and have an old jukebox. Stopped here for breakfast on our way further west. Delicious omelette and fluffy pancakes made for a nice breakfast. The service was okay - not terrible or malicious, just a bit forgetful (our guess is that local teens who work here are a bit more interested in hanging out together than working). In addition to the ubiquitous vanilla and chocolate there is a daily special flavor in both ice cream and sorbet. Servings are generous when it comes to the ice cream. Specialty cupcakes from a nearby (Keyser's Candlewyke Restaurant) establishment are available. My wife and I stopped in early in the morning for breakfast and had to listen to the kitchen staff talk about their weekend. One of them dropped the "F" bomb three different times. We were the only ones in the very small dinning room so it was pretty obvious. When we talked to the manager about the improper language here response was "she normally doesn't talk that way". Within walking distance of the Ramada Inn, this little gem is just plain fun: great ice cream with an ice-cream-parlor feel. We haven't tried the sandwiches, but it's a regular stop for us for dessert, after eating at the nearby Baltimore Street Grill -- another fav in the historic, little town of Cumberland. Hometown favorite! My family eats here often. We love the service, food and atmosphere. The Creamery serves Boar's Head lunch meat which is the best quality available and we eat it at home. The soups are fantastic and homemade. The custard is the best. I've had gelato in Italy that wasn't as good as their custard. My children are happy that their music lesson is very near the Creamery it ensures we eat there at least once a week. read more

I like to support local businesses and I overall like the Queen City Creamery but the prices are a little high. The food compares to anything else it's pretty average but for what you pay you would expect to get more. I would go back but I am hoping they will read most of their reviews and lower prices, especially for wraps and sandwiches. read more

Its a short stroll from the old town mall area over to QCC. Sandwiches are OK, coffee not outstanding, nothing distinctive. The real reason to stop here is the frozen custard. The QCC calendar says it all. Say you've just gotten an outstanding Crabcake sandwich at Manhattan Grill. You then walk about 3 blocks to QCC. For about $15/person you have had an outstanding meal and awesome custard desert. These places are local "old part of town" favorites. It almost under the freeway bridge that runs through the center of town. You'd never see it unless you know about it in advance. Hardwood floors, wood booths, and the old soda fountain counter do add to the charm. Its a throwback, its an original. Good place to take out of town guests who think frozen custard is the Dairy Queen. Now they'll know the difference. Its true Americana. read more
