I enjoyed a nice breakfast here last Saturday am on my way to 7 Springs. The food was good and fresh. The service was warm and inviting.The Americano coffee was very tasty and served very hot as it should be. The new ownership is doing a wonderful job keeping the old feel while sprucing up and adding wonderful new entries to the menu. This place is being saved by a new ownership group who did not want to see a Cumberland landmark close like so many others unfortunately have. I stopped in today for a cappuccino(which was great) and was very excited to see that they had kept an eye on tradition while still moving forward to make the new phase of The Creamery a relevant business that answers the needs of today's consumer. While their ice cream is delicious, their service is terribly slow. We weren't sure if we were to sit down and order ice cream or order at the counter. There were menus on the table that would lead one to believe that ordering is done from a table. Once we placed our order (at the counter)for 3 simple ice creams it took a rather long time to get the ice creams. Still, it was delicious and I would give them a second chance. Be prepared to wait if you go here! Also, I would suggest to the owners that they work with employees to greet customers the moment they walk through the door. Food and ice cream is still good under the new ownership, but my experience with the service the past 2 times I was there was awful. The woman serving my ice cream didn't listen to me when I said I needed my cups to go (with lids and a bag) so I had to hold them in my lap as I drove. She seemed preoccupied with someone she knew. I really miss the old owners and the atmosphere that they used to have. The new owners have absolutely ruined it. Prices were always a bit high, but it was worth it. Now the staff isn't as friendly, the service isn't as good, and I don't think the food is quite as good as it used to be. Despite the Yelp description, they DO NOT serve frozen yogurt...this was an unwelcome discovery after I had driven all the way over there for yogurt after reading the Yelp description. We were here on a Sat. night around 8. We had never been here and was confused on how to order. Four people were working and no one greeted us when we walked in or offered to help.
