Queen's platter (smaller).
Mike W.

Excellent Ethiopian cuisine--I got the Queen's platter I believe it was, which contained a beef dish, a chicken dish, plus several vegetable dishes and injera, the Ethiopian flatbread. Everything was delicious--the beef especially nice and tender. Based on the food itself, five stars. However, the service was really lackluster. I was by myself but still, if anything, I feel the waiter should have been a bit more talkative given all that but was barely bothered to smile or anything. No questions like "have you had Ethiopian food before?" or recommendations or such. The restaurant, while charming, was also a bit cramped and seemed like even given the tight space a bit better layout should have been possible. If the front of house staff could match the chef's own dedication, this could fully be a real winner.

I ordered food to go and the order was ready on time. Queens Lamb tips-- Spicy but not so spicy that it was overwhelming. Even through the spice, I could get a lot of good flavor of the very tender lamb. Beef Sambussa-- The outside was very crispy and the filling was well seasoned.

The veggie sambussa was amazing: crispy, hot, savory, delicious The sampler was all good: the lentils spicy and flavorful, the collards savory and flavorful, the mushrooms spicy and savory, the potatoes and cabbage also delicious. The service was friendly, and the decor authentic and cozy.

This place was pretty busy on a Saturday night. The inside has limited seating so we were sat outside. My husband and I shared the sampler, which allowed us to try six difference foods. Everything was delicious! We were so full on this alone.

This is one of my favorite places for the business meetings. Great service, excellent prices, beautiful ambiance and most importantly delicious food! It's a little hidden gem. Don't miss it! And everyone at this restaurant is very very kind and friendly !!

Second visit was as great as the first. Their house tea is delicious. It's hard not to get the 6 platter and have your own little Ethiopian smorgasbord! We'll be driving down from north west Pasco more often for this place!

My first Ethiopian food experience was at Queen of Sheba, and it did not disappoint! Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The restaurant only has a few tables, but there did appear to be some outdoor seating available as well. We all ordered the Queen's six platter, which came with a sample of 6 dishes including chicken, beef, and vegetarian, served with Injera for dipping. I surprisingly enjoyed every single dish, and the bread was soft and perfect for scooping up all of the various dishes. We all ordered water, but it came in bottles for an extra charge. Would recommend for anyone wanting to try Ethiopian food for the first time!

Such an amazing gem in Tampa. It's an extremely comfortable spot to bring for any occasion with anyone. The food was absolutely immaculate. It was such an amazing experience to eat and enjoy ourselves and I will be back here at least once a month. Fantastic service, as if your at your own family members house! If you could make a top 10 list for Tampa eat spots this would definitely make it.

Azifah & Beef Sambussa: very good

I ended up getting the honey fried chicken and my husband got the jerk chicken. He loved the jerk chicken. The fried chicken was just okay to me, but it also didn't seem fresh, so I'd be willing to try it again on a regular day and see if it's better fresh. Now the sides? They were SO good. I'd go back for the mac and cheese alone. The yams and greens were top tier too. The service was great. The lady serving everyone was so nice and had the best energy. We'll definitely be back because there were a few things we wanted to try. Looking forward to trying the oxtail and turkey wings next time.

The café is small with only a few tables, so most people order to go. The menu switches throughout the week: Caribbean food earlier in the week and soul food later on. I ordered the catfish dinner with yams and mac & cheese, and everything was delicious. Be prepared to wait a little for your food since the proteins are made fresh. I waited about 30 minutes, but it was definitely worth it.

Upon entering, the restaurant has this homely, cozy vibe with wooden tables and picnic style wooden chairs. We were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered the following: For drinks: Georgian Peach drink from the country Georgia and Kompot - a juice blend of berries I had the Goat and Beet salad and the Goulyash which a Hungarian style soup with beef chunks seasoned on paprika infused broth with peppers and tomatoes. The broth was to die for! My husband has the Sampler Platter which is a good choice for a first timer since you get to start a lot of plates in one platter. It had beef stroganoff, chicken keiv, golubtsy, lamb plov. I wanted Honey cakes dessert but unfortunately they ran out. So this gives another excuse to come back! You'd never guess busy Fowler Avenue and all those shiny new businesses are just steps away. This is free-spirited, relaxing and zen. You can study here, chill-out and reset. It's colorful and very sunny, but it would also be the snuggliest place to sit while it's raining and just sip away and read. There are so many drink and food options here. I had the pistachio matcha with strawberry cold foam and a spinach/feta pastry. Both were good choices. You can order at the register or from a QR code and they'll call you to come get it. It's so casual and laid back. This adorable hangout would melt away any work frazzles I could possible walk in with. I love the low ceilings and the vintage hardwood floors and the slouchy couch and the eastern light streaming in the front window of this older, repurposed home. There's original artwork everywhere, including the ceiling (some of it's for sale). There's also a rack of clothing items, jewelry, scrunchies and other items for sale. I love the eclectic vibe-and the guitar propped up by the front window. Phoebe could definitely sing "Smelly Cat" here. Heck, they're so welcoming here, Ross could probably set up his keyboard and share "the sound." They DO have live music here-and a side patio. There's some parking up front and extra parking in back. And the service is friendly. I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll be back to try the apple fritter croissant and soak up more relaxation. Happy days from Felicitous!

I want to like this place a lot more, I really do. I mean anywhere that offers completely vegan…read moretakeout should be five stars in my book. So what's the problem? First, I'll start with what's not the problem. This small hole-in-the-wall store is completely filled with vegan items. Some of these are items I've seen at Whole Foods, Nutrition S'Mart, Chuck's, Trader Joe' s or Abby's, and some of them I've never seen before (different brands of salmon patties, tuna and fried chicken just to name a few). Items for sale include canned goods, frozen foods, condiments, snacks, baking items, spices, homemade baked goods and fresh smoothies. All of these seemed to be priced pretty close to your local health food stores like Chuck's, Abby's or Nutrition S'Mart. Our original reason for visiting was to order some take out. The menu was hard to find (it was behind you when you walk in, not on a big sign over by where you order). Once I found the menu, I asked for a tofu wrap. The wrap was full of fresh veggies and nicely textured tofu. The tofu was some of the best I've had recently. I loved that the sandwich could be topped with any number of vegan condiments including chipotle mayo. I opted for plain old mustard since my daughter was sharing it with me. Speaking of my daughter, that child started crying from hunger while we waited for our sandwich to be made. What did the employees do? They offered her a homemade carob cookie absolutely free. The crying immediately stopped (hmmm...maybe I should teach her to cry on command so we can get more free stuff) and a huge smile spread across her face. The owner of the shop was very knowledgeable. She took me on a tour of the store, talked to me about the products, shared which ones were vegan and not (they have like three or four things in the store that have eggs in them) and gave me recommendations based on customer feedback and popularity. Not sure if you like something? Instead of buying an entire box, Natural Detox/Vegan Take Out will sell them in smaller increments. Buy only two vegan chicken patties or nuggets instead of an entire box. That's something I've never seen before. So why only three stars? Well, the reason I needed a tour of the store is because nothing is labelled. You'd find the same products at two different places in the shop. The refrigerators aren't clear, so you have to open them to see inside. Then you stand there looking around and rearranging things. All the while energy is being wasted unnecessarily. The owner did apologize a lot and kept saying she was in the process of defrosting refrigerators. I'll give them a few weeks and then stop back in. With a few simple tweaks, like better organization and labels on the outside of the refrigerators telling you what's inside, this store would easily be a four or even five star one.

I've been to Natural Detox/Vegan Take Out a few times and it is awesome. A rotating menu of…read moredelicious vegan entrees and desserts that are homemade. The owner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The small shop has some nice items, too. I love the ambiance, like your sitting at the table in the cozy kitchen of a doting relative. If you're looking for healthful vegan fare that is predictably tasteful, you'll find it at this spot.
