    Shrimp with bean sauce
    Jose Manuel C.

Went out on Friendsgiving with my pescatarian friend, he said we should go there and we had a blast . We ordered shrimp on black bean sauce, it was delicious! Fish cake was nice and spicy, tofu was great ! They play good music here and staff is really attentive, I definitely recommend it!!!!!

The beef noodle soup is so so good and authentic. The tendon is so tender and the beef soup base has a rich umami flavor. The noodles are thick and just chewy in the right way. I think that's their best dish. The three cup chicken was good but not too special and the portion was quite small. Salt and pepper fish was a little soggy but flavor was good. The lady was very nice and patient with us, definitely unlike the fast rushed chinese restaurants. Very homey feel and good location. Lots of older folks eating alone which is quite nice.

They have the BEST beef noodle soup ($17) here!! The broth is full of flavor and the beef is so tender-and they give a lot! I haven't had any other beef noodle soup in the Bay Area as good as here! We also got the Crispy Rice Soup ($15) and that was okay as well as the Crispy Wontons ($7) as appetizer which beware is not actually wontons! It's just deep fried wonton skin that comes with sweet sauce They have both inside and outdoor seating. Service was good. We had to move tables because of the sun and the guy helped us move everything

One of my favorite places for lunch! I love their lunch menu items. Today, I chose the beef noodle soup, and it didn't disappoint. The beef was incredibly soft and tender, the soup had a rich, flavorful taste, and the noodles had the perfect texture. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!

3 cup chicken and chongqing Spicy Tofu
    Kerrie W.

We had a party of 3 and got the chongqing spicy tofu, 3 cup chicken, black mushroom with Chinese greens (it's shitake with bok choy), white rice and purple rice (which is purple rice + brown rice). The food was tasty (especially the chongqing spicy tofu). However to be honest I found the prices a bit high for the amount of food that we got. Looking around we didn't get the 3 dish deal that others mentioned--not sure if this deal has been discontinued or we just didn't know about it when we went. Still highly recommend the spicy tofu :)

Queen House is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving authentic delicious Taiwanese and Chinese food. We ordered some takeouts such as jelly fish salad, Taiwanese style fried rice noodles, Taiwanese pork chop bento, and Chinese chives in the box. All tasted very authentic and we will definitely return next time when we crave for some authentic Taiwanese food.

one of my favorite places! It feels really cozy and they have amazing food. They have such a good deal -- 3 dishes with rice for $41.99 (we had leftovers with three people). Everything is pretty saucy but it goes really well with rice. Make sure to check the Chinese side of the menu too since it has slightly different items ... Some recommended items from the few times I went: Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce: tender braised eggplant with crunchy veggies in a savory garlic sauce Three cup chicken: amazing flavor! Tender chicken on the bone with lots of sauce/basil Beef Stew Clay Pot: braised beef with daikon and carrots, lots of tendon pieces, super comforting and a lighter flavor than some of the other dishes Salt and Pepper Sparerib : perfectly fried tender pork! Black pepper beef: a nice balance of lean beef and vegetables, also a bit lighter in flavor in a good way I'll definitely be back to try the beef noodle soup and other items!

A great place to come with friends or a larger group! We got the 3 item special where you can pick any 3 entrees for a total of $41.99, and additional dishes are $13.99 each. Since we had a large group of 9 adults, we ended up ordering 9-10 different dishes to try! My favorite was the chicken and corn soup (since soup is always great for rainy/cold weather) and the oyster shrimp pancake - the texture is super interesting! Service was fast and efficient, and accommodating for our large party, considering we came during the middle of a weekend lunch rush. Plus, you get 10% off your boba order at Tea Era next order!

    Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet

We came as a party of two and we ordered the three item meal. Note that it also comes with rice. So we felt that this was a good deal. Note that there also wasn't any wait time as well. We chose the salt and pepper fish, eggplant tofu clay pot and dried tofu with shredded pork. We enjoyed every bit of every dish. We also had enough left over to make another meal the next day for lunch for two of us. The total was about $28 a person. But note that since we got another lunch out of it, in a way you can say it is enough food for four people. So technically, it would be about $14 a person. In summary, based on the price for the quantity and the taste was good. I would definitely recommend coming here. I myself, would come back again, no questions asked!

Service was very good. Always checking on us to see what we need and removed empty dishes. We didn't get to see but my friend said they have a banquet hall upstairs and you can pre order roast duck. For the food, we tried a few classics, and I think the hot and sour soup is a must try. Parking was pretty easy. Lots of spots in the back. Also the restaurant is close to Trader Joe's and Safeway. In fact I think a lot of it was Americanized Chinese. The food wasn't anything super special but it was solid and nothing was bad. Apparently the chef/owner is pretty famous and the restaurant has had many famous visits over the years. They do have a full bar which is pretty uncommon for Chinese restaurants There is also a lunch special. I'd say dishes are basically 20$ which isn't cheap. Overall solid American Chinese spot that is maybe more akin to pf Chang's but with more authenticity and some authentic staples. Execution is solid but wouldn't make a detour or anything to try again

Reservation was easy to make over the phone and you have to preorder duck ahead of time. We also got pan fried buns, bok choy, and mandarin fish. Dishes are expensive but good quality. I read mixed reviews about the duck but I thought it was great - crispy skin and relatively tender/juicy meat. It is the first time I've seen an extra charge for the duck pancake wrappers; it was not a pleasant surprise but at least they were thin and delicious. We opted to have a soup made from the leftover duck and that was delicious. Service was also pretty good; they even packaged the leftovers for us. Highly recommend for a special occasion or to impress friends but too much of a splurge to go to regularly.

We are huge fans of their sister location, Treasure in Belmont, so we were really excited to try…read moreout Imperial Treasure for dinner. Unfortunately, it just wasn't as good overall as the Belmont spot. The space itself is older, and the seating feels pretty tight and not as comfortable. As for the food, we ordered the Peking duck, which came with a lot of meat, but the duck itself didn't taste fresh at all. It had that distinct, stale "old meat" taste to it, and the texture was completely off and mushy rather than having a nice, fresh bite. The xiao long bao missed the mark too--the wrappers were too thick and the filling wasn't nearly as savory or delicious as what we're used to. Even the basic steamed rice tasted like a cheaper, lower-quality grain. For the other dishes, the stir-fried scallion lamb was way too salty, even though we specifically asked them to go light on the salt, and it lacked that deep umami flavor they get so right at the other location. On the bright side, the Treasure's signature beef honeycomb tripe was actually really good, though the spice level is definitely on the higher side so beware if you're sensitive to heat. For dessert, I finished with the sesame glutinous rice balls in sweet rice wine because it's one of my absolute favorites, but it fell short since there was barely any wine or osmanthus flavor. The service was also pretty lacking throughout the night. They didn't even bother to clear our dirty dinner plates off the tight table after we ordered our dessert, so everything was incredibly cramped. They also completely ignored the rest of our Peking duck instead of proactively asking what we wanted to do with the carcass bones and the remaining meat. We had to specifically flag them down ourselves to ask about it and explain what we wanted done with it, which should really be standard practice for a proper duck service. Compared to the sister restaurant, the execution, environment, and service here just aren't quite there yet.

Must check it out; looks dated, but still open so, food should be decent? C1 lunch plate consists of barbecue roast pork fried rice, chicken Chow mien and an egg roll with the sweet sour dipping sauce. All greasy but tasty. Stir fry beef with bitter melon in black bean sauce and white rice that my friend got was healthier and pretty good; she liked it. For dinner at China Wok, another pal and I enjoyed the almost scalding hot Westlake soup to start, and then dug into the house Chow mien, then fish fillet with snow peas. Noodles were great texture with excellent wok hay flava and contained shrimp, pork, chicken, onions and bean sprouts. I really enjoyed the delicate white fish sautéed in opaque sauce with snow peas, carrots and water chestnuts. I found everything very tasty. Service was brusque and adequate at lunch, slightly more welcoming at dinner. Oh and if you need to use the loo, don't expect much. There's a key you take outside.. yup, exit the building, and it's in the rear. Serviceable toilet and sink.. dim lighting makes everything appear dingy. Exactly like oldie gas stations and rest stops. Maybe this building was a fueling station for trucks before someone turned it into China Wok. Still, the Chinese American food here is legit; basic but tastes good. Value, amenities, atmosphere and service, though, could stand to improve. Upping a star just for being a place that has stuck around for some decades and is still standing.
