I expected so much less at LOVES truck stop and ended up having a great experience. Great service at the counter. Clean dining room that actually had staff cleaning. Quick turnaround of my order. A delicious McGriddle sandwich with hash browns and Carmel Ice Coffee. Yeah, this road stop was good. Wish all McDonald's had their act together like this. I want to give a quick shout out to the staff at this location. I stopped early morning for coffee and the clerk was friendly and service quick even though they were busy. The coffee was delicious. The dining room was small but clean. This location is an easy on/off the highway. read more

Making my way from my place back home with my family it was time to eat. The way that they came to pick me up and go back took us this way. Once you get past the I-70/I-68 interchange there isn't much until you reach the Cumberland area. This is part of the Love's station that shares a lot with a hotel. Dependent on the time of day you show up here, the lot will be teeming with a lot of people. Not to mention that the inside is a shared space as well. The McDonald's portion is adjoined to the Love's via a hallway. If you need the restrooms you go over to the other side. I used the kiosks to order our food which was easier to do than attempting to get to the counter. I'm so confused when you go to a McDonald's, some places bring your food to you, some yell out your number in hopes that you can hear it. This place was the latter. Customer service was decent, but once your food is yelled out to you, that's all you have with an interaction here. I never saw an employee at the counter unless it was to give out food. Food was decent, what we needed as we were all hungry at the time. It was prepared within a decent time, but nothing over the top or outstanding. read more

I'm not normally impressed with many McDonald's. I very rarely visit them but I stopped at this one today as I was driving from Kentucky to Pennsylvania. The Quarter Pounder with Cheese was the best one I ever had in my life from McDonald's. I asked for extra onions and they put it together perfectly. My wife and daughter both got Double Cheese Burgers with extra onions and pickles and they were delicious and perfectly put together. The chicken nuggets and chicken sandwich was also perfect. I ordered a double cheeseburger, small fries, and 4pc nuggets. My cheeseburger was piping hot, juicy, had plenty of cheese, salt and pepper. The nuggets were perfectly crispy, and my fries were tasty and perfectly salted. I've been here a few times and the service is excellent every time. This McDonalds is connected to the Love Travel Stop. No line at the drive thru on a Sunday morning, which was nice. The employee at the "pay here" window had her back to us and ignored us for a few minutes so we moved up to the pick-up area and paid there. They didn't get our order right. Asked for a bacon cheese in croissant with no egg, but they put in egg anyway. The order was correctly rung up and reflected on the receipt. Sweet tea was lukewarm and full of ice. The food is great, (as usual), but they screwed up my sister's drink. She ordered sweet tea with ice, she ended up getting diet coke with ice instead. The cashier was very kind and cheerful and was very patient when I was telling him my order to find out my order number. I ordered at the kiosk by the way. There was no music though, but I don't give a shit about the music. You can't go to McDonald's without them screwing shit up. Check your bags or happy meal boxes before you leave. 4 stars. You can't talk to a person. You have to order and pay at a kiosk which they only have 2 and one was not working. You go to the counter and pick your food up off a shelf. They don't even have a person give you your food. Them my bag was missing half of the food I ordered. I will never return to this place. This McDonald's is located off I-68E inside a Love's travel station. I'm certain the employees see their fair share of odd customers; however, it's no excuse for the bland customer service which seems to have become the standard. The phrase, "Thank you" is rarely uttered by the staff who seem to be, at times, more concerned with other things than a growing line of customers. Complaints of missing dates to work over are heard from the dining area as well. That being said, McDonald's is not a luxury resort and if you're looking for a quick unhealthy choice for dinner then this is the place for you. It is clean and not usually crowded. As far as the food quality, it's average for McDonalds fair. read more

After spending 20 minutes in line with only 2 vehicles in front of me I spent $15.00 for 4 milkshakes that were nothing but chocolate milk. Went inside and was told that is how they come out. First of all if an order is going to take a long time you should have that customer pull up and take care of the other, after all this is supposed to be fast food. If your shake machine doesn't work properly then advise the customer before charging them for milk. read more

Don't stop here. It's in a Love's truck stop. I have stopped here three times in the past month and have walked out twice. They are incredibly slow and not worth the wait. Terribly understaffed. There are numerous fast food options in Cumberland. The third time I ate at subway next door - Subway was prompt and courteous. read more
