    Sugar cane juice

*The owner of the restaurant is amazing. She was so accommodating and the food was delicious and spicy), but they give the option of little to no spice. *I tried moimoi as suggested and it was delicious. It tasted like a mixture of a crab cake *i ordered the jollof rice and 2 beef and fish dish. I didn't like the fish as much but the beef and jollof rice were amazing. *tried sugar cane juice for the first time. It wasn't my jam. Tasted too much like plants. I have no better way to describe that lol. It's similar in flavor to coconut water.

I had some Nigerian food for the first time from here! This review is based on my first experience. They are located off of W. Columbus Dr. and Armenia Ave. southeast corner. Parking is a bit limited as it is one space deep against the building, but not too bad if you're careful. The restaurant space is modest, humble, and comfortable with African music in the background via wall mounted flat screen TVs. There is a sink available in one of the seating rooms for customers to wash their hands. I had the okro with shrimp and fish (with fufu) and purchased egusi with two beef and one fish (with fufu) for later. Everything was delicious! The beef, however, was a little tougher than what I'm used to, but the flavor was still good. The fish was perfect. This is traditionally eaten with hands, so I did.

I have driven by this place and it used to be a chicken place but was never open. As I was driveing on Columbus street looking for someplace unique, I think I found it. It is an Afro- Latin American cuisine. The parking is a little weird as it is used by multiple businesses and you cannot tell if you are going to get towed. They folks are very inviting but although the place looks like it was put together on a limited budget, the folks are very friendly. This is really A Nigerian family that has a lot of traditional foods. They use Cuban bread but they have a stiffer mashed potato that you use to sop up the soup. I ordered the Pepper soup with goat meat. She warned me that it would be spicy and it definitely had a kick but nothing I couldn't handle. The goat meat had bones and some fat, but that is expected. The plaintains were probably the best I have had... They have sugar cane drink with line made from freshly squeezed sugar cane. Didn't realize a medium was $5 The water is bottled water. When I got the bill I seem to have ordered a bunch of items and it was $23 before tip, just for myself. I think I may try to come back again for a different meal and be more concensious of what I order.

The food served here brings back the taste of Nigeria. I felt like I was home in my grandmother's kitchen. The food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating! 10/10 would recommend

The Jollof rice was highly delectable and the beef, and fish, were cooked very well. Overall, the meal was delicious!

New favorite spot ALERT…read more This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill. Do not sleep on this little hidden gem on 5th! Before I say anything I have to say this was the best falafel I've had in my life!!!! And I'm so upset I took pictures of nothing because I was just blissfully stuffing my face the entire time. We had: sampler appetizer with 3 dips, pita, falafel and a rice salad. Tacos. Steak kabob gyro. And falafel platter with side chicken kabob. Chocolate pistachio cheesecake. Crème brûlée. The total was under $125 and that feels like a great deal for allll that food! Everyone brought home leftovers. Every single thing was delicious!!! It's also a byob spot which I love. So feel free to bring your own bottle of wine! The staff is wonderful! So sweet. The restaurant is also super cozy and intimate. Reservation recommended in case, but could easily get an outdoor spot or walk in and place a to go order! I cannot wait to try their brunch!!! I pinky promise I'll take pictures then.

Unfortunately, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price, especially the chicken dish. We arrived at 5:45 p.m. for our 6:00 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly, which was appreciated. However, we waited about 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. While our waitress wasn't particularly attentive, she did apologize for the delay in getting our food. The restaurant itself is cute, specially outside seating. One suggestion is that the tables are larger for two people. The table next to us requested another table to be moved over to hold their food and drinks properly. The pita bread didn't arrive until later in the meal, and while it was a nice addition, it didn't make up for the small serving sizes and lack of anything to dip it into at that point. I truly wanted to love this restaurant and leave a glowing review because the food itself was very good. Sadly, between the long wait, service issues, and portion sizes that didn't match the prices, the overall experience fell short of our expectations.

After the bread service, I'm usually stuffed but the light salad was a nice light addition to our meal. The salad is very lightly dressed but we added a little leftover sauces from the bread service to brighten it up nicely. The samosas are large and filled with vegetables and beans. They also have mango chutney and a tamarind sauce on the plate. They are quite filling. This restaurant is located at Animal Kingdom Lodge so of course the atmosphere is very detailed right down to the restrooms. After our meal we usually enjoy walking out onto one of the balconies to see some of the animals that roam the property . Took 3 person to look puzzled and then when we get tired we ask if they going to seat us as our kids are hungry . They sat us at the bar that has a 8 seater . The 5 of us was relieved to be seated as we have a long day of traveling to Disney world with 2 babies . Kevin our waiter took our appetizer orders and we were happily drinking our wine and test tasting the appetizer when an employee came to ask if we mind sharing our 8 seater table with another family. We politely declined as our kids will have difficulty eating with strangers . Then came the manager Damon, and tell us that we have to give up the other side of the table as this is a common area table . Who cares what table you have , w make reservations for window seats a month or two ago and now we are seated at the bar with a 5 year old and a very hungry and irritable 2 year old and they keep bothering us to give up half the table . So he thinks that being the manager asking we would give in & share our table with strangers ? There are at least 1/2 the dining tables that has been vacated due to the lateness of the dining time . Son in law and I don't like his manner nor tone and couldn't believe Disneyland, a place where dream come true . Couldn't accommodate us with a peaceful dinner time with our 2 little birthday girls . We finally gave in because they are making a scene and I am pass being hungry . This manager has no management nor customer skills , why can't you open other tables for new customers instead of moving us and bothering us like we are being punished for their system loosing our reservations ! Our app still have the reservation but their restaurant doesn't have our name not information. But that manager Damon, took the Worst service person on my books , being traveler for years and tasting cuisines around the world , never had I enjoy the food but has a bad taste of customer service spoils my enjoyment . To Disney. My granddaughters says never eat there ever again in her life , she is only 5 years old .

I should've known better, it's Disney, they're gonna make sure that things are approachable for a large variety of people and it absolutely was! There were so many dishes that I enjoyed and I got to try new things that were exotic, but not too exotic. They did have some stuff that could be for a little bit more adventurous types, but I had enough things that were fun and different that I felt like I was taking advantage of the African cuisine and not missing out on that opportunity. It is a buffet, it comes with juice, tea, or maybe lemonade? I can't remember exactly, but you can get their POG juice if you want. It was a very large glass of juice, I will say that, more than I could drink! I'm glad that we finally went because I've heard about it for years and I've just never really been interested or willing to go, but this opportunity showed me that it is a wonderful spot.

If you're staying near Kidani Village, the shuttle is usually quicker than walking, especially if you're close to your reservation time. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of African-inspired dishes, an omelet station, ham-carving station, make-your-own yogurt section, desserts, Mickey waffles, and traditional breakfast items. I especially enjoyed sitting near the open kitchen, where we could watch the staff prepare the food. The atmosphere was comfortable--not too bright and not too dark--and the service was excellent. Our coffee cups were never empty. We waited about five minutes after checking in for our early reservation, but by the time we left, the restaurant was packed and several parties were waiting. There are no animal views from Boma, so consider another restaurant at the resort if that's important to you. However, the food quality is excellent, and the value is fair for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Come hungry and enjoy yourself.
