I was looking forward to trying Queen and unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. I was very impressed with how beautiful the place is. It is huge and luxurious. Everyone's nicely dressed- typical Miami Beach. Sadly, the food and entertainment is mediocre to say the very least. It was a group of 8 of us and none of us could name a dish that truly impressed us. Let me clarify that the food isn't bad, but if you are paying over a $1,000 tab- you expect exquisiteness and that wasn't the case. Do not go by what you see on IG. They make it seem like it's an out-of-this-world entertainment restaurant and the entire night we were expecting something other than a DJ playing loud music and making people clap. A few guests got on stage to dance- that was it. I think this place has a huge potential but isn't there yet. I was saddened to get influenced by IG and coming to find out it's just a fancy looking restaurant with nice pictures and videos that are far from the reality on a Friday night. We had an 8:15 reservation and arrived a few minutes prior so were directed to the bar. The space is beautiful and I liked that they have a dress code (although they didn't seem to enforce it for men especially). 8:15 came and went, my bf (who hates waiting) spoke to the hostess and tipped her, so we finally got seated. The food was good but not outstanding. Had avocado tart, sushi, filet, dover sole. Also ordered sides, which arrived after we finished our main courses. We had to speak to a manager to get them taken off our bill, even though we sent them back. Both of our tabs, one from the bar & one from dinner, included a "resort tax" of 5%, 11% state tax, 20% service charge, and a $1 donation to Camillus house (what?!?). The waitress also mentioned that we could leave additional tip for her. I really liked this restaurant. I came in with somewhat low expectations because of the 3.6 star review average. The ambiance in the front lobby is nice. Definitely feels like you are entering a theater and you won't regret living up to the standards of the dress code. You won't feel like you've overdone it if you dress up. You also get serenaded by a violinist while dining. As far as the meal, for starters i wanted a light vodka based beverage and waitress recommended the Mademoiselle without the flower and that was good. Followed that with Japanese wild mushrooms black truffle butter (def one of the better sides), brocolini, avocado tart (this was just a sliced avocado on what feels like a cracker topped with a jalapeño), cauliflower and the unagi roll for the appetizer (this was really good even if you are new to raw fish). I had the scallops as an entree. We had the soufflé for dessert which ended up being really good. It had vanilla ice cream peanuts chocolate and caramel. Portions were small except for desert, but everything tasted really good and came out quick. The service was also good and they let us stay over our two hour time. read more

Are used to go to the Paris theater in South Beach and I was a little kid where they would play a double feature for $1.50. Later became a photo studio for photo shoots and videos and now most recently it has become a restaurant. From the moment you walk in Its meant to remind you of it old or decor movie theater and they've done a wonderful job in doing so. There are posters from vintage movies in the golden age of Hollywood. Everywhere you turn it is beautifully decorated and designed from the bar to the chandeliers to the carpeting. The upstairs mezzanine has a beautiful view of the entire first floor and it's really a nice place to eat with great ambience. All four of us had different dishes and everything was delicious. The sirloin which was somewhat small had great flavor in my chili and Seabass was one of the best I've ever had. The appetizers were delicious desserts or fantastic.Most of the food had a little bit of a kick to it that I thoroughly enjoyed. However a member of my party requested their lamb chops to not have any spices or seasoning still had a kick in so much so that he was unable to eat it. We made it clear that he could not eat spicy Or heavily seasoned food and were told that would not be a problem but we got it anyways. The place is a little bit on the expensive side but it's South Beach and the place is fabulous so it's expected. The Pisco sours or amazing at the bar. I hope to be back soon read more

RI recently dined at Queen for the second time, and like my first visit, the evening started off fantastic. The food was delicious, and our waitress was amazing--attentive, friendly, and professional. Everything seemed perfect, until a seemingly small but unfortunate issue arose toward the end of the night. My phone, which I had placed next to me on my chair, slid down and got stuck in the pocket of the chair. The way the chair was designed made it almost impossible to reach underneath to retrieve it--no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't get to it. When I first explained the situation to our waitress, she immediately sprang into action, calling over a bus boy and a few other staff members to try and retrieve the phone. Unfortunately, they also failed. At this point, the waitress told me she would get the manager to help out. This is where things took a turn for the worse. The manager (an Asian woman with long black hair, working the night of February 8th, I failed to get her name) came over. Unfortunately, rather than offering a solution, she was dismissive and seemed uninterested in trying to help. I explained the situation calmly, and she told me to come back on Monday to retrieve my phone. I felt that wasn't an acceptable solution, especially given how much we rely on our phones in today's world, particularly in a city like Miami. I suggested we try using a screwdriver to disassemble the chair, but she insisted that wasn't possible. When I mentioned that this situation was purely happenstance and not anyone's fault, she still seemed uninterested in resolving it. She actually said, "It's not our fault," which wasn't my point. The issue she failed to take proactive steps to help, and it was getting close to closing time. Ultimately, my friend and I decided to take matters into our own hands. We managed to force our arms into the chair to successfully get the phone, but we ended up scratching our arms and bleeding in the process. Once the manager saw that we were hurt, she made an incident report her priority. Rather than offering a band aid or assistance, her first words were, "Now I have to make a report and file an incident report, you'll have to sign." To top it off, when we were visibly upset, the manager was still cold and detached. At this point, I asked for the check, and a very kind waiter offered us some wipes and bandaids to tend to our wounds. I'm grateful for their care, but the lack of empathy and proper handling from the manager was frustrating. She should have been trained to deal with situations like this in a more thoughtful, customer-first manner. I truly hope the restaurant addresses this issue with their management team, as this is a great spot with good food and excellent service--except when it comes to dealing with unforeseen problems. read more

Came here for my 40th Birthday this past Saturday and what a night! Lets start with the decor..OMG what a beautiful place to go. The lighting, the walls just everything was breathtaking. The service was top notch and the staff very friendly. The food!!! We tried a little bit of everything The Blue Fin Tuna Tataki, The Hamachi Tartlet, the Crispy Salmon Nigiri, Crispy Prawn Tempura, and the Grilled Octopus all were very delicious and tasty. The raw fish was very fresh!!! We also ordered the Lamb Chops, the Skirt Steak, Roasted Branzino, Miso Glazed Seabass, Creamed Corn and the Broccolini. I cane decide what was my favorite!! All so delicious and well worth the price. The cocktails were also amazing my favorite being the Heavenly Sovereign ( I asked for it extra spicy and they delivered). My husband and I walked by Friday night. We saw three women walk in with an older gentleman that was wearing shorts. Let's just say the women were dressed very very provocatively (no judgement) I was wearing cocktail attire clothing. My husband was wearing a very expensive shirt from suit supply, belt trousers and dress shoes. We weren't let in because he was "underdressed" the only reason we were not let in is because I was wearing a necklace that signified my Jewish religion. This place is 100% anti semitic. I don't usually leave reviews, but I had a dinner on Saturday for my birthday around 7pm. I was running late for my reservation & they said my table would have to be given up if I wasn't there within a 15 minute grace period. When I arrived, they did accommodate me just fine, but it was super dead in there so I'm not sure what the stress was about. Despite it being EMPTY & no other tables arriving until after 9pm, they sat my table of 4 directly under the air vent & automatically offered us blankets?? No other table was given blankets because their tables weren't directly under the A/C so that was already beyond annoying to me. The service was bad, to say the least. She came around & said she'd make the night a "special one" for me but we proceeded to wait around & look for her for the entirety of the dinner. Food was alright, but I've definitely had better sushi in smaller, cheaper places. I'd made the reservation there mostly for the atmosphere & a show so I would've ignored the bad dinner, however the saxophone player only came out once for 10 minutes as we had dinner. Server was weird as we left, didn't say thank you or even a happy birthday. It also took her 15-25 minutes to retrieve the card payment & return the cards lol. It was pretty bad to say the least. I'm in the service business, so I get she may have been busy running around, but she needs to manager her time better or be given smaller sections. Also didn't know the menu without reading off the pages, which is a small detail but for the restaurant she works at is absurd. The setting is truly stunning, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by poor service and a lack of attention to a serious concern I raised. I have a dairy allergy, and when I asked one of the staff members, Benjamin, whether a certain dish contained dairy, he brushed me off and didn't seem to take my question seriously. When I asked again, he simply pointed at someone else, as if I were supposed to communicate with them through sign language. This left me feeling completely disregarded. Sadly, I went ahead with the dish, trusting that l'd been given accurate information, and it turned out to have dairy in it. This made me very sick for the rest of the evening, and my experience at Queen Miami Beach was ruined. I ended up needing to go to the clinic due to the reaction. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience in hopes that a manager will address the issue. Benjamin's lack of attentiveness and care was unacceptable, especially when it comes to food allergies, which can be life-threatening. I truly hope the staff at Queen Miami Beach can work on better training and communication to ensure that future guests' needs are met with more professionalism and respect. The only reason for 4 stars was because my husband didn't have a suit on, and they told him to go and find one when we were already at the door. And our friend was wearing very cool Balanciaga shoes and they told him they don't consider them dress shoes. Very rude to judge style. Anyways we ended up changing them and came back. Everything is super expensive but the experience is worth it. I do think they should be a tad more lenient and understand style at the door. But I also get where they are going with it. I will definitely be back. I wish they would have told us over the phone that suits are a must for men. Anyways the whole experience was amazing. The ambiance exuded sophistication, and the entertainment was a standout feature, adding a delightful touch to the celebration. Portions are light, pre-eat before if you're not here to spend $$$. Wish I could say the food was something special, it's a modern Japanese menu flavors were light, not as sultry as expected, but good nonetheless. If you bring a birthday cake - the cutting $10/person they add sparklers, this is normal. The service can be described as peculiar & awkward. I went to Queen for my birthday and reserved the omakase experience on the second floor. It was PHENOMENAL !! It was a 14 course experience. Chef Kamakura was super interactive, every course was better than the last. The omakase sits 8-10 guest; our party was a total of 8 so it was nice to have our own little area and dinner experience for my birthday.
